    Real fine video, going through the settings and processes over your test bed. YOU REALLY made it worthwhile to watch the whole thing. Been eyeing this detector for a while. My F75 Ltd se2 will arrive in a few days. 30 years detecting and I had to add this one to my arsenal. I always go over productive sites with 2 or 3 land units, V3i, ATP, Sov GT and now this F75 beast will replace my Racer that didn't have punch in MY soil.
    Thanks, I enjoy you vids.

    Awesome video! I just found a great deal on a F75 LTD Camo edition. Only difference is that the newer LTD's are DST and Fe upgraded. I dont hunt in places with heavy EMI's since I mostly go in the woods. So thanks for sharing this video. Very informative.

    Thanks for the video. My house is 1895 but the yard is absolutely filthy with nails from the 3 add-ons. Also been landscaped so most good stuff is going to be awfully deep. Newbie detectorist last year and my first detector was a Tejon. Maybe good in it's element but just too filthy to get that thing to work right here. Yard looked like a war zone and nothing but a couple clads and a pickle jar half full of nails to show for it. Got an F-2 and picked up a couple more clads but at least it eliminated many of the nails. Now got the F-75 with the upgrades and trying to learn it. Watched your video and just ran outside in the dark to try those iron settings you discussed. Had to turn the sensitivity down to 50 because of heat pump so used BP like you mentioned, 1n tone and no disc. About a minute of hunting and first good signal was a 1945 wheatie at 7". THANKS GUY!

    I’ve got the F75 SE LTD also... If you didn’t know the boost mode and cache mode transfers over to all metal mode and enhances its performance. It’s says so in the users manual and I asked Kelly Co. You don’t need to swing slow in boost mode using all metal mode but you do need to sweep slow using cache mode and when you’re using that setting while in all metal mode. Just set discrimination mode side first then switch over to all metal mode and it almost doubles all metal mode performance. Other settings like default or fast mode or jewelry doesn’t transfer over to enhance all metal mode. This information is on page 22 and 23 of the users manual. As you start to read each discrimination mode. You’ll noticed boost process cache locating process at the bottom of the paragraph says... when the boost mode is selected the response characteristics of the all metal mode are also modified (meaning boosted or enhanced) these characters include less noise and slow response speed. Because now its searching ultra deep and so it responds a little slow. You don’t need to sweep slow in boost mode but you do when you use cache mode. Regardless if you are using them on discrimination side and/or on all metal mode. If you select one of these options and go back to all metal mode they are enhanced if you use any other setting like default or bottlecap or jewelry then it goes back to lower performance or default.
    Also if you haven’t upgraded to larger 15” inch fisher coil you should. I purchased the larger 15” inch fisher coil for my F75 LTD SE and I can hit quarters over 20” inches deep! Man hole cover or 55 gallon drum jumps from 2 meters on or 6 feet on stock 11” inch coil... However the larger 15” inch fisher coil will hit same amount of metal over three meters or 10 feet deep! So if you haven’t then you should upgrade the coil.

    I'm one of those 30year guys and must say I have migrated from Garrett's from way back to Fisher ever since I got a impulse for the water many years ago, got a 3D and it did wonders on the bronze coins over here in Japan. Just got a 75 LTD and was able to hit a couple of sites before it turned too hot over here. I hunt the winter here because of the hot humid summer weather and being in the jungle area most of the time to hunt. Hit a couple of my old sites that I had pounded before with the Garrett's and 3D and was able to come up with some more finds. The best is a real small flake bronze coin that I like to find that are super small and hard to find. The 75 Pulled them right out of my old areas. It was great" Look forward to hitting some other old sites this winter.
    Thanks for the video and look forward to more. and thank for using the nickel in your test, a lot of bronze fall in that area of the scale.

    Excellent video. I enjoy watching all of your reviews. I just got one of these, and have found it to be super deep. I won't be looking for a deeper machine anymore. I believe the F75 LTD-DST will find anything just as deep as I care to dig, and even deeper. I've only done testing in my test bed so far. The weather here won't cooperate for any hunt time. Can't wait till spring gets here now. The deepest coin in my bed is a Clad Quarter at 11 inches. The F75LTD-DST will hit it reliably in default mode with sensitivity at 75, and begins to hit it at 67. I'm also finding that it IDs the 11 inch quarter right in the quarter area, only occasionally jumping over to dime. And it's light weight and balance make it easy on my old worn out shoulders. Obviously I'm super satisfied with that. Thanks for the honest review, leading me to this super machine.

