Hi Michael off to work and it’s dark yuk. I was talking to Andy and now that the nights are drawing in we will start fishing some nights hoping for an elusive cod. Some of the problems for all the rods on the beach were it was flat calm and got really bright with the sun but as we all know fishing is a fickle sport. But I always console myself with the next trip and am going back there as I know there are fish there. Am away for a week with the family and will be down there on the weekend that I return. Thanks for watching and the nice comments are much appreciated cheers Paul 👍👍🐠🐠🐠
@@SeaFishingWithPaul we used to look at the tide table when it was rising ie 5.5mtrs 5.7mtrs 6.1mtrs we found we caught more than when its receding. Also when flat calm a 3 hook flapper rig with size 2 hooks. A big fish will take a small bait. We also cut ox liver into strips as we couldnt afford expensive lug worm in those days whiting go mad for it. Muscle was a successful bait for us but you need to sprinkle salt on them to make them stiffer. I make myself sound ancient im 64.good luck. Enjoy your holiday. 👍
@@michaelsellers9123 Hi Michael you are not ancient as we are same age lol I am 65 in November and where have all the years gone. Great video Paul, and glad you’re keeping your chin up. I went 4 times in august and caught nothing. Lost a bit of hope, but went at the end of September and caught plenty down in shoreham. Then west bay Saturday and caught a couple, and now going Shoreham again Sunday and can’t wait! I’m hooked again!
Hi Karl it is ruddy frustrating that we get all excited with the anticipation, getting perfect bait, planning tactics, arrive at venue no wind, sea calm and start to imagine pulling the fish out then slowly the day goes by.
