This theory definitely makes sense. There are puzzles in Trespasser that you solve by lighting a velfire next to each of the animal symbols. The rhyme goes: “One sees the hunter, one flees from it, one hunts it in turn, one outwits them all.” First light the brazier located on the bottom of the tower next to the statue of an owl. Next head back to the top of the tower to light the brazier near the halla statue, followed by the brazier next to the dragon statue. Last descend back to the bottom floor to claim the reward from the loot box waiting between the paws of the large Dread Wolf statue. Falon'Din sees Anduril. Ghilan'nain flees from her. Mythal hunts Anduril in vengeance, the Dread Wolf outwits them all. ??? And… we have Codex entry: The Ascension of Ghilan'nain and this part: „On the second day she drowned the giants of the sea, except those in deep waters, for they were too well-wrought, and Pride stopped her hand.” Pride starts with big „P” ;)
First in order, Happy Birthday! Secondly, I love the Evanuris and anything related to their tales. It fills me with such longing, sorrow and curiosity. How so much potential and promise was turned into something so twisted boggles my mind. It's all just so very tragic, and I love it. I wonder, what could've been the trigger to turn Ghilanain into such a monster? Trauma might certainly have a level of involvement here. I am curious about the other gods and if we will have any more information about their whereabouts. So many questions...for now, I hope you have a wonderful day with your husband! I hope you had a great birthday, and I hope you enjoyed the movie! I have yet to see it. I actually re-read The Masked Empire really recently, so this story is definitely fresh in my mind. Personally, I believe this story to be legitimate. To my knowledge, BioWare has never addressed this, but I believe that Felassan was not only an agent of Fen Harel, but I believe he was there at the time. Throughout the book, Felassan had literally given little tells that this could easily be the case. When Briala was frustrated that the Dalish would rather look for the old Elven word for diamond than help the city elves. Big surprise, Felassan knew it right away. He also knew about the state of being in uthenara. I remember hearing about this as far back as DA:O, maybe DA II, but Felassan shed far more light on this than we had known previously. I definitely see the potential of a love triangle, definitely, even domination on Andruil’s part. But personally, I don’t believe Felassan’s history lessons and legends to be just stories. It feels like he was around at that point.
There is so much potential here and I hope they do something like this because I would love to hear about all the drama between the Evanuris. I wish I knew more about the psychology of myth so I could know more about what the elements in Felassan's story are really trying to communicate. And this combined with some of the other theories out there about how Ghilanain and Andruil could have fused together and this having some connection to the red lyrium idol...well, I don't want to let my thoughts wander too far. But regardless of the direction they take it, my hopes are that maybe through Solas, we will really get to know the Evanuris and when we do have to take them down, we will just feel sad about who they used to be and what could have been. Or maybe we will all end up on the same side fighting something that is even worse; who knows? Hope you enjoy your day off and your movie!

