    660 has a good capacity of cancelling the noise, the problem seems to me that is mixing some frequencies of the voice and at the end this is not resulting in a good result. Also the speakers of 560 seem better... being lowder does not results in better in my opinion.

    the 560 seem to have a slight advantage to with mic. but i expected it to be better. also all headsets dont seem to do very well eliminating background noise compared to Jabra and Plantronics.

      Thanks for watching Sam! The best way to knock out the noise as much as possible is a headset with a noise canceling mic + AI noise canceling software. ua-cam.com/video/n6l431KSZt0/v-deo.html

    Strangely, the 660 sounded the worst of the group, even though the 360 also doesn't have the mic boom. The mic on the 560 sounds drastically better than the one on the 660, although. The 660 definitely takes the medal for highest noise cancelation with the highest noise situation (blender) though, but its mic is so bad that you sound like you're talking from the orbit of Saturn. It would be interesting if you would include the recent EPOS H3 Hybrid bluetooth gaming headset on this comparison to see how it fares against these both in noise cancelation, comfort and sound quality.

      I am ordering the 560, they have come down now on ebay. I believe 660 had great noise cancel, so great in fact it cancels your voice when talking. I am supporting the 560 in office space and am happy with bios support for the unit.

    • @Le_Sourpuss
      @Le_Sourpuss 2 роки тому +1

      @@ewmegoolies I have the EPOS 660 now. You have 3 levels of noise canceling. On full noise cancel mode, it's true you hear yourself little, but you can switch it to intermedia "A.I." mode where you can hear yourself better, or turn it off and you will be able to hear yourself and the environment around you. But even in full noise canceling mode, you can still hear yourself. It just sounds muffled (you're basically hearing whatever voice sound still manages to travel through your own skull to your inner ears, but the voice sound coming out of the mouth and into the open air where the noise cancelling is acting is greatly reduced, still it's perfectly discernible).

    660 over processes background noise elimination , seems to be the case with all the reviews I've seen, it then struggles to differentiate between voice and background noise.. basically an on off switch. shame as it really does cancel the background noise... when you're not talking !

    I am having a particular problem with 560 II. This headset is causing ear burn and pain when I am using it for hours to attend office meetings. Perhaps, the big, on-the-ear earpads are not meant for long term wear. I never had this problem with DW Office series. Not sure how to solve this ☹😓 Any idea? Conference/Meeting sound quality is excellent though !
    Some other peculiar problems I faced initially: Device wouldn't work without Dongle attached to Laptop (DELL Latitude) or Desktop computer -even though it connected through bluetooth. Using dongle, the voice quality had some issues - my colleagues, who are used to my voice through DW series, would ask if I had a cold. At times it would sound like a metallic voice to them.
    The quality swung a lot over the days, now it has settled down and people are not exactly complaining. Still they rate the DW output over 560 II. The other thing I noticed, using double sided headphone, it is difficult to be aware of the surrounding and specifically, to realize if I am yelling or not - it actually happened a few times. Tried the option from EPOS Connect that allows feedback of your own voice through the headset - thankfully that helped me observe the tone, how loud I am. This, again probably is the challenge from long term use of single sided headset and switching to a double sided one. ANC is very good - teamed up with MS Teams and Teams' option of Noise cancellation, it becomes an excellent option!

    I think the 560 sounds best. The 660 gets kind of "crackly" sounding when you speak with the blender on. I also noticed this on one of your other videos. I have viewed a number of your videos and I appreciate that your reviews are very thorough. I wish you would highlight which headsets work better, or not, with Macs.

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  3 роки тому

      Hi Lisa, there's unfortunately no microphone control on the 660. I would download the Epos Connect app at the link here www.eposaudio.com/en/us/enterprise/software/epos-connect to update the firmware in the headset to see if that helps, and if not it could be a defective headset or the microphone quality isn't up to your needs. In that case I'd advise checking out a different headset with a mic boom like here ua-cam.com/video/WKT_F75TtCc/v-deo.html

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  3 роки тому +1

      We haven't personally tested these headsets on a Mac as of yet, but they should work similar to Windows. Also, the accepting calls feature on a Mac or PC will depend on which softphone you have. Not all softphones are compatible with this feature for a headset, so if that feature is important, let us know which softphone you have and we can verify compatibility.
