@@BigMamaSSB Eventually dtilt knockback will be too much for another loop. Fortunately, they're usually kill % with a true fair follow up by then though if you were able to carry them to the edge of the stage.
This is more complex than you may think 😅. There are many different applications of M2's nair and depending on which we're talking about my advice would differ. Assuming we're talking about the basic nair combos (like short hop rising nair into dash attack or grab, see 00:16): At low to low mid percents you don't need to predict anything. If you time your fast fall correctly, you should have enough frame advantage to confirm nair into various moves completely on reaction (regardless which side they end up on). If you're not consistent with fast falling nair, then you should definitely practice that. Also when nairing your opponent you want to make sure to stop your horizontal movement so as to be able to respond to either side equally. That may take some practice too. If we're talking about aerial nair combos (like full hop rising nair into double jump up air, see 00:02): In this case you may need some prediction. So the direction M2's nair sends depends on the opponent's DI as well as M2's horizontal movement. You cannot influence your opponent's DI. However you can influence M2's horizontal movement. So if you want your opponent to be sent in front of you, you should hold back on the directional stick while nairing them. However if you were to hold back all the way through and your opponent gets sent in front of you, you wouldn't be able to combo anything out of the nair, as you'd be too far away to connect anything. Therefore the correct way to do it is to hold back initially and then switch to holding forward shortly before the last hit of nair, so as to be close enough to your opponent to connect a follow up attack. However this is not 100% consistent therefore you should be ready to react to the situation accordingly, should your opponent get sent the other way (which mostly translates to a back air or side b). This combo route definitely takes some considerable practice and experience, so don't be discouraged if you're not consistent with it immediately. And last if we're talking about drag down nairs (see 02:50): I'm just gonna link you this video cos I'm getting tired from typing 🤣 : ua-cam.com/video/kXvLi-lOSZ4/v-deo.html That's a great video tho. Very very in depth. Should give you all you need. If something isn't clear tho, feel free to ask for clarification. I'm always willing to help fellow M2s out there to the best of my ability. And sorry for this wall of text 😅
@@BaumM2 Wow, this is absolute GOLD! I labbed Mewtwo today, because I wanted to, and I tried lots of different things to give me some ideas on how I correctly use Mewtwo's nair into something else. And honestly, it was EXTREMELY productive. Not only did I get much better at doing short-hop dragdown nairs after a down tilt, but I also found patterns in the dragdown timing and their correlation to where a character might end up. I also practiced tele-cancelling, which was also VERY productive. I've even recorded a few Training Mode clips of combos I thought were cool, inspired by your Mewtwo schmoovement! 🔥 If you're willing to, perhaps we could stay in touch, and I could send them to you to see what you think! Of course, this is up to you, don't worry if you feel unsure 👍 Thanks so much for the help, and keep doing what you do, homie. You're an inspiration all 7 of us Mewtwo mains 😂 Jk lol But seriously, you inspire so many people to excel with Mewtwo. Keep up the good work, homie 👍
Depends. Which nair combo do you mean? There are many different applications of Mewtwo's nair with entirely different executions. I assume you mean drag down nairs tho, in which case I'd just point you to this YT video: ua-cam.com/video/kXvLi-lOSZ4/v-deo.html It's a guide on nair's drag down properties. And it explains it so well. Highly recommended. Should you mean a different nair combo, then give me a timestamp or something.
@@BaumM2 that answers the question pretty much. I guess starting on the ground, Down tilt - Nair - down tilt. When I do it the last hit of Nair comes out and knocks away. I’ve tried both variations of short hot and normal jump Nair and I get the same result most times
@@tampabalrog1554 Yeah you gotta delay the nair by a few frames. So the way to do it is: dtilt - short hop - wait for a few frames - nair - drag down - dtilt - repeat... Definitely takes some practice, but you'll get the hang of it.
This is basically what ideal Mewtwo combos are

i need to learn those nair dtilt loops
oh you bet I'm stealing those offstage nair conversions
Absolutely amazing
1:51 wow. Double coverage for a roll away.
His Mewtwo is very cool!
I know I’m a rob main in ultimate and a mewtwo secondary but stuff like this makes me wish I could play my favorite legendary Pokémon as my main
Beautiful ❤
I love your Mewtwo because it's very cool and good!!✨
Thank You very much! 🙏
you're welcome.
Sublime
i strive to be at your level of combo execution with Mewtwo
😍😍😍😍sick bro
I learned the hair drag downs from you and implemented them too. I made a montage too :)
Omg, that lightning loop you did on K.Rool made mine look so pitiful lmao!!
Genuine technical question:
How can you predict the knockback of Mewtwo's nair? If there's a way to control it, PLEASE, teach me how 🙏