That old dawg and his conquests 😏 It make sence for Olympian coded beings to screw and cheat on each other with each other. They are immortal, uber powerfull, live in ridiculous excess and spend time in close circle of high society. This lifestyle often leads to boredom, and this is where politics, violence and sex comes along. Solas' own nostalgic remarks in Winter Palace proves it. So this love triangle could have existed. Furthermore I won't be surprised if Ghill had something with Elgarnan and Dirthamen in addition to Andruil, or Solas had a thing with Mythal, so it's not even triangle, it's a blody love tesseract 😂 Although, I personally have love/hate relationship with this theory. On one hand it could be so much fun to see unravel... Can you imagine the drama of their reunions in DAV? Especially if Solas is in love with Lavellan? Adds new layer of personal stakes in current conflict to everyone involved. Like what if Ghill would want to get back at old lover for trapping her in blighted prison for hell knows how long? Could she team up with Inqusitor who shares the same sentiment in regards to her ex, who left her crippled? Or maybe Ghill could mock him by hurting squishy Lavellan, like he should know better than get attached to shemlen. Or if she still harbors some good will for him and instead pulling her punches, maybe she will feel betrayed when she finds out she was replaced in his heart by mere mortal? What if Ghill was that mistake "he could carve from stone by memory", and she actually broke his heart giving him those legendary trust issues girlies in Solavellan hell know so well? So many possibilities for juiciest drama, om nom nom 😋 On other hand, gosh, it so melodramatic. Like there is SO MANY possibilities for ridiculously personal shit between them all it could cheapen the stakes of the conflict. People here dying, dealing with double blight, demons, fabric of reality and fate of the world, but it all happening because antient aholes can't get over bad thousand year old break up or smth. Like, seriously? All of you almost destroyed the world twice because of THAT? GTFO! 😂 It is kinda amusing scenario for fanfiction, but I hope it's not the case for the game 😅
Haha true. We like drama but it's better to keep it balanced and epic 😁 That's why I like the idea of Solas just being a fan of her knowledge and powers than just being in love. It's less than 40 days till DAV is out. We are almost here to meet our Inky again and eat up all the passionate drama around Solas haha
@@ImpGoose 38 days and counting 🤗 I think I could dig idea of Solas and Ghill having a fling ages ago based on shared intellectual and magic savviness, that turned into alliance she eventually betrayed for power, making it impossible for him to trust Lavellan, no matter how much he loves her. Maybe add crush or mommy issues with Mythal too, who smart and powerful too, but also kinda shady in her treatment of her allies. Like it feels to familiar with Inquisitor: another brilliant and talented girl, natural at the game, just his type, which makes her potentially corruptible by power and capable of manipulations or soul crushing back stabbing, which he knows he won't see coming because it's his blind spot. Hence his choice to keep her at arms length and eventually leave, hoping physical infatuation will fade with time. It adds that spicy complexity to characterization, but leaves high school drama out.
These are really cool points. Which makes it potentially legendary and epic to see Mythal in DAV. I have a weird feeling that she is in Morrigan somehow... that's why she speaks differently and her mannerism is not the same 🤔
@@ImpGoose quite possible. I don't believe for a second Mythal is dead for good. Flemeth said soul can't be forced upon the unwilling, and Morrigan did agree to give herself up to Mythal service in all world states but one, where she don't have Kieran and did not drink from the Well. Bioware could ignore this branch, like they retconned Leliana's death, and say Morrigan possessed by Mythal with various flavors in dialog. Like she had to do it because of the Well, or because she volunteered her body instead of Kieran in the Fade, or even because she wanted knowledge and was happy to pay any price. I get the feeling Mythal is some kind of spirit who bonded with Flemeth in the same way Cole bonded with dying mage. Actual Flemeth died ages ago, but Mythal kept her personality. Maybe whatever Solas did at the end of DAI released her from that bond and she became herself again, came to Morrigan and offered partnership similar to one avvars have with their gods.
wow i’d never thought of the halla in the story as ghilanain! that would add so many layers of dynamics to the evanuris/ghil and solas, especially now that she’s free… the story of andruil trying to groom her/sway her to her side and maybe try to corrupt ghil w blight would really humanise ghil, especially since she seems to want to prove herself so desperately to these gods (spoiler datv!!! saying she has to raise herself to the heights they see for her) and just make her reasoning much more understandable, rather than just “evanuris bad greedy”. my solavellan heart would like to believe solas was trying to sort of distance her from the bad/predatory (literally) influence of andruil and the evanuris…and of course she did not let that slide ! no lust needs to be involved, but it would surely make it interesting… wow this opens up a whole realm of humanness i didn’t think for in the evanuris and their scrabbles!!

This wasn't what I was expecting when thinking of a love triangle, but that's why I love it. Another good one Honk! I would also love a video on Mythal and how she might be the true villain of the story. That the Goddess of Justice may conflate justice with vengeance when it comes to confronting the people who wronged her. I believe there are some codex entires that hint at a darker side to her and when she turned into a serpent to lie in wait for Andruil and steal her knowledge of the Void, maybe she had an ulterior motive then simply detaining Andruil. There was a theory made by a youtuber that speculated that the old gods are in fact fragments of Mythals being and that's why they are dragons. And she is collecting all the pieces to make herself whole and as Flemeth said, "Unleash a reckoning that will shake the very heavens". Narratively speaking it would fit well if she is the last person we must fight, the All-Mother of the Evanuris.

I think for whatever reason that Felassan never lied just like Solas, so this story may be half-truth, but presence of Anaris catch my mind everytime. Which type of relationships have evanuris and forgotten ones in these times? Where are forgotten ones, which crimes committed Solas against them? And my actual big question - is Fen'harel the Formless One? Where is the 4th forgotten?

