Once again, well done! Was nice to meet you and Tam just before the award ceremony on the day. I hope you didn't feel too harassed, was just a pleasure to see you IRL after seeing all your great videos for over a year and half!. I too raced it blind and loved it. I wasn't going for any medals, and my fitness (rib inury 3 weeks prior) saw me a bit skittish! That section on Stage 2 at 3:13 in the video was one of the most technical, steep, janky sections I had been on since getting back from Spain in April... It was a fabtastic day and despite finished 219th out of 222 ! I loved it. 😂🤘

@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB I was 2nd last down that stage and happened upon a poor woman who had a pretty bad crash at the 3rd hairpin. I later heard she broke her leg think. I stopped to see if there anything I could do, but no her boyfriend beckened us on knowing the girl who was a Marshall and back sweeper would be along shortly. I think she got airlifted off the hill.

I fell of on the first 4 stages and the last stage 😂 wasn’t a good day for them being my local trails

Thanks! Ah they built stage 3 and 4 just for the race so I’m not sure if they have names on strava. Someone may have named them though!
