It's definitely NOT illegal. Sounds illegal, but it's not haha
It's just two people exchanging money at a different rate than the official... there's no law against that, ergo, not illegal. Western Union exchanges at the blue dollar rate, I recommend that 👍
I lived in Buenos Aires Argentina for nearly 10 years. I first went to Buenos Aires Argentina in 2005 and it was 3.7 pesos to a dollar. A lot of business get paid in pesos so they take those pesos and buy dollars. Also you can spent money to yourself thru Western Union and you will even get a better than the blue rate for example today you can send 1000 US dollars from a Western Union office in the United States pay a 8.00 dollars fee and receive 309,000 Argentina pesos when you arrive in Argentina. Pay for everything in pesos in Argentina if you can the fees that the banks charge are very high and never use the ATM'S in Argentina.
I am argentinian. Look if you are a visitor, come with enough money in Cash, change it for argentinian pesos in the black market, make sure to keep them safe for robbers and that's all
this only applies to US dollar? can it apply to Canadian dollar?
can i ask if you know of course how much you pay for 1$ if you buy somthing online , like buying from aliexpress: do you pay at offical rate or black market rate
The problem is, most other countries will NOT carry ARS pesos because its literally worthless outside of Argentina.
Do you have any new videos on the blue dollar blue updates for tourist
I remember living thru 300 percent inflation in the Philippines back in 1980s where in 1983 it was 1 USD to 7 pesos, then after several months, it was 1 to 10 pesos, by 1984 end, it was 1 USD to 20 php. My dad had to go to black market currency exchanges with the
Thank You, very useful info 👍
So if I have an international credit card and a vendor pulls out their "tourist terminal" with the price set in USD... What should I say? Give me the Argentinian terminal? Will they say they can't because I'm not using an Argentinian card? Can I insist on it and it will work anyway?
Hello SBA. Thanks for your video. Is it easy to exchange Canadian $ ? Can I get a good rate, like the US $ ?
Hello my friend. I enjoyed the video very much. Thank you for that. What If I bring British Pound with me, can I exchange it for pesos easly? Is there BLUE exchange rate for Pound? Can you give me any adress in buenos aires for exchanging Blue pound for pesos. If you can answer this question, I will be greatfull.
I'm going to BA in March 2023 from the USA. Would it be best to bring US dollars and exchange when i get there or get AR pesos at a bank here? Also do you need to exchange or do business like to be pain in USD? Thank you!
Send yourself money through western union to get the best exchange rate, set it up with your bank.
They have the same system in Cuba. The government must be absolutely idiotic.
Uh Argentina conozco ese lugar 😂😂.. greetings from mar del plata Argentina 🇦🇷🇦🇷😁
😊😊
Can you get Dollar Blue through Western Union?.
Yes
Do these blue dollar guys take crypto for pesos yet? It would be best scenario. Banks are so stupid.
You're better off converting your crypto to USD, and exchanging USD to Argentinean Pesos (blue dolar).
There are some great threads on Reddit about this topic. Good luck!
do most places accept dollars or still have to flip to pesos? if they were smart they would take usdt or other stable coins for pesos... @@DJSt3rling

My head is still shaking five minutes after watching this video. I am glad I watched this video but need to check out any recent changes to this crazy, quasi-legal exchange rate process before I visit in 10 weeks.
Спасибо за видео. Ждём встречи в телеграм чате Русские в Аргентине
Visa pays the blue dollar rate. Mastercard doesn't. We're almost finished with my two-week holiday in Argentina: BA, Ushuaia, El Calafate, and back to BA. We were informed by our tour guide for the Recoleta Cemetary that Visa pays the blue dollar rate. We had to pay by card to enter the Recoleta Cemetary as they don't accept cash. I used my Visa card and discovered that I was only charged GBP 4.74 entrance fee to the Recoleta Cemetery. I then started to use my Visa card and discovered that I was getting an exchange rate of AR$340 to 1 US$. Which is not too different from the current blue rate of AR$380 to 1 US$. We found lots of vegan restaurants and most other restaurants have at least a vegetarian option. We did not starve during our Argentine holiday!
340 is actually quite a bit different than 380... It adds up. I guess Visa is not really doing the MEP "blue" rate after all?
He looks german idk y ._.
😂😂😢 I don't understand anything you said
he speaks very good english!