      The standarg F75 is awesome. I had one and noticed on the older ones, if you turned the disc down below 5, the machine would get way deeper. Im not sure if that's still the case, but it's worth a look. You just can't be around alot of EMI to use it this way. Also wanted to let you know all metals mode is a beast. I started using it in parks, and found all kinds od deep coins and rings I'd walked over with other machines. If the trash density isn't to high, this is the ticket! Good luck with your detecting.

    I've had my F75 LTD for years now...been detecting on and off. For the first time (yes I read the manual :) I understand what everything does and where one might want to use it, thank you for taking the time out to do this. I must just find what works for me and our heavy mineralized soil here in South-Africa... which by the way the F75 also kinda laughs at. My first one was Ace250 I still own... then wanted to buy a "better machine" money wise I opted for the fordable F75 LE... so glad I did. I havent used any others machines to compare but I love these two.

      I have the Ace 250 and right now looking to get either the Fisher F75. XP Deus or Equinox 800. I don't know which one i want exactly. But the XP Deus and Minelab Equinox 800 both have high frequencies where you can find small gold nuggets/flakes or stay around 20khz for bigger nuggets. Can change the frequency on these 2. The Whites F75 is at 13khz only. But its a bit cheaper and goes very deep.

If I send you a whole bunch of newer Canadian coins, would you like to take a shot at detecting them and providing some insight? Apparently hard to detect as they are clad and can be confusing. I have a new F75+ in transit.

    • @Detectorman52
      @Detectorman52 3 роки тому

      Some of our canadian coins are made out of iron. Another canadian guy told me that there is a way to tell the good iron from the junk iron. I always use the all metal setting, this guy told me if you get a low iron tone on the f75 all you have to do is raise the search coil off the ground a little,, & if you get a bit of a higher tone then it might be a iron coin. If you hear a high tone in the ground it might be a iron coin that is deep but as you get closer to it with your coil as you dig,, the tone will sound off like a low iron tone. I don t know if this will work on the newer f75 detector but you can check it out on your machine. I am going to buy one of theses f75 newer detector as soon as i save up the money that i have found in the ground with my older minelab machine. That is just a tip that i thought you might want to know good luck on your hunting.

      My best suggestion is to run it with the sensitivity lower at first so it's really running stable. These machines are deep, even at low settings. Dig lots of targets at first to get an idea of the responses you get between trash and good stuff. Once you start getting some confidence with your machine you can crank it up. If you get frustrated with trash turn the disc up or notch out some stuff, so you can have some fun with it. You can go back later an investigate targets you passed up as you gain experience with the machine. Happy Hunting:)

    Just leaned the Boost mode and cache mode transfers over to motion all metal mode settings. Those are the only two settings that enhance motion all metal modes from discrimination side. I thought each side was independent and didn’t interact with each other but the last two modes do effect motion all metal mode. It boosts the all metal search but you must slow down sweep speed just as using cache mode in discrimination.. So leave it in Boost mode in discrimination mode settings when using all metal mode to get best performance.

      Very interesting! Been hunting with the F75 Ltd for 6 yrs now, and I'm still learning new tweeks that push the f75 to new levels! Its a beast on CW Relics here in the South. My 14yr old Son and I Hunted a well pounded confederate camp today. The old timers had cherry picked this camp years before I ever hit it. When you hear Relic hunters say, a place is never hunted out. Its true, I have pulled several Large Cents, 1812 Riflemans Button, Hundreds of Enfield and Gardner Bullets, And one of the Finest South Carolina Local Button, with a Rare Charleston Backmark. 80% gold gilt remaining. Hunted that site with Tejon, several different Minelabs, The F75 just smoked everything I've evet tried! If you can Learn her language, and believe what she is telling you, You will find so much more. I still question her sometimes.
      And Usaully end up digging junk.

      BigD did yea she’s a beast for sure. Did you upgrade to the big 15” coil yet? I just seen off brand makes a 17” coil for the F75. If you think you getting it all wait till you upgrade the coil. Plus I’ve been looking at getting a PI detector. So the boost mode and cache mode transfers over to all metal mode and enhances its performance. It’s says so in the users manual and I asked Kelly Co. You don’t need to swing slow in boost mode using all metal mode but you do need to sweep slow using cache mode when you’re in all metal mode. Just set discrimination mode side first then switch over to all metal mode and it almost doubles all metal mode performance. Air test and verify for yourself.
Man hole cover or 55 gallon drum amount of metal is 2 meters or 6 feet on stock 11” inch coil... However the larger 15” inch fisher coil will hit same amount of metal over three meters or 10 feet deep! So if you haven’t then you should upgrade the coil. Always run max sensitivity because you loose depth. Verify by lowering it to zero as you scan and it almost needs to touch the coil to make noise.

