Daniel, keep doing what you’re doing man. I’m sure you’re not doing this for the fame or glory but in about two years I imagine we’ll see a big jump in subscribers. It’s just content that nobody is covering in our world. As far as the PR and PR2s go. I found them extremely light and wasn’t a big fan. The only thing I imagine would make them playable for me would be stick tape. So I’ll have to buy a pair and try that out because I️ didn’t even bothering purchasing them when I️ tried them out in the store. Right now I have my students starting with McNutts because the sticks really help them work less on the rebound and the long bead gives me the best of both world (that hybrid barrel-acorn.)
Hey Mario! Thanks so much for watching! I really appreciate it!!!! Yeah, if you're looking for a more weight, I'd definitely give the PR2s a shot. I'm like you though, and sometimes I feel like I'm searching for a needle in a haystack when it comes to sticks with a little more weight. I've played with the McNutts, but can't recall the weight distribution. I'll have to revisit that...and maybe do a review on it!
Swiss Cheese & Beats I’ll continue to interact with you as much as I can while I can. Ya know, before the channel inevitably blows up. I’ll definitely give those PR2s another look. I️ think I️ grow increasingly frustrated with IP and Promark sticks because they really are inconsistent when shipping out product but when you get that perfect pair.. they take a beating and they last! And I highly recommend the McNutts. The medium taper just works wonders and again those beads but definitely tape those sticks up. I found them to be a bit on the lighter side but Colin knew what he was doing when he designed those sticks.
Hahaha! I like your confidence in the channel my man! Yeah, sticks are such a "feel" thing aren't they? I always find it interesting (and funny) how wind players will ask if we can really tell a difference! YES WE CAN! Haven't had much experience in dealing with Promark, but I have with IP, and they've always been really good about product quality expectations and replacement. It's a nice customer service touch. I'll grab a pair of those CMs for sure. I was just taking a look at their design a few mins ago after your initial comment!
Swiss Cheese & Beats I’m definitely confident in your content man. This channel will blow up, I️ guarantee it. Honestly, I found myself back in this world after college graduation and it’s crazy how much I pay attention to now as an instructor vs. as a student. The feel definitely matters! I do feel bad but right now, I’m on the market for a new stick which my line can adopt which is why I’ve been playing with so many; might be an advantage in the long run. And to me the CM’s are a clear winner for my needs as well as my current line. A close second might be the DC 17s by ProMark but again just out of personal experience, they ship with inconsistent water content so finding a perfect pair is tough. But if you find a good pair those babies have a very nice balance throughout the stick. You know, I didn’t know IP had such great customer service otherwise I would’ve reached out. Always cracking jokes about how they’re “innovative” yet to me they weren’t. BUT! If what you tell me is true, I might go ahead and buy some more IP pairs to see if they can fit my line needs. The McIntosh is a great stick. I love the rebound but it is a super meaty stick so I️ can’t necessarily recommend them for starting hands. Fairbanks are a pair I’ve been wanting to try, so I might see about getting some. Lastly, let’s talk Vater. Are they super underrated or what?! I’m guessing it’s because they don’t have a genius marketing strategy like ProMark and System Blue partnership, suckering us into believing they’re the best. I’ve been using the MV-8s for a few weeks now and damn! If I can’t get my whole line to switch then I’ll be surprised.
Thanks man! Yeah...it's funny how perspective changes when you get to the other side (teacher vs. student). I'd say being familiar with many sticks is definitely a plus! I haven't played with the DC17s, but I remember back in the day (mid 90s) playing with the DC9s (old Phantom Regiment sticks). IP definitely has great customer service in my experience with them! I've had kids stick bags tear (before they did the redesign) and they sent new ones, no questions asked! As far as Vater, I haven't used the MV-8s, but they make some super solid drumset sticks! Love the fusions!!!! Made great and feel awesome in the hands!
+Miguel Valdivia III Great suggestions Miguel! Love the Black Max! Have you checked out my video on the Dynasty Custom Elite Snare? I have a Black Max on that drum with a Falam II on the bottom. And I’ll see if I can get my hands on some Mike Jackson’s for you!
Swiss Cheese & Beats Yes I have, but I was wondering if you could make a separate review of the head because I'm debating on whether to get an Evans hybrid grey or a black max.If you can thank you! If not, thank you still! Oh also trust me when I say you won't be disappointed when you pick up a pair of Mike Jackson's. They feel good! Also I love your channel and your videos! Keep up the good content!
I do have one more question: Where do you order/buy your sticks from that they’re such high quality? I got a whole brick of hollow Casellas which I returned.
Picked up a pair of these a while back and they didn't feel so good. I used a pair in the shop and thought they felt alright, just a bit too light, but I wanted to try something new so I got a pair. As soon as I felt them hit my drum I knew they weren't for me, I mean the rebound was pretty good, but there was no projection, no power behind the stick, the sound was terribly thin. They broke within the week I got them, so I assumed I got a bad pair but I'm sticking to Hardimons for now.
Weapon of choice..., nice, ha ;-)
Thanks Paul! I appreciate you watching!
and the best weapon of choice :)
PAUL LOVE YOUR MARCHING STICKS MAN
I wish these reviews were around when I was a freshmen in high school!
I appreciate that very much! Thanks for watching! I hope you’re enjoying the vids.
You should do a sight reading tutorial video!
This is a great suggestion Paul!

Can you do a Remo max series VS Evans hybrid/System blue head video?
A few people have been asking about this. I’ll see if I can make this happen! Thanks for watching!
Maybe do some 4 mallet six tuplets and some exercises for quads like skipping and stuff
Thanks for chiming in Marco! That's something I can definitely get into down the road.
Can you review the FS-2 and FS-3
+Anthony Sivia Funny you ask!! A friend just gave me a pair of FS-3 two days ago!!! 👍🏽👍🏽 I’ll see about getting to it!
Can you please try and review the Remo blackmax snare head and the Vic firth Mike Jackson's?
+Miguel Valdivia III Great suggestions Miguel! Love the Black Max! Have you checked out my video on the Dynasty Custom Elite Snare? I have a Black Max on that drum with a Falam II on the bottom. And I’ll see if I can get my hands on some Mike Jackson’s for you!

+Miguel Valdivia III Thanks Miguel! I’ll see about grabbing a pair of the Mike Jackson’s ASAP! I appreciate the support!
You should do a drumstick review on some Vic Firth Drumsticks
I do have one more question: Where do you order/buy your sticks from that they’re such high quality? I got a whole brick of hollow Casellas which I returned.
I like this question because I get asked it often. I’ll answer in the Q&A episode!!! 👍🏽👍🏽
Do a review on roger carter sticks
I’ll see if I can get my hands on some for you. Thanks for watching!
No problem man
I just got this pair of sticks!
How do you like the PR & PR2s? What stick do you use? Should I do a review on it??? Leave all of that down below!! Thanks for watching!
Swiss Cheese & Beats do a review on the mike Macintosh’s
The innovative stick? I know they still have the model but his name is no longer on the stick.
Could you do a review on roger carter sticks if it's not too much trouble
Do a review of the promark byos sticks
Man I loved these, mine broke sadly.
I really prefer the pr2’s over the pr1’s
Same. But they do serve different purposes.
Nice vid
+rcgamer c Thanks so much for watching!!
Dope!
+mike gomez Thanks man!!!!