But OMG he had hair! Well, considering that the Evanuris overthrew the Forgotten Ones and took their ruling power...I think they didn't like each other that much. Haha, it's in the elven legends. If we choose to believe them, Elgar'nan ordered everyone to forget about the Forgotten Ones. That's why we don't know their actual name. Just "Forgotten". I doubt that Solas is the Formless One. I believe you are confusing two different things. I was the same 🤣 So, the Formless One is a part of the Forbidden Ones. They are four demons while the Forgotten Ones are elven gods (maybe elves too). So, I can't wait to see the 4th demon! We met one of the Forbidden Ones in every game 🔥🤟🏼
@@ImpGoose ohh I saw ALL THESE pictures and videos, I am actually spoiler-hungry😁 he looks so, so young with hair, I can't stand... of cource he is older))) world of thedas v1 says, that "the old gods are said to begin whispering to humanity from black city" in -2800 ancient, near 3700 years ago (who I mean where evanuris), and around the same time, according to legend, elven begin to notice aging. everything clicks. also he said he slept for millennia (plural). I doubt these two are different entities(because of band of three), but even if they are, demons are spirits and ancient elvhen were spirits once, so they are similar to each other. And Solas (or Fen'Harel idk) was called by Mythal herself, so he wasn't a common spirit, he must be exclusive. Like all of forbidden are somehow unusual. wiki says, that "the Forbidden Ones as having once held a corporeal form. But they abandoned the People and gave up their physical forms to become mutable spirits. Thus the Evanuris exiled them from their lands. Familiarity with shape allowed them to travel the shifting paths of the Fade unaided." Imshael and Gaxkang both can shift their shape in battle(but not xebenkeck). also, the whole Ancient Elven Writing codex screams "Fen'Harel" for me and it has this line - "a shifting, shadowy mass with blazing eyes, whose form may be one or many", so he was very mutable too. and there are only one forbidden left. in my head it looks like a half-assembled puzzle, I see all the parts of the whole, but it just doesn’t add up to a complete picture and drives me mad😁 But I also love the theory that Archdemons were Evanuris' champions, and that is why Solas was furious when he learned about the Grey Wardens' plan in the Inquisition, perhaps he was one of them. it makes so much sence with the last revelations. Solas, you bastard, who the fuck are you? Anyway, what are your impressions of Beetlejuice?)))
Yeah, that's the thing about DA lore. There are too many stories that never add up which looks like they were left open on purpose so that writers can use whatever they need to cover up a plot hole or something haha. The film was gross and sometimes funny, which is a perfect continuation of the Beetlejuice story. I was surprised how many people came with little children. Probably, they forgot what the 1st film was about. I mean, there's literally gore stuff and vulgar jokes. Well, they left after 30 minutes :)
If you like Tim Burton and understand his humour. Otherwise it's just a gross film with cringy moments 😅 I liked it but it's not something that you want to watch again haha If you want something light and fantasy, Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves was a nice film
To me their whole situation feels like a teenage romance drama xD But maybe there was less romance/lust than Fellasan implies. Solas might have seen Ghil's potential, helped her reach the level of greatness of the other Evanuris simply by encouraging her as a friend and aiding her if needed. Andruil wanted to possess Ghil's discoveries, make herself stronger through them and saw Solas as an obstacle, someone who kept Ghil from falling for empty words. Perhaps Andruil had been flirting with Ghil to convince the young mage to work for her exclusively. Instead by targeting Solas and capturing him Andruil spurred Ghil's wrath, causing Ghil to want to achieve something more than what Andruil offered; to