Today we share our experience with Michter's while on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. We were able to go to Fort Nelson as well as their Shively Distillery and see the actual production facility. A huge thank you to Kyle from Michter's for hosting us and sharing a tasting of Michter's 20yr, Michter's 25yr, and Micter's Celebration with us. I WAS BLOWN AWAY!

Great video David and Jamie. It was a pleasure meeting you all and I really enjoyed showing you guys around the Shively Plant. Whiskey Row channel is giving fantastic exposure to Kentucky and all of the great Bourbon Distilleries we have.

Ok. Heads up. If anyone thinks they are going to hit the bar upstairs at Ft Nelson and try the Celebration Sour Mash, get ready for sticker shock. A POUR of the Celebration Sour Mash is 1200.00. Yup, not a bottle, not a flight, but a single pour. Michter’s has never left a bad taste in my mouth… until now.

Super cool video and learned something about the barrel proof entry points.
I loved the bar at fort nelson when we visited.
Two thumbs up. I have to do this some day. But in the mean time, had a tremendous rye tasting over Christmas with both the Michter's barrel proof and 10 year ryes along with 21 other ryes. But the highlight of the night was the lone bourbon, Michter's 20 year. Absolutely amazing and I even got a second pour to take outside with a cigar. That was the second time I got to taste Michter's 20 year bourbon and they were both memorable experiences. The really cool part is these where with friends who have been in the whiskey business for decades and have met all the greats like Dick Stoll who was the last master distiller at the original PA Michter's distillery. Truly a Whiskey Master Class.

Heading to Louisville on Thursday to tour some distilleries and can’t wait! I won a bottle of Old Forester President’s choice and I will pick that up. Unfortunately OF was booked so can’t tour it. Looks like an amazing time.
Awesome man, I envy you in a good way. Michter's is my favorite bourbon brand, I have bought and tried the entry level stuff, the bourbon, rye and American whisky but I have not had the pleasure to buy their toasted or cask strength and not to mention their 10 year and 20 year iteration but it is definitely something in my bucket list. Nice tour and video Thanks for sharing your experience.

Nice! I'm doing research on tours on Whiskey Row and see that Michter's is the only one that requires you show your vaccine card to enter - that still true?
I don't know if they are the only one, but their vaccine requirement is right on the Ft Nelson page of their website.
What he wants to know is are you vaccinated?
I saw that on the website but only distillery that required it. No others did - asking for a friend.
