  • Hello friends,
Welcome to my channel. This is where I document my travel adventures, at the same time share useful tips and guides with you.
This is day 3 morning of my 7 days Solo Trip to Jeju Island. In this episode, I will share how to get to Mountain Trail entrance. Join me to ascend one of the three sacred mountain in Korea - Mount Hallasan.
First thing first (if you plan on hiking up this mountain as well):
Have you MADE AN ONLINE RESERVATION??? (IMPORTANT - See Below)
Website to Make Online Reservation to Climb Mt Hallasan
    visithalla.jej...
    Useful info of Hallasan Trail:
    www.alltrails....
Website I used to check for Weather:

Weather changes quickly in Jeju, do also check with the local website for weather updates as well
Useful Info on AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness):
    www.treksandtr...
Useful Safety Tip: Try to go at a steady pace instead of hiking up fast, especially if you are not conditioned to do so. If you feel unwell, descend to a lower altitude immediately instead of pressing on. If you still feel unwell after resting, seek help and medical attention. Head down if you have to, there is always another time to climb the mountain.
Download Naver Map App (to navigate in Korea):

Parking Fees at Seongpanak Visitor Information Center (As of 2023)
(One of the two Hallasan Trail Entrance)
    Motorcycle: 500 Won
    Light Car: 1000 Won
Passenger Car (Trucks under 4 tons): 1,800 Won

I really enjoyed both your videos on Mt Hallasan! Was making plans for this hike and feel so lucky to stumble upon your videos, they're really helpful! If I plan to follow your route (ascending via Seongpanak and descending via Gwaneumsa) do I need to make a booking for both the trails or just the ascend trail? Thank you..

For my hike, I have booked only based on my ascent trail - Seongpanak. I did not have to book for both trails. I hope this helps. Enjoy your hike too :)

Great video! Really helpful information on the logistics and the need to book ahead. Roughly how far in advance do you think you should book?

it depends I guess. I think there will be some periods where more people will climb (i.e. weekends, or over public holidays). It will be ideal to book in advance before your trip, just to be sure you reserved your slot :)

Hi, I am not sure what season it will be by November. For my trip, I set apart 8-9 hours for the entire hike. I suggest to start as early if you can. During my trip, I started at 7am and came down around 3pm. I hope this helps
