That is great to hear some say why is that great?because it shows there is hope for this generation...some say how so?because my friends of the LOVE THAT'S IN THE SONG AND LOVE CONQUERS ALL!!!THAT'S WHY!
Fa Sho Bro. I'm glad I was able to enjoy Loose Ends when they first hit the scene with "Hangin On a String." After that, it was hit after hits. 1984 Ft McPherson, GA!
Hello and God Bless. I want to thank victornewman06 for posting this song written by me and Cynthia Biggs. I think Jane, Carl, and Steve did a wonderful job. I was also honored with working with the group when they asked me to write the string arrangement for "For You Can't Stop The Rain", as well as other collaborations. May your road be smooth and easy. Dexter Wansel

Oh my my , I remember having the Zagora album on tape and I must say that this album went 5x platinum no other Black based British group match Loose Ends and also the Queen herself Jane Eugene along with members Carl McIntosh and Steve Nichol.
Loose Ends Carl McIntosh Jane Eugene Steve Nichol "Zagora" captures the British Soul trio at their zenith, a R&B masterpiece birthed in 1986 that sounds fresher than anything being passed off as music now and will be able to listen to for another 30 years and beyond.
This was an all time favorite album - and the best version of this song I've ever heard. All these years later they still sound phenominal. I really miss the 80s & 90s music!
I remember it being a summertime afternoon i was 14 and every car radio was playing this song along with Anita Baker& Sade, this is before hip hop took over the airwaves.
just a perfect album to start a good cookout, flow with a lil wine and drink. then on to the spades and conversation and let the rest fall where it may
OMG, this song is the bomb! It used to make me think of my girlfriend when I heard it. Now, 20 years later, me and my girlfriend / WIFE still listen to it. Thanks. I tied all my Loose Ends with a lovely wife and 4 beautiful children. This IS music.
1986... A blizzard had just crippled most of the East Coast and 8 year old me played my mother Zagora album nonstop in my room when I grew tired of playing out in the snow. Damn life was so simple. Now in 2020 at the age of 42 this is the most strangest year ever! This song took me back to better times!
This is the best song I've ever heard from a European r&b soul group awesome and it's also a song great for you and your special queen to enjoy together and cuddle.
Earl Daniels Yeah, it sure is a wonderful track. But!......The "Best" song from a European r&b soul group? Really!? Where have been for the last 40 years mate?
"I love you so bad it hurts me"! "It hurts so good inside". Ooh! "I love you, so I love you baby yeah!!" Exceptional statements of expression in my view. No doubt the (I love you) lyric, in and of itself, help me, back in the day, to be able to really express it, meaningfully, to myself, and others. It`s just way she sings/says it. Heartfelt❤
OMG! I think I was the ONLY elementary student in the hood who had their record. And I played that thang EVERY SINGLE DAY...OVER AND OVER. Loose Ends is one of my most FAVORITE groups of all time.
When you listened to this song back in 84 when you were 14. Haven't heard this song ever since, but still can sing every single word of it. Loved loved loved this album
i agree, one of the best albums of the decade. so many great songs, uptempo, mellow, slow jams, etc. great vocals and music. definitely LOOSE ENDS at their best!!!
OMG! LOVE THIS SONG!!!! I would play this song over and over. So many good memories with their music as the soundtrack.. So glad to see them in concert in NY 1993. Incredible show!!!!!
Much love to Carl (carlywow) for responding to this post! I purchased 'So Where Are You' from Amazon a few years ago, and was blown away! Most of us American fans had never heard your effort that was not released in the states. 'Magic Touch', 'New Horizon', 'If My Lovin' Makes you Hot', and the title track are some of my 'new' favorites from you guys! I must agree with Jane, though, because you guys actually brought a freshness to 'Sweetest Pain' that Dexter Wansell should be proud of. Peace!
I wish and pray that this music makes a comeback. It's theraputic to the mind and body-makes me feel pretty. Just think about relaxing in a jacuzie with low lighting, not to mention with that other half!!!!!!!!!! I'm having a euphoria just thinking about it.
Zagora was an absolute classic. Slowdown was outstanding as a 12" as well. I remember Robbie Vincent playing "Don't Hold Back Your Love" 12" in March 1983 and us Jazz Funk DJs rushing to Groove Records in London to get the track that day! Great days indeed, capped by superb albums such as "A Little Spice" and "Zagora." Loose Ends took the scene forward without a doubt. The digital downloads sound superb but nothing will compare to the heady days of the vinyls! Thank you for doing what you did.
The only group I know every word to every song! Carl MacIntosh is a genius...Still! And Jayne Eugene was so underrated. She is one of the few singers whose voice is so recognizable. And her spirit is just as sweet! #LoosEnds4Ever
incredible album...was just telling wifey "I need to get some Loose Ends"...she bought me this cd back when we met after I told her I lost mine....not one bad track
Driving in my 69 Bug, my 15 year old girl, just dropped her off and jammin this song. Wow! Now we sit listening to it together and our youngest in college. Love is AWESOME!
I miss this group so much, that is the original members. Carl, Jane and Eugene. I would give anything to see them back together again. This has to be my all time favorite group.
I remember when Soul 2 Soul dropped and telling people, “Before S2S, there was Loose Ends.” IIRC they were the first English act to top the American R&B charts. I love Loose Ends.
"Zagora" is the best album they ever made. This is one of those albums that instantly takes me back to my active Air Force duty days. Back when I was stationed at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. I miss those days!

tune! All loose ends releases have been out of this world,im glad i'm old enough to have appreciated this fine band when they burst onto the scene and they were been played in the clubs in birmingham.great days!
What I really love is when the young generation comes on here and say how much they like this music. Glad you guys appreciate what many of us here grew up on. I went thru relationships listening to Loose Ends music in my mid to late teens..lol.. Loose Ends was at the top of their game with this album. The U.K is full of soul from both black and white artists. If any of you ever get the chance to visit London or Birmingham and check the live music scene, you will see for yourself. Its sick !!!
I been wondering who sung this classic gem👂then I'm listening to 96.3 Howard University radio and BAM! it's been a beautiful day on the East coast sunshine no clouds, not humid. &This song is playing 😀
a true classic!!!!! i have bought this cd, cassette, and Lp 16 times in a twenty year time span! Love every song. Hard to believe that Great R&B can come from over sea's!
Just does not get any better than this. Is it me or has anybody else noticed that todays artist don't consist of male and female singers in one group anymore like the bands of the 70's and 80's, this song is as fresh now as it was when I first heard it in the 80's. I don't see how todays garbage is selling compared to music 20+ years ago. Those old school artist must be saying to themselves,(Damn what went wrong) also check out So Much Love another great song by this great group.
This song IS the bomb! So glad you are happy with your wife and kids, what a blessing is that. I STILL have this ALBUM! LOL LOL I need to go CD! LOL LOL

Loose Ends was way ahead of their time!!!
I so agree they were so very ahead of their time..this was the 1980's ...when this was produced the tacky ass 80's
I think they are from the future sent back in time.
@@mrfunky1768 but it's not original, it is a cover from Dexter.
