It looked like he hit the bump, and went off course, couldn't correct in time, and crashed into the car. Riding one-handed no doubt contributed to the crash. Hey there! It's me in the first clip. True, gravel is very different from the road surface. But in this case the reason was that I was looking at the GPS too much trying to figure out whether I should take this turn or the next one right after. When finally realized it's this turn, I started turning and didn't have enough time to see the sand+gravel mixture there and therefore didn't slow down enough. Use rear brake and only front for Extra stopping power. Wet pavement.. Using the rear brake can also lead to a Slide.. Practice in dirt road or gravel and Lock up the rear a few times.. then add front and control where ya go. You don't need speed. Even on my GL1500 I take it on Gravel to lock them up. Progressive braking. You learned that is the MSF Course. Front brake only to slow down a bit on Dry Clean roads.

Hey there! It's me in the first clip. No, it was for sure not the first ride. I have around 1000 miles done, which is frankly not a lot. I stated riding about 1.5 months ago. In this case the reason was that I was looking at the GPS too much trying to figure out whether I should take this turn or the next one right after. When finally realized it's this turn, I started turning and didn't have enough time to see the sand+gravel mixture there and therefore didn't slow down enough. My mistake 100%, but I am at least grateful that my first crash was a very minor one and didn't cause any further trouble :)
