I just bought one of these bikes as a project and I’m fixing it up. These videos are some of the best I can find for the Yamaha Virago 750

Any point in greasing the axle? Always seems like it oughta have a little something on it.
    Sooo... does it stop now?

It had some grease already on it. I am planning on changing both front and back tires this week, so I will pack the spline with some marine grade grease :) She stops wonderfully now!

Do you have to change something else for the rear brakes? I know you change the rotors and brake pads on the front one bc the pads wear on the rotor but what does the rear wear on?

The rear brakes (shoes) wear on the hub) I don't think the hub is easily replaceable because the spokes/tines go through the hub. Check out this video for a better visual explanation. Thanks! ua-cam.com/video/5FSCcpam9e0/v-deo.html
