Thank you for this. I feel this is a very good beginning. Although my mind was wandering I always came back to you, even your pauses felt meaningful. There are things that you spoke of that I have experienced at times so I know it is possible, all I need to do is to remember those experiences and I can easily reconnect with whatever you want to label it as: higher self, source, collective unconscious, unconditional love and compassion. It is all there within us and around us.

Theres a difference between needing to eat and desiring to eat. There’s a difference between desiring a friend’s and needing connection. Theirs a difference between needing to fight/defend and desiring to fight.
One is requirement for survival the other is the brain seeking luxury. We need basic nutrition from good foods but people eat what they desire not what they need.
The world moves to what means or what ends. Do you know where we are going? To me we are going nowhere. Who’s path are we following? Many of us are following to path of desire.
You can stop desires you can’t stop needs. If you have ever been travelling you’ll see the world is a big place and not everyone ‘moves’ like in western culture.

One question on which u might elaborate on: the desire to stop desiring is also a desire - isn't this a trap? Can we be different than we are?

Hmm. The law of attraction community does not talk about desiring things as you say and staying in that state.
Abe hicks, Bashar, and all the rest of the community mostly about having instead of wanting. We however need to acknowledge desire as the first step before the becoming. It’s a necessary step. Not one to be negated so lightly. Eg : From this experience we now know what we don’t want, then on the flip side what we do want. Then become the person that has or is it.

I agree in terms of money, success and material wealth.but i somehow think i “need” friends and a girlfriend to have a fulfilled life. this is also a desire, but how should I be happy without company? I have a lot of friends but I cant see them every day. Is it still possible to be happy?

This is the first time I listen to a coach that is autistic as I am. Do you have problems with immagining your desires as they were just fullfilled? Because, you know, as autistics we can possibly have problems with our imagination. I'm working with it but I still struggle. (Even though I surely improved)

I imagine mostly kinesthetically because visually my mind does what ever it wants. Try to find you best sense to imagine through. They all work even if you don't see it visually.
