Problem i found with the cameras instead of mirrors is when you tie the strips of rag to each one to flutter about and keep them clean they just dont move,.....
Let's get one thing clear. If any mirror or camera is broken or stops working and you continue driving then YOU ARE BREAKING THE LAW. Further, if this vehicle is a Mercedes who have stupidly replaced a perfectly good mirror with cameras then as part of their dealer agreement you must inform them so they can register the failure in their database as part of their agreement with your company. It's a PG9 and you MUST get it fixed straight away. Try not to be an idiot on the UK roads.
Fist everything was working fine and I was perfectly safe and legal to get on the road, second I got the go ahead from the office and mechanical, thirst but not last if you gonna be a **** and come across like that, I will block you ASAP if this happens again. Breaking the LAW? Sent me a link and I will read it and make sure it doesn’t happen again, as far as I know the cameras where working fine. Nothing wrong with saying your point of view on a nice way instead of been nasty. We really appreciate your comment, but we won’t tolerate this kind of comment. Thank you very much. Have a good day. you do come across a ****, he’s mirrors aren’t working after a delivery, he fixed the problem and then continued driving… and that little comment about driving on him not been fit to drive on the UK roads says allot, it must really upset you he’s not born and bred here
He did not continue driving he fixed them where they failed in the customers yard with the advice from his company on how to try resetting them. Imo all vehicles with camera mirrors should have an emergency one to allow it be driven to a safe place
@@PK73 In the olden days we even used to change our own wheels when we had a puncture. It's how I learned to do it. But nowadays with all the different rules and skills required to fix most modern vehicles and clauses in the insurance policy insist that a competent qualified person only attempt any repair, your liable if you cannot produce evidence that your competent to do the repair because if it fails your the one who goes to jail. The company who explained to the driver how to fix the fault may have broken other rules included in the warranty or maintenance clauses. If the fault happened again after the untrained driver did the repair and caused an accident both Mercedes and his insurers could claim it was outside their warranty and decide to cancel the insurance making both him and his company liable. The only way around this problem is to scrap these cameras and replace them with some high tech mirrors which a driver can easily be fixed at most garages by unqualified people. Electronic devices fitted to vehicles should only be repaired by qualified people and although I could've met this condition as an ex electronics engineer, I know that most drivers are not qualified. Hope this clears up the problems with replacing simple mirrors with hi tech gadgets as a primary safety device the wrong idea.
DAF should have detachable mirrors which you could attach in case of emergency
I must be spoilt because I'd call the office and they'd send someone out to fix my truck 😂
😂😂😂 why didn’t you fix it yourself 😂😂😂
You should put your rachets on the near side incase you need to stop on the road to tighten them up or anything 👍
Never fought of it mate I will do that 🦾🦾
