Nice engine. One reccomendation however is that you mount your prop so that one of the blades is about 2 o’clock when hitting compression. This’ll avoid getting your hand it if it backfires or just starts because your hand gets out of the way so much faster.

I didn't catch it if you mentioned, but what size prop are you running?
The prop used in this video is a 9x6. This is an easy running and starting engine. It has countless hours on it and still runs like a top.