      @@88997799 thanks for that info. I actually do have the big 15" fisher coil. I've really never used in the field, I've played with it in my test garden a couple times, to see if there's improvement in depth compared to the 11" stock coil. I can hit a silver half dollar at 15" with stock coil in most settings, the f75 still impresses me every time I use it, I've learned in my test garden, that you don't have to crank sensitivity all the way up to hit targets in boost, I can get a good signal in the teens, on silver at 8"-10"+ depending on target size.
      But you got my curiosity up on the 15" coil and all metal/boost! Ill be hitting the test garden as soon as I can to try out the 15" coil.
      This is great! I have some beat up sites that I want to run the new set up over, to see what got left behind from years of me and other detectorist pounding the sites!
      Thanks again for the info!
      I've seriously been thinking about giving the Deaus a try, but I'm still impressed by the f75, and find it hard to believe there's anything out there than is as good or better than this machine, especially with someone that has experience using this machine. I've been using the F75 Ltd Se going on 6-7 yrs now. And I'm still learning!

    This ltd looks like the same detector as the f75 plus, i am thinking if both detectors get the same adjustments & same depth its cheaper to buy the f75 plus,, & i would forget about getting the package deal on the ltd which cost more money,, & i got all that extra stuff a long time ago.

    Do you think it's a good piece for someone new to detecting?

    • @CarolinaCoinHunter

      It's really not an extremely complicated machine, but at the same time it is a high end machine price wise.

    I came across a person selling a used at 75 and he is not sure if it has the digital shield technology. Do you know how I can tell the difference between a newer version and the older version?

      The newer version has FA mode. The older one without DST does not

    if I have an f2, and I buy this machine......would it be smart to go back over old hunting spots with it? seems deep from the reviews

    • @CarolinaCoinHunter
      @CarolinaCoinHunter  7 років тому

      Jerry Scary Yes, I would do that for sure. The F75 is deeper, and being a higher frequency than the. F2 could also make a difference in your finds. Good luck with your detecting!

      I never did much with it on the wet sand. Dry , It did well. If I recall , I was told manually GB at 15 or so. This is supposed to help cancel out the salt signal, and disc up to foil. You'll have to play around with that and see.

    • @CarolinaCoinHunter

      I think that in an urban environment you gain more in usability than you would ever lose in depth. In the middle of nowhere you might gain a negligible amount

    How would you rate the Target ID compared to the and Etrac? I am very spoiled with those machines. Was super disappointed with the deus for the horrible target ID past 4 or 5 inches.. At pro was better than the Deus but still not great compared to the etrac. thanks for the Videos

    • @CarolinaCoinHunter
      @CarolinaCoinHunter  8 років тому

      +Metal Jackalope The F75's Target ID is pretty bouncy as well, no where near as reliable as the e-trac, but the recovery speed and depth are very good. It's a good machine, great for trashy spots. I mostly go by the tones, as it seems they are a bit more stable than the TID. The ID isn't terrible, but it will jump around a bit. GL & HH!

      I know I am spoiled after running the Minelabs. So many folks talk about how they dig everything that comes up not iron but being able to accurately id Twist caps from bear bottle make the ETRAC so valuable to me park hunting. That being said I think I might get a f75.. My biggest problem with the Dues was that after 4 or 5 inches it read high on mostly everything. Wasn't even that bouncy. I was digging pulltabs ringing in solid as a quarter.. Oh well thanks for the review.. :)

    Can you do a test with more gold, silver and other high value relics, the numbers seemed low. I am new and need help.

    • @CarolinaCoinHunter
      @CarolinaCoinHunter  8 років тому

      +VulcanBikeWizard Gold numbers are going to be all over the place on the lower end of the ID scale. It varies with the size and composition. There is really no easy way to find gold, you really have to dig almost everything.If you get the same trash over and over at a certain ID number, like a pull tab,you may be able to start skipping over that particular ID. Silver is much easier, as it come in near the top of the scale mostly in the dime- quarter region for decent sized rings and coins.

    having the cable loose like you have so close to coil will result in false signals

    • @CarolinaCoinHunter
      @CarolinaCoinHunter  8 років тому +3

      In haven't had any problems with that, but I have seen many cable's fail from being wrapped snug. The coil folding up without any slack can be problematic.

    • @CarolinaCoinHunter
      @CarolinaCoinHunter  4 роки тому

      Most of the time. Silver should ring up high. Gold can ring up anywhere depending on size but usually a middle tone for rings. Best way to figure it out is to test some items you already have around, and you should get a pretty good idea.