become one of the great Evanuris and not just an assistant. So maybe Andruil didn't want Solas in his bed to spite hím, but to spite Ghil for ignoring her. Or perhaps Andruil wanted to taint Solas for Ghil, make him lesser in her eyes. I think Anaris wasn't there to stake a claim for Solas as well, but rather to aid him but in a way that would not look like Solas was working with the Forgotten Ones. Because in the end the Forgotten Ones listened to Solas' suggestions, went into their earthly tombs willingly. It was the Evanuris Solas had to trick, and that included Ghil by then. Makes me wonder what Ghil thought of Mythal btw, as Solas once wore her vallaslin and was called to her side to aid her. They had a similar start in their rise to power; that of an underling to an established Evanuris.. Perhaps Ghil was a great catalyst to the killing of Mythal, thinking it would free Solas from Mythal's grasp.. not knowing they were friends in the end. This makes me think of the story of the hunter that captured and tortured Ghil as well, after which Andruil made her a halla. Did Andruil actually save her, or only come to her rescue after a staged attack so Ghil could finally be in her dept. These stories are never as simple but also not as complex as we think they are. As so much context was 'lost to the ages', and a lot became hearsay and speculation or interpretation of books of which half the words had lost their meaning, we no longer know which parts hold a fraction of the truth and which parts are made up. All we do know is that power corrupts, meaning the established Evanuris were likely less saintly as the stories made them out to be. But also anyone who'd aspire their level of power would have to be corrupted along the way, simply to be able to compete on their playing field. Solas claims he did not want to be a god, yet he too has amassed great power and with it has become corrupt in a way (he no longer trusts anyone and makes assumptions and decisions based only on what he believes is the better choice) ----- I will be avoiding more and more spoilers from now on, as a lot of content is full on scenes and knowledge and no longer hints and speculations. Meaning I might not be as active in your comments for a bit, unless it is a spoiler free video. Still love what you do and can't wait til we get our hands on the game! Countdown; 39 days left!
Very good points! There are so many details in official lore that it's hard to say something is true for 100%. I just want to know 3 things. 1. Who are the Forgotten Ones? 2. Was Solas a slave with velasalin or was he a spirit like Cole? Or maybe he was a normal powerful mage like all of them? 3. Who and why started the blight. I know that there are spoilers about it online, but I'm like you. I'm avoiding them and trying not to read reddit. I accidentally spoiled the story by stumbling at screenshots of young Solas and Ghil 😭 It was the last drop. Idk what kind of videos I will post from now on, but avoiding spoilers is my first priority too! Maybe we will just chat during streams haha
Problem I have with Ghilan'nain knowing Solas before is that why didn't she then turn him in to the Evanuris? After all, they called him Fen'Harel because they didn't know who he was.
No, they called him Fen'Harel because most of the Evanuris saw him lower than them because he didn't take on a dragon form like the rest of them. Fen'Harel was suppose to mean rebel wolf, because he also went around freeing the slaves from under the Evanuis and the nobles of that time.
Maybe it's about Sea Monsters ? Ghilan'nain was told to slay all beasts she has made to join Gods, and she didn't kill sea monsters supposedly because of Solas. It's like their dirty little secret. Perhaps Ghilan'nain herself didn't want to kill sea monsters too, and when Fen'Herel stopped her she saw more or less a familiar being in him. Both of them are after knowledge and both of them have gift to creating things. Solas with dreams and Fade and Ghilan'nain with living creatures. She had to met Solas before she was god, given timeframe.

