- Decided to make a quick video on how to install the ALG AKT EL trigger into my M70. I am not a professional just enjoy doing this as a hobby, so do this at your own risk. Enjoy!
I did this on my zastava m70 but now watching again for my zastava m90. Thanks again.
My mom said it's called a hammer and trigger pin retainer plate :) Nice instructional video!
I’ve installed more than my share of AK triggers but if I didn’t know how, I’d say this is likely the best video to learn.
Thanks man!
Just completed this install on my new M70 thanks to you. Good looking out man this video was simple and easy to follow and I only got bitten by the hammer spring once.
Lol glad i could help, yea that damn hammer got me a couple times!
“If my terminology is wrong, call your mom and ask her” instant sub 🔥🔥
I gave an instant like on the video haha
that was some funny shit, hahaha!!!!
Didn't have a dremel but thankfully had an old leatherman with a file for the safety roll pin.
I got it! Thanks homie! The trigger is a night and day difference. There's an actual 'wall' to break.
Good, clear, easy to understand video.
Np bro and yes it’s a great trigger! Too bad the price has shot up drastically. :(
I just bought one, going to let gunsmith install it. Still looks like theres too much creep for my taste. I had a geissele ssa trigger in my AR15, absolutely no creep and 2 pound pull, dont know why somebody cant design an AK trigger with no creep.
@@stevenmiller461 there is it’s called the ALG UL trigger. This is the EL trigger. UL has a nickel boron coating and will fire if you sneeze at it
Just changed mine out. Man everything you said was 100% true! Good shit man!
Glad to help!
Thanks a million brother.
Just finished mine.
Easy peasy.
Np enjoy!
@@PewPewithDrew Do i have to use the extra spring that comes with the new trigger? The original trigger doesnt have that spring. Thanks.
@@stevenmiller461 you don’t have to but i would only because it adds some weight to the trigger so it’s not so light. But it’s all preference.
@@PewPewithDrew Ok, thanks for replying so soon, i really appreciate it. Going to use extra spring.
Thanks for this video, just installed my ALG trigger on my M70. The hammer spring was terrifying, I ziptied mine haha
Yea man it’s a mouse trap
Nice video! I’m going to try this myself as soon as I get that trigger!
It’s worth it!
@@PewPewithDrew how fast can you shoot with this compared to UL version?
@@wcsdiaries I’ve never tried the UL version
@@PewPewithDrew Do you have a video firing the EL version? How fast can it shoot?
Great trigger best bang for your buck I put it on all my AKs 🤙🏽
Yes i agree super underpriced!
This was really helpful, thank man.
No problem!
Just finished installing it. Thanks!
No problem!
I want this trigger but seems to much for me to install I do t not have the patients
@@derekquinones8614 it’s not that hard really. You may need a dremel tho. I needed to dremel it a bit to get it to fit.
Great video my guy. Going to add it to the zpap85 in the future
Dope! you like it alot!
Excellent. Thanks. I’m thinking of getting one for my ZPAP. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Do it super worth it
Great video. I might buy one
Do it!!!!
Very well done..... the concise direction I needed
Thanks!
Thanks boss
Nice work bro 👍🤔 I might have to slap one in my N-pap M70 💯
Do it!
Great video.
great video man
Thanks!
Great vid..glad dat sheet didnt get dat finger bro...ordered a new trigger for the missus's sheet today. Thanks yo!
Almost got me lol thanks bro
Very informative
Great video thank you
My M70 has an ALG in it. My gunsmith was talking about the bolt catching every now and then on it and having to run it through a belt sander. The gun had 2 catches on the first 2 mags but been fine the past 10. I chalk it up to being cleaned. Never had an AK act right until it gets some dirt in it lol. I'm buying a WASR10 to be my more tactical set up since it has polymer furniture. Thinking I should do the ALG in it too so I'm not thinking I'm pulling a glock trigger lol
Yea it depends on the bolt and trigger but the more you use it the less it’ll catch. Some people just sand the hammer down.
@PewPewithDrew good to know. Thanks for the reply man. I figure there's a break in process. I'm looking forward to modifying my wasr. My M70 is perfect how it is lol
I installed the ultimate and with the extra coating on the outside of it when I put the trigger housing in it was hanging up on the receiver I just simply sanding down the side of the trigger block then it freed up
You weren't joking about "wrapping the wires around" 😵💫😵💫😵💫. Thanks for tutorial and comedies. Idk how you got the detent in.
Lol yea man it’s like a mouse trap. And hammers are your friend!
yeah, got stabbed in the hand doing mine.
@@wac8516 Yeeeeepp and also now that I'm more educated it's funny to look back at my younger self. Same I was scared installing a KNS piston, but I did it fine. Same with the ALG detent/roll pin. I will admit I messed up with the KNS because I "egged out" but still managed to get it installed and it's fine. Now I'm an "AK gun Smith" lol.
now this is how you shoot a video, you can see every little bit of what he's talking about. so many times people will be talking about something and you can't see anything becuase it looks ok to them looking at it but on video it doesn't show up.
i go this TCG and also got the new heavy hammer spring plus put in the small spring he shows at the last and with those to springs didn't feel like it was any lighter pull, i don't have a trigger pull grange so don't have numbers. but, for sure trigger pull was lots smoother. thought my SA93 was going to be one that didn't need the roll pin on the trigger for the safety, not so had to put it in and file it down so safety would work right. so i'm going to pull everything out go back to hammer spring from Bulgarian that was in it nd leave out the small spring on the hammer that goes in last when putting the pin in place, some call that a trigger return spring but it does add wt. to the trigger pull also like he said here.
glad i found your vid and it's the best so far and i looked a lot of them, thanks for the help.
