Awesome! Thanks for sharing! We do have an 8 way wedge now, working on a 10 way next. We are also working on our biggest splitter ever right now that will weigh in at about 3000# when completed.
Just washed our Wolfe Ridge 28 Pro yesterday and wiped it down with Fluid Film!! Looks like a brand new unit, I love it, best splitter ever, looking into the 6-way wedge pretty soon.
@@WorldsOkayestFarmer got it in late spring/early summer. It was extremely hot this summer so I split all I could without getting g to hot. I have 15 hours on it so far and it is a beast. A few guys came over from Illinois to watch me run it and Chris told me the other day that they ordered one up. The white looks great on your machine, I like the red, but wish I would have got creative with the color nowadays.
@@WorldsOkayestFarmer actually I was at that Paul Bunyan show on Friday! Can't say I've ever seen another commercial splitter white. My splitter resembles it. But I made mine 4 years ago and used a year and a half to design it. Looks like a great machine. I don't see there being a huge problem with having it split 6 way unless there is no backing for the secondary wedge. What it will allow is to not jam the wood in between the wedges. Unless you have some weird piece of wood that pushes it off the top which I would think would be somewhat unusual if the bottom one is pinned.
Graham Schuld oh nice yeah I haven’t seen a white one either. Red is their standard. But hey it’s just a look. The 4 and the 6 way pin on. When I stacked them nothing was holding the top wedge down but still split 8 ok.
Seems like a very well built splitter. I looked into them after seeing one on OWTM, but found out I could buy an entry level firewood processor for a few hundred dollars more. I am leaning towards the processor simply because it will save a lot of bending over on my poor back! lol By the way, the white looks awesome!!
Thank you so much for posting this video. Just got off the phone with Dana Wolf ( I think that’s right) and can’t wait to get one of these. Thanks again
All good but some toys like you have could help it , when I was younger I blew it out , had 4 surgery’s but I hear my house with wood have two wood stoves and outdoor central broiler 👍🏻
Woods Tree Farm thank you! I can’t remember what the the cycle time is 8 seconds I think. There was one option I didn’t get with an oversized cyl and pressure relief valve that makes it cycle in like 6 seconds. But it was a $800 option offered at $500 I just didn’t feel I needed.
Nice review. Next time, line your trailer up with the splitter. As you put a round in and pull the lever, walk to the end of the splitter and put the splits into the trailer. Less handling and no bending.
I started my firewood business when I was 14 and even now at 45 its never stopped amazing me how much people like to handle their firewood. I don't let my wood fall on the ground because I don't want to bend over and have to pick it back up. It seemed obvious to me even at 14, but I've seen people let the wood actually fall and hit the engine repeatedly on those horizontal/vertical type splitters. They told me it was designed wrong, couldn't help it, splitter was junk. It never occurred to these people you could just hang on to it and throw it into a truck, trailer, even just a pile. Nope bonk hit the engine dent the recoil, splitter hard to start now, bad design, junk. lol
Nice splitter. Did that for a lot of years with no lift. Having that lift and out feed table is really the only way to go. I hope you get many years of splitting out of it.

Where I have a overhead hoist so I can stack bends of wood. Nice machine. I love using bends or should I say steel basket to stack my wood in their only 3 foot deep but I made a jig too lift them from one side so I can dump them on a table on my back porch , split wood in the bend ,tow the bend under my car port , use electric lift hoist to stack bends ,use electric hoist to lift bends to porch height, hook bends on loading table an use hoist to tip over bends on to table at waist height. The whole family can get fire wood even grand mother. An I try an keep at least 4 bends of wood ready.