They called him that because he walked among both them and "the forgotten ones". If they had known who he was, there would've been no need for an alter ego.

They knew who he was, and Solas knowing Ghilan’nain before she became a god was already mentioned in Inquisition before Trespasser (in the codex about her creating monsters). He is the Pride that stopped her from killing monsters of deep waters.
Oh, i just love the tragic fate of passionate lovers. I wish for a new Morrigan like sorceress to cut out my heart and souls. Cassandra and Isabella felt way too normal for my taste.

Here's my questions in relation to the whole thing: 1) Was Solus born a god or not? The clips from DA:V kind of seem to say not. That he was just an elf. And that he ascended after Gil. But I may just be misinterpreting what we've seen. I will say I don't think he was born a god. He's too much on the outside. 2 If he wasn't born a god, well, yes he could have been entranced by Gil. But I wonder if he wasn't more her brother. If not brother, I think the cut scenes indicate more of a childhood sweetheart. Someone he knew for a long time. I wonder if his story doesn't parallel the heist story that was on Netflix. If you saw it, you know what I mean. 3) Andriul's punishment is harsh. R-pe is a harsh punishment, but it fits with our own knowledge of gods caprices if you look at Greek and Roman and Norse gods. And in the old stories, men are supposed to be grateful for such honors, usually. It's a bad stereotype, but it opens up the question of how IS he supposed to feel about it and how does he actually feel about it. Did it happen at all? Anyway, I just have questions and possibilities.
DA lore is confusing but I'll gladly help you out 😉 1. Solas wasn't born a god. None of the Evanuris were. They are powerful mages who won a war and believed they are divine. Solas was against it. 2. Ghil is the youngest in their pantheon. She joined the Evanuris when they had already been at power. I recommend you to watch my video about her on this channel, it explains many nuances. So, Solas was higher in rank than Ghil and had influence. 3. Considering that Solas is a part of the Evanuris pantheon, they were equals. It was an act of dominance because of what Solas had done to "halla". Whatever "halla" means in this story. These are speculations and I don't believe elven myths as they are propaganda. However there are some obvious truths there that can be supported by logic (for example, they couldn't be all blood related and that "family" was a figure of speech) and creative writing in narrative design 🔥🤟🏼 Hope this helped!
@@ImpGoose @ImpGoose Yeah. I haven't seen the "won a war mages" part. Against the Forgotten Ones, then? I did know Ghil was the youngest and last. Sounds like she might not have been their during the war. I get and got that Solas is of higher rank. The thing is, the elves were immortal, yes? I seem to recall that before they were subjected to humans and enslaved. So there could basically be a 4000 year age difference between them, and they could still be brother and sister. The thing is, isn't he saying "You were the sweetest of us." in one of the leaked memories that has come up of late? Who is Us? She was in a group with him, but clearly not the original evenarius or there wouldn't have been a delay in her ascent, yes? We'll find out eventually with the game, one assumes. As for halla in the story, it's either the creature or Ghil, who is at times taken as a halla. Though who knows, the creatures may have additional significance we're unaware of.
This game has already failed in your reality. No matter what happens it won't change for your perception. Based on what I see, it will be a good 6.5/10 game where -3 points come from the art style and -0.5 from the story as it's impossible to write something that will satisfy everyone. I'd like to add one more thing as a part of common sense. Generalisations come from people who believe that all people are like them. However we know that it's not true otherwise we will agree with everything. I'd recommend you to watch Broomstick Gaming and their video about combat gameplay. DAV will succeed not only among fans who are into lore, but also among those who will find this combat fun. My husband was highly sceptical but now he can't wait to try out his dwarf warrior. So the question is...do you want to believe this game will fail? Or is it a simple disgust towards the art style? Do you base your opinion exclusively on preferences for beautiful characters and believe that all people in the world must do the same? Mechanics make a game and have nothing in common with art and music. Without mechanics it's just a film. So, what are you trying to generalise in your comments?
I don't believe elven myths and base my theories using some info and mostly logic and knowledge of narrative design. Elven myths are propaganda and if you read all codex pages, you'll see that there's a pattern. They couldn't have been war generals AND relatives at the same time. I mean, by that logic all people who work together are family. Is it true? I'd recommend you to watch the videos about Ghilan'nain and Elgar'nan on this channel to see all the nuances ❤️

But regardless of the direction they take it, my hopes are that maybe through Solas, we will really get to know the Evanuris and when we do have to take them down, we will just feel sad about who they used to be and what could have been. It make sence for Olympian coded beings to screw and cheat on each other with each other. They are immortal, uber powerfull, live in ridiculous excess and spend time in close circle of high society. This lifestyle often leads to boredom, and this is where politics, violence and sex comes along. Solas' own nostalgic remarks in Winter Palace proves it. So this love triangle could have existed. Furthermore I won't be surprised if Ghill had something with Elgarnan and Dirthamen in addition to Andruil, or Solas had a thing with Mythal, so it's not even triangle, it's a blody love tesseract 😂 Although, I personally have love/hate relationship with this theory.
On one hand it could be so much fun to see unravel... Can you imagine the drama of their reunions in DAV? Especially if Solas is in love with Lavellan? Adds new layer of personal stakes in current conflict to everyone involved. Like what if Ghill would want to get back at old lover for trapping her in blighted prison for hell knows how long? Could she team up with Inqusitor who shares the same sentiment in regards to her ex, who left her crippled? Or maybe Ghill could mock him by hurting squishy Lavellan, like he should know better than get attached to shemlen. Or if she still harbors some good will for him and instead pulling her punches, maybe she will feel betrayed when she finds out she was replaced in his heart by mere mortal? What if Ghill was that mistake "he could carve from stone by memory", and she actually broke his heart giving him those legendary trust issues girlies in Solavellan hell know so well? So many possibilities for juiciest drama, om nom nom 😋
On other hand, gosh, it so melodramatic. Like there is SO MANY possibilities for ridiculously personal shit between them all it could cheapen the stakes of the conflict. People here dying, dealing with double blight, demons, fabric of reality and fate of the world, but it all happening because antient aholes can't get over bad thousand year old break up or smth. Like, seriously? All of you almost destroyed the world twice because of THAT? GTFO! 😂 It is kinda amusing scenario for fanfiction, but I hope it's not the case for the game 😅

