Guys, on the part of Mirio and Deku letting Eri go, it wasn’t that they could be wrong about the situation, both Deku and Mirio knew there was something wrong and it wasn’t just a dad and daughter fight. The problem was that Overhaul had already warned them about Chisaki, and Mirio knew from experience how dangerous it could be to just fight there, which was the right call at the moment.
Overhaul's quirk is pretty insane if u guys think about it, pretty much similar to shigaraki's in terms of destroying things lol, yet Overhaul's quirk is stronger than shigaraki's, in my opinion.

It's just the things he can touch directly, which is lesser than decay in some ways. They each have strengths and weaknesses. Decay can wipe a city off the map by touching the town square, he can't erase a town from the map with overhaul.

To be honest i dont want a 14 and 16 year old at my job randomly cause there are a lot of dangers to take seriously. Rock Lock and co. are trying to perform a life saving rescue operation where they also want to capture an elusive Yakuza leader without having casualties. I definitely wouldnt want kids on an operation like that. The plot requires them be there but the UA kids being on this mission is inappropriate for their skill level, at least the first years.
You guys have to eventually watch Kids on the Slope for a jazz music anime... with Aizawa's voice actor playing a part in it that would make Carlie swoon (and Ange too, most likely).

While I know the kids are the focus of the show, I can't really fault the adults for being put off from seeing them in a special secret operation planning meeting. It's nice to see them all grow and improve, but in any other situation, this would be really weird. All we can do now though is get on with the mission!
Everytime i see this arc (especially this episode) getting reacted to, or if i get reminded of it, how dark and gruesome it actually is kinda sneaks up on me. Cause the implication is that Chisaki isn't just taking blood and skin samples from Eri, but actually using his quirk to take her apart, get what he needs and then put her back together. To do that to anyone, let alone a little girl like Eri is repugnant.
Part of what makes Overhaul such a horrifying villain is that he's abusing a little girl, and for a show that features characters who have superpowers and a literal mouse man is the school principal, child abuse is a very real and traumatic thing that really does happen. It's like how Umbridge in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is considered one of the worst and most unlikable villains in that series, because we can immediately relate to that. We don't have evil wizards in our day to day lives, but we have seen teachers/authority figures who abuse their power and take joy in that. Overhaul is similar; we may not have superpowered Yakuza members running around, but we do have child abusers.
Yeah, this whole arc is dark and hits really hard. They put in the the effort to make it a heavy topic and how it genuinely affects the heroes, especially Mirio and Deku.
This is one of the best arcs of the story imo. This is the first villain that you just REALLY want to see beat down!! I’ve read the whole manga and you don’t really get that same feeling from any of the other villains. Like you still want them to lose & justice to be served & whatever..but u don’t get that “this dude is evil & needs to be stopped!” feeling like you do with overhaul! I mean u do get that feeling for shiggy too but in a totally different way!

Overhaul is my favorite MHA villain. Love his quirk and his goal to get rid of quirks, it's really unique in the mha universe.
