Yup, last June when I recorded this I'd been playing 3 years. I didn't have any experience beforehand, but it was only after a year of playing that I began arranging, which has been my main focus ever since. Thanks for the kind words :)
Thanks for the support! I started when a friend convinced me to buy a bass, and after a few months I got a guitar for my birthday. After doodling on that for a couple of months I got a classical guitar, and have been playing music like that ever since. My entire learning routine consisted of throwing myself at pieces beyond my skill level, until I was good enough to begin arranging and recording my own!
every 3 months or so i go through my lord of the rings period for like 2 weeks where i just quote and listen to the music. I love lord of the rings, and this is just amazing. I have listened to the soundtrack numerous times and it is nice to have something new but familiar. Great job. I love how i can really be focussed in the song but it is not overwhelming
9 months later still impressiv af. learned it - not on tempo, nor without mistakes and far from clean like you r doing it, still proud. damn your good..
I dont think Ill ever understand how you can control so many notes at a time and know what every single finger is playing. Ive been playing guitar for 5 years now but Im not half as good as you are. this is amazing.
if i could play only half as good as you can, i would sit down and play this melody from 1:14 to 1:50 all day long. and i would be the happiest person in the world. great job
Łukasz Kotkowski Not just post editing. They used alot of forced perspectives and camera angle tricks to make alot of the hobbits look smaller as well. Saw an awesome video on it one time.

Me too, and it's astounding how much effort it took to create such a movie masterpiece ;]
Haha I meant that's how long I had been playing the guitar. It took me a month to get this arrangement in the bag, and yes I did find spending so long learning it and arranging it fustrating at times. Thankfully my love for the piece kept me going!
hey, mate... love this version, and wanted to let you know my daughter used it this last weekend at her wedding... we walked down the isle to this under a tree covered by a rainbow... it couldn't have been better. thank you for sharing your gift.
Hey there, 10 years ago you posted this, just letting you know I've been learning this based off of your tabs for the past two months straight. It's totally changed how I play guitar, manage noise, posture and learn to transition. Thank you. Look forward to posting a video reply on this in the coming months. I'll likely be nowhere near where you are in skill but I'll try.
I was looking for this for ages. I am a huge fan of Lord of the Rings, absolutely love it. I play the Lotro game, have posters and I play them on my guitar, this song is one of the last songs i don't know how to play, huge thanks man and really great cover!
Thank you, the file from your "Other Tabs" section contained the tab file. I have Windows 7 and it's text editors would not open the tab file, but Open Office opened it. Thanks for taking the time to help me with this and thanks for a great performance!
Well sir, you have my respect and my axe. Keep doing this it seems you enjoy it . May the stars shine fortune upon you, and may the wind be ever at your back!
I... am your new fan. I've always tried to take music that I like and make it classical guitar but I failed most of the time, but then I saw your website. You've got everything there! Age of Empires, Morrowing, Oblivion, Skyrim, Guild Wars, Naruto, Lord of the Rings...
wow! I'm speechless. Harry you really did an awesome work with the arrangements, and your play is neat and smooth. Thanks for sharing your talent with the world.
Bravo, you are a wonderful guitarist, This song was great when played played on pan flute, but even better on your guitar Harry. Keep playing music like this and explore the depths of what guitar holds for you. Bravo, just, bravo.
That theme..... I feel something real deep in my heart whenever I hear it.... Lotr, best movie ever, and your interpretation was quit good too, chears from morocco!
Don't worry, I haven't quit - things just haven't went how I wanted them to these last few months. I'm ordering new mics as soon as my student loan comes through, and expect to have some videos up by the end of January. Assuming things don't go awry again :P
Dude, you are awesome. Thanks for the tab. I'm huge fan of the forgotten realms/Lotr thing you have going on. It's all really nostalgic. Love the fact that you added the tab. Dude below needs to open the file with notepad.
extremely beautiful and touching melodies of the lord of the rings'm a beginner musician from Brazil and one day I hope to get to a level like this esptacular
Glad you're getting the recognition you deserve Bhael. This is one of the greatest arrangements I have heard, right up there with Kabukibear's Radical dreamers. Keep it up man!
I'm not expert with playing guitars (after all, I cannot really play it at all!), so I'll just tell what I felt listening to you...I saw the Shire in front of me, with all its green hills and little houses...Great work dude! Not only you have to keep this on, you MUST do it! ;) Good luck!
I am speechless dude, what an amazing arrangement, sheer brilliance. I downloaded your tabs and I'm learning it now. Definitely one of my favorites man keep it up.
Thanks! It was very difficult for the first year, as I had no formal training or knowledge of theory when I started, and I made a lot of mistakes. It took another year before I became comfortable at it, and now I can figure most pieces out without much effort :). Learning theory over the last year has helped with everything, as when there is an ambiguous harmony you can guess what the chord 'should' be.
Hey Harry, really great arrangement, and thanks for the tab. I agree with the others - it would be super with a detailed tutorial lesson. Especially one with focus on the syncopated bass line - for me that's the most difficult part to get down!
All my recordings are arranged by myself. It's my pleasure to make tabs for them so that other people can play my renditions :)
Perfect! You really speak your guitar like a native language. I love it.
Thank you Kai!
Once again Harry, You're Amazing!
Now lets see you do it :)
Hearing this while traveling alone through Newzealand with all my stuff on my back.
This is life
When I listen to this melody of LotR, I feel like I’m suddenly somewhere else that I just feel alright. Amazing interpretation. 🍃

I don't see the TAB:( help..
After all these years, and this is still the best version on YT, cheers man hope you're doing well.
This song is so beautiful. It makes me imagine a future where I'm a dad with a family and a wife who loves me, similar to Sam Gamgee.
lol...this is 2016....I hope that imagination came through
no I'm 22, and I don't want that even though I imagined that.
Lol that is kind of sad though.

I MISS MY MASTER BURGLAR. *CRIES MAJESTICALLY BECAUSE THIS IS BEAUTIFUL*
Do you wear gloves a lot?
The thing is, when you talk about music, the key is constance. If you are constant and perseverant, you'll be a good musician.
Hello, have the score to give me? Please. I am brazilian. Thanks.

Tu ressembles beaucoup à Athelstan dans Vikings :)
Gently playing the guitar, amazing and beautiful!
This is absolutely amazing. By and away one of the best renditions I've seen not involving a whistle or an entire orchestra. You have talent.
Why I’m start to crying every time I hear it