I think I could dig idea of Solas and Ghill having a fling ages ago based on shared intellectual and magic savviness, that turned into alliance she eventually betrayed for power, making it impossible for him to trust Lavellan, no matter how much he loves her. Maybe add crush or mommy issues with Mythal too, who smart and powerful too, but also kinda shady in her treatment of her allies. Like it feels to familiar with Inquisitor: another brilliant and talented girl, natural at the game, just his type, which makes her potentially corruptible by power and capable of manipulations or soul crushing back stabbing, which he knows he won't see coming because it's his blind spot. Hence his choice to keep her at arms length and eventually leave, hoping physical infatuation will fade with time. It adds that spicy complexity to characterization, but leaves high school drama out.
These are really cool points. Which makes it potentially legendary and epic to see Mythal in DAV. I have a weird feeling that she is in Morrigan somehow... that's why she speaks differently and her mannerism is not the same 🤔
@@ImpGoose quite possible. I don't believe for a second Mythal is dead for good. Flemeth said soul can't be forced upon the unwilling, and Morrigan did agree to give herself up to Mythal service in all world states but one, where she don't have Kieran and did not drink from the Well. Bioware could ignore this branch, like they retconned Leliana's death, and say Morrigan possessed by Mythal with various flavors in dialog. Like she had to do it because of the Well, or because she volunteered her body instead of Kieran in the Fade, or even because she wanted knowledge and was happy to pay any price.
I get the feeling Mythal is some kind of spirit who bonded with Flemeth in the same way Cole bonded with dying mage. Actual Flemeth died ages ago, but Mythal kept her personality. Maybe whatever Solas did at the end of DAI released her from that bond and she became herself again, came to Morrigan and offered partnership similar to one avvars have with their gods.
wow i’d never thought of the halla in the story as ghilanain! that would add so many layers of dynamics to the evanuris/ghil and solas, especially now that she’s free… the story of andruil trying to groom her/sway her to her side and maybe try to corrupt ghil w blight would really humanise ghil, especially since she seems to want to prove herself so desperately to these gods (spoiler datv!!! saying she has to raise herself to the heights they see for her) and just make her reasoning much more understandable, rather than just “evanuris bad greedy”. my solavellan heart would like to believe solas was trying to sort of distance her from the bad/predatory (literally) influence of andruil and the evanuris…and of course she did not let that slide ! no lust needs to be involved, but it would surely make it interesting… wow this opens up a whole realm of humanness i didn’t think for in the evanuris and their scrabbles!!

This wasn't what I was expecting when thinking of a love triangle, but that's why I love it. Another good one Honk! I would also love a video on Mythal and how she might be the true villain of the story. That the Goddess of Justice may conflate justice with vengeance when it comes to confronting the people who wronged her. I believe there are some codex entires that hint at a darker side to her and when she turned into a serpent to lie in wait for Andruil and steal her knowledge of the Void, maybe she had an ulterior motive then simply detaining Andruil. There was a theory made by a youtuber that speculated that the old gods are in fact fragments of Mythals being and that's why they are dragons. And she is collecting all the pieces to make herself whole and as Flemeth said, "Unleash a reckoning that will shake the very heavens". Narratively speaking it would fit well if she is the last person we must fight, the All-Mother of the Evanuris.

Well, considering that the Evanuris overthrew the Forgotten Ones and took their ruling power...I think they didn't like each other that much. Haha, it's in the elven legends. If we choose to believe them, Elgar'nan ordered everyone to forget about the Forgotten Ones. That's why we don't know their actual name. Just "Forgotten".
I doubt that Solas is the Formless One. I believe you are confusing two different things. I was the same 🤣 So, the Formless One is a part of the Forbidden Ones. They are four demons while the Forgotten Ones are elven gods (maybe elves too).

