    When it comes to learning the basics of a solar power system, there are 3 main components you need to understand! Your Inverter, Battery, and Solar Panels are the fundamentals of a system, however there is also some side parts that your going to want to understand. Those would be things like a Charge controller, bus bar, Array isolator, etc. Don't worry, were here to try and make it as simple as possible!

    Nice video mate, reminder converters step higher AC voltage down to lower DC voltage and inverters do the opposite. Believe I heard you reference them backwards, but otherwise this served as a solid refresher of what goes into a solar system. Considering DIYing my own system at my first house! Take care🤙🏽

    Thank you for your videos. They are very informative. I have a question regarding the Anker Solex 3800. I’m in the process of installing these into my home with the home power panel. I have a 11,000 kW permanently mounted solar array in my yard that I pivot three times a year.Because the system is connected to the grid, it shuts off during a power outage. Is there any way to get that power diverted to charge the Anker system? Or is my only option to buy some portable solar panels during a long-term outage to recharge the batteries in the 3800? Thank you for your answer in advance!

    So how many cables/ outlets can you run of the inverter?,you had 1 there,but if I wanted sockets elsewhere?

    Do we need the bus bar to connect 2 battery in series? So I can use 2 battery set up. The busbar like you have is quite expensive. So I don't know if I should cut cost on that

    Great video! I'm looking to get same rack style battery like the one in the video. My dilemma is, I wasn't sure if I could charge the batteries via 120 volt outlet from the grid as I don't have plans to install any sollar panels. My goal is to just have a backup for outages and recharge with the grid.
    Would it be smart getting the rack style battery as you get more value for money or go with the traditional plug and play like Ecoflow or Anker?
    And when do you plan to review the EG4 batteries?

    So I have a 18KW on demand electric water heater. currently my home is powered by the grid but id like to switch to a hybrid grid/solar system. so in theory I would need a 22kw inverter if everything in my house that uses power was using power?

    Excuse the question, since I'm very new to this and want to learn, I just need confirmation from you that you only have one server rack battery connected, is this correct? Or, are the batteries connect to each other and I am not able to distinguish the connection on your video. Thank you. I just view some of your videos and like how you describe all the other power stations you like and dislikes, so I just subscribe now.

    shouldnt there be a switch between the inverter and the batteries too? because the inverter will run off the battery when its not getting any solar juice???

    yep that is needed because that innovation is only one day old or is it 30 years?
    but sure electricity is there 250 years and still they know nothing only experts know it

    Why would a system without batteries not make sense? That's a bold statement, especially without getting into why you have that opinion. Let's turn it around. Installing batteries only makes sense if you are off-grid or the price you have to pay your electricity company minus the price they pay you for the energy you sell back to them is higher than the price per cycle for your battery. Where I live, utilities are obligated (by law) to pay you back the same price as you pay them, as long as you are not selling more than you are buying. So in my case, it makes absolutely no sense to install a battery. The grid is basically a free battery with endless capacity and 100% efficiency (from my point of view, I obviously know there are losses).

      If you want power when the grid goes down you need batteries. dead simple

      Here in South Africa it won't make sense, at the moment we dont have loadshedding but when we do, our power gets switched off for up to 4hours x2 a day, and at night when there is no sun you'd wish you got batteries

      My son-in-law has an array on his east and his southern exposure of his roof. He still has an electric bill every month plus he pays a bill for the installation and the panels every month and if the power goes off, he still needs candles yet in the end, he’s gonna have bought another house With only the solar panels that are now at 20 years useless😍