UPDATE: after pulling everything again got the roll pin in and filed down. put OG Bulgarian hammer spring back in and removed the small spring on the right side of trigger. so if your wanting heavy hammer spring in they sale and the small trigger spring that comes with set. now it's really smooth and light trigger. still have to remove some rivet head or some disconnecter. don't know which I want to yet. great video
Awesome glad i could help bro!
You’d make a great channel if you did all these types of videos with your humor 😂
Lol thanks man I’ll try and put out some more content
2 years later...how did that hold up?
Great video really informative. Question is, I don't have a dremel. Can I file that part down and how much of it would I have to take off?
Yes a file will work fine and honestly not much at all it varies depending on the gun but i literally didn’t take much off at all
@@PewPewithDrew Awesome. Thank you.
Bruh thank you!
Np!
this guy is so fuckin funny, and the tutorial slaps. 10/10
Thanks bro
Will zastava still honor warranty if trigger changed?
Thank you
Anytime soldier
For those who change it, is it worth ? Percentage wise 10, 50, 90% better ?
Will it fit the Franklin or the BFS 3 triggers?
Top notch as always! Question, I just threw in a ALG and everything went pretty smoothly however after I pull the trigger it feels sticky on the reset. It was originally not resetting at all and getting completely stuck after a few function tests it resets fine now but it still feels like it gets stuck for a couple milliseconds and the reset isnt super quick. Any idea what might cause that?
Try checking where the spring legs are. If they aren’t sitting properly over the trigger pin and over the back 2 legs of the trigger it’ll have reset issues
I had that same issue for a bit but Ak_ Tyler's reply is spot on.
I apologize totally late on this and didn’t see this comment. But yes Tyler is correct that should fix the issue!
Where does the longer spring go?
That's the shit awsome 👌
Can you use a file to get that detent to fit?
Sucks we can’t have these in Florida
Any wear on BCG on the m70 from the new trigger?
Nope none
Hey bro is this the same set up as an zpap92?? Thanks..
Yes sir
The ALG hammer can peen the tail of the bolt carrier quickly as it’s hardened.
What kind of grease was that you installed the spring with?
I believe it’s slip 2000
@@PewPewithDrew will any brand of grease work
Not sure if it's just Zastavas or if there's that big of a difference between the older ALG triggers and the "new" EL but the other videos I've seen of ALG trigger installs on AKs they have absolutely zero creep and no wall, just break. Kinda disappointing, mine has a huge uptake/creep before the wall and break.
Defiantly has some creep. I recently used the cmc ak trigger and they have no creep at all pretty crisp break. But like triple the Alg price
I just installed that trigger in my zpap, its a little better than the stock trigger but still has a lot of creep, just a better break. Do you know of an AK trigger that has no creep? I had a geissele ssa trigger in my AR that was creepless.
Honestly i don’t think those exist for Aks. I replaced my Alg with the cmc kalashnikov trigger for the kp9 and it has Very little creep but still a hair of it.
@@PewPewithDrew It was a pain getting this trigger in, i forgot to read all the instructions, it says i may have to shave down the rivet that secures the rear trigger guard. Now i probly gotta take it apart to shave rivet down. Sorry to keep buggin you but didnt your video show the installation on an m70, same as my zpap? I really dont want to take it all apart again but when i push the disconnector toward the buttstock, it hits the top of the rivet.
@@stevenmiller461 yes it’s the exact same for the m92. If your safety engages and works then you don’t have to shave anything down. But if the safety doesn’t work properly then you will have to sand down that rivet but very little.
@@PewPewithDrew Well, my safety engages and works properly, thanks man.
@@stevenmiller461 no problem. As long as your function test is all good you should be ready to go.
I see ppl doing this install while the gun is in a vise & secure...can I do it without one?
You can it’ll just be a lot harder i bought that vise at harbor freight for $20
@@PewPewithDrew thank you! I see it online. Appreciate you
@@lifeonmars03 no worries man I’ve had it for a couple years works great
The ultimate is lighter pull to the defender...also pricing is very different
Kns piston install tutorial ?👀
👀
How much was this trigger ?
Tbh it’s super easy to install I’m just like you i don’t have patience but it wasn’t that bad. I paid 55 for it off Reddit but they sell new for 65 + tax
@@PewPewithDrew there $90 plus now on midway .
@@derekquinones8614 checkout primary arms
@@PewPewithDrew midway was the cheapest when I looked at 90 bucks. Everyone else was selling them for at least 20 buck more.
really sucks that this voids the warranty
If something happens throw the old trigger back in
It’s only trash cause u got a new one 😂
Just shot my zpap with alg-aktel trigger installed, tail of disconnector hits trigger guard rivet. Rivet is dented from being struck by disconnector after only 28 rounds. CHECK YOUR RIVETS ON ALL SIMILAR RIFLES PEOPLE. Evidently theres a big stink about this very issue. Even says on the instructions if your trigger guard rivet is higher than 0.062 inches ,( like i can measure 1/20th of an inch ), you will either have to file down the rivet or shave the tail of the disconnector to prevent them from hitting each other. People are experiencing broken disconnectors by not adressing the issue. Disappointing. Bad design in my non-expert opinion.
Wow never knew this was an issue. I just found a bunch of forums of people having the same issue. Going to check mine now. Thanks! Are you going to shave down your disconnector?
@@PewPewithDrew Yea, probly just angle the diconnector just enough to clear the rivet. Alg says they recommend filing down the rivet instead of altering the disconnector but i'd rather not alter my weapon.
i hear you i think they should have fixed that as will i have a SA 93 milled and thought from what they say on their web site it was drop in and done but had to use roll pin for the safety like others.
Mouse trap ass trigger
ISTG my m70 doesn't fucking work just got this trigger and the safety doesn't work
Did you install the little detent into the trigger that it comes with?