also he said he slept for millennia (plural).
I doubt these two are different entities(because of band of three), but even if they are, demons are spirits and ancient elvhen were spirits once, so they are similar to each other. And Solas (or Fen'Harel idk) was called by Mythal herself, so he wasn't a common spirit, he must be exclusive. Like all of forbidden are somehow unusual.
wiki says, that "the Forbidden Ones as having once held a corporeal form. But they abandoned the People and gave up their physical forms to become mutable spirits. Thus the Evanuris exiled them from their lands. Familiarity with shape allowed them to travel the shifting paths of the Fade unaided." Imshael and Gaxkang both can shift their shape in battle(but not xebenkeck).
also, the whole Ancient Elven Writing codex screams "Fen'Harel" for me and it has this line - "a shifting, shadowy mass with blazing eyes, whose form may be one or many", so he was very mutable too. and there are only one forbidden left.
in my head it looks like a half-assembled puzzle, I see all the parts of the whole, but it just doesn’t add up to a complete picture and drives me mad😁
But I also love the theory that Archdemons were Evanuris' champions, and that is why Solas was furious when he learned about the Grey Wardens' plan in the Inquisition, perhaps he was one of them. it makes so much sence with the last revelations. Solas, you bastard, who the fuck are you?

Yeah, that's the thing about DA lore. There are too many stories that never add up which looks like they were left open on purpose so that writers can use whatever they need to cover up a plot hole or something haha.
The film was gross and sometimes funny, which is a perfect continuation of the Beetlejuice story. I was surprised how many people came with little children. Probably, they forgot what the 1st film was about. I mean, there's literally gore stuff and vulgar jokes. Well, they left after 30 minutes :)

To me their whole situation feels like a teenage romance drama xD But maybe there was less romance/lust than Fellasan implies.
Solas might have seen Ghil's potential, helped her reach the level of greatness of the other Evanuris simply by encouraging her as a friend and aiding her if needed. Andruil wanted to possess Ghil's discoveries, make herself stronger through them and saw Solas as an obstacle, someone who kept Ghil from falling for empty words. Perhaps Andruil had been flirting with Ghil to convince the young mage to work for her exclusively. Instead by targeting Solas and capturing him Andruil spurred Ghil's wrath, causing Ghil to want to achieve something more than what Andruil offered; to become one of the great Evanuris and not just an assistant. So maybe Andruil didn't want Solas in his bed to spite hím, but to spite Ghil for ignoring her. Or perhaps Andruil wanted to taint Solas for Ghil, make him lesser in her eyes.
I think Anaris wasn't there to stake a claim for Solas as well, but rather to aid him but in a way that would not look like Solas was working with the Forgotten Ones. Because in the end the Forgotten Ones listened to Solas' suggestions, went into their earthly tombs willingly. It was the Evanuris Solas had to trick, and that included Ghil by then. Makes me wonder what Ghil thought of Mythal btw, as Solas once wore her vallaslin and was called to her side to aid her. They had a similar start in their rise to power; that of an underling to an established Evanuris.. Perhaps Ghil was a great catalyst to the killing of Mythal, thinking it would free Solas from Mythal's grasp.. not knowing they were friends in the end.
This makes me think of the story of the hunter that captured and tortured Ghil as well, after which Andruil made her a halla. Did Andruil actually save her, or only come to her rescue after a staged attack so Ghil could finally be in her dept.
These stories are never as simple but also not as complex as we think they are. As so much context was 'lost to the ages', and a lot became hearsay and speculation or interpretation of books of which half the words had lost their meaning, we no longer know which parts hold a fraction of the truth and which parts are made up. All we do know is that power corrupts, meaning the established Evanuris were likely less saintly as the stories made them out to be. But also anyone who'd aspire their level of power would have to be corrupted along the way, simply to be able to compete on their playing field. Solas claims he did not want to be a god, yet he too has amassed great power and with it has become corrupt in a way (he no longer trusts anyone and makes assumptions and decisions based only on what he believes is the better choice)

Very good points! There are so many details in official lore that it's hard to say something is true for 100%. I just want to know 3 things.
1. Who are the Forgotten Ones?
2. Was Solas a slave with velasalin or was he a spirit like Cole? Or maybe he was a normal powerful mage like all of them?
3. Who and why started the blight. I know that there are spoilers about it online, but I'm like you. I'm avoiding them and trying not to read reddit.
I accidentally spoiled the story by stumbling at screenshots of young Solas and Ghil 😭 It was the last drop. Idk what kind of videos I will post from now on, but avoiding spoilers is my first priority too! Maybe we will just chat during streams haha

Problem I have with Ghilan'nain knowing Solas before is that why didn't she then turn him in to the Evanuris? After all, they called him Fen'Harel because they didn't know who he was.

