Well fished lads, another great Video Roy. Used to be my neck of the woods, used to live in Kelsey/Iwade mate, now in Eastbourne. We will have to get a trip or two arranged both at your end and my end to target some decent fish, especially in the summer the hounds run well here. Wanna get some decent videos done myself. Keep shooting those vids and catching those fish mate. Take care and stay safe 👍
Matthew Gifford cheers Matt, yes I’ll definitely be up for that we missed the tope down your way last year so hoping to get back down there this year. Let me know when your ready
You’re definitely on the right road. I appreciate that quality filming, whilst actually fishing... and especially off of a boat/kayak isn’t easy. PS. Your channel popped up in the ‘related vids’ and immediately caught my attention. The first minute was enough to see me hit subscribe. That drone low-level flyaway done it. Get it upfront in a short 15-20 second intro and you’re onto a winner.
@@theunknownfishermanuk8060 - your vids look really well made mate, good to watch. I’ll have a fish with you in the future no problem. Wouldn’t mind getting in the docks when you fish for the Bass one time.
@@theunknownfishermanuk8060 Thornback rays winter mackerel are still coming in whiting pollock I fish the Tamar for the ray only been fishing for a year on kayak different sort of fishing but great fun if you get it right
Nice video there mate. I’ve been thinking about getting a kayak myself for a while, what make is yours and is there any cons with that one? Also have you got any vids of launching it from the shore? I assume a pair of wellies is good enough, I wondered how stable it is when getting in particularly when wearing a lot of clothes?
Hi Mate I love taking mine out I highly recommend getting one just be careful as the sea can be a dangerous place. Mine is a big game 2 it’s very stable and has nice comfy seat. In the winter we wear dry suits to keep warm so kayaking shoes are ok but I wear thermal boots to keep my feet warm. Unfortunately I haven’t got any videos of launching I will try and do one next time I’m out Roy
Hello. What size anchor did you use. I'm looking to use a 9ft rib to fish from. I have a 1.5 lb grappling anchor with chain would that be adequate to hold Bottom.
Hey nice video mate. I also have kayak you can check my channel. I have just fished Barton’s point recently from the shore next to the slipway. I’m wondering how do you time the current movement and direction once fishing the swell. What time of window you plan so you can use the tide in your favour to fish it and not needing to paddle against tide. Also what is the launching point you have used as I saw it is near the bridge wanted to be more specific If possible. Any advice will be great and if you want to meet up kayaking there just let me know David
Hi Mate Thanks for the comment, the tide at the bridge is hard to get right we was lucky that day as it was a small tide it runs in both directions. When the tide starts flooding it starts running towards leysdown and after about an hour or so it starts running towards sheerness. I’m not sure why this is. As for launching we launch on the island side by you need permission from the land owner as there is a locked gate. I would definitely be up for meeting up and taking the kayaks out some time 👍
@@theunknownfishermanuk8060 thanks mate. Did you ever launch by the slipway near Barton? Check my latest beach fishing from there you’ll probably see what I mean. It seems easy launching but again from there where to paddle and to fish I’m not sure either left towards leysdown or left towards sheerness

Hi I had to upgrade my 1.5kg to a 2.5kg and a 3m small link chain as the tide is strong in the most places that we fish