No, they called him Fen'Harel because most of the Evanuris saw him lower than them because he didn't take on a dragon form like the rest of them. Fen'Harel was suppose to mean rebel wolf, because he also went around freeing the slaves from under the Evanuis and the nobles of that time.
Maybe it's about Sea Monsters ? Ghilan'nain was told to slay all beasts she has made to join Gods, and she didn't kill sea monsters supposedly because of Solas. It's like their dirty little secret. Perhaps Ghilan'nain herself didn't want to kill sea monsters too, and when Fen'Herel stopped her she saw more or less a familiar being in him. Both of them are after knowledge and both of them have gift to creating things. Solas with dreams and Fade and Ghilan'nain with living creatures.
She had to met Solas before she was god, given timeframe.

They knew who he was, and Solas knowing Ghilan’nain before she became a god was already mentioned in Inquisition before Trespasser (in the codex about her creating monsters). He is the Pride that stopped her from killing monsters of deep waters.

Here's my questions in relation to the whole thing:
1) Was Solus born a god or not? The clips from DA:V kind of seem to say not. That he was just an elf. And that he ascended after Gil. But I may just be misinterpreting what we've seen. I will say I don't think he was born a god. He's too much on the outside.
2 If he wasn't born a god, well, yes he could have been entranced by Gil. But I wonder if he wasn't more her brother. If not brother, I think the cut scenes indicate more of a childhood sweetheart. Someone he knew for a long time. I wonder if his story doesn't parallel the heist story that was on Netflix. If you saw it, you know what I mean.
3) Andriul's punishment is harsh. R-pe is a harsh punishment, but it fits with our own knowledge of gods caprices if you look at Greek and Roman and Norse gods. And in the old stories, men are supposed to be grateful for such honors, usually. It's a bad stereotype, but it opens up the question of how IS he supposed to feel about it and how does he actually feel about it. Did it happen at all?
Anyway, I just have questions and possibilities.
DA lore is confusing but I'll gladly help you out 😉
1. Solas wasn't born a god. None of the Evanuris were. They are powerful mages who won a war and believed they are divine. Solas was against it.
2. Ghil is the youngest in their pantheon. She joined the Evanuris when they had already been at power. I recommend you to watch my video about her on this channel, it explains many nuances. So, Solas was higher in rank than Ghil and had influence.
3. Considering that Solas is a part of the Evanuris pantheon, they were equals. It was an act of dominance because of what Solas had done to "halla". Whatever "halla" means in this story.
These are speculations and I don't believe elven myths as they are propaganda. However there are some obvious truths there that can be supported by logic (for example, they couldn't be all blood related and that "family" was a figure of speech) and creative writing in narrative design 🔥🤟🏼

I did know Ghil was the youngest and last. Sounds like she might not have been their during the war. I get and got that Solas is of higher rank. The thing is, the elves were immortal, yes? I seem to recall that before they were subjected to humans and enslaved. So there could basically be a 4000 year age difference between them, and they could still be brother and sister.
The thing is, isn't he saying "You were the sweetest of us." in one of the leaked memories that has come up of late? Who is Us? She was in a group with him, but clearly not the original evenarius or there wouldn't have been a delay in her ascent, yes? We'll find out eventually with the game, one assumes.
As for halla in the story, it's either the creature or Ghil, who is at times taken as a halla. Though who knows, the creatures may have additional significance we're unaware of.

This game has already failed in your reality. No matter what happens it won't change for your perception. Based on what I see, it will be a good 6.5/10 game where -3 points come from the art style and -0.5 from the story as it's impossible to write something that will satisfy everyone.
I'd like to add one more thing as a part of common sense. Generalisations come from people who believe that all people are like them. However we know that it's not true otherwise we will agree with everything. I'd recommend you to watch Broomstick Gaming and their video about combat gameplay. DAV will succeed not only among fans who are into lore, but also among those who will find this combat fun.
My husband was highly sceptical but now he can't wait to try out his dwarf warrior. So the question is...do you want to believe this game will fail? Or is it a simple disgust towards the art style? Do you base your opinion exclusively on preferences for beautiful characters and believe that all people in the world must do the same? I don't believe elven myths and base my theories using some info and mostly logic and knowledge of narrative design. Elven myths are propaganda and if you read all codex pages, you'll see that there's a pattern. They couldn't have been war generals AND relatives at the same time. I mean, by that logic all people who work together are family. Is it true? I'd recommend you to watch the videos about Ghilan'nain and Elgar'nan on this channel to see all the nuances ❤️
