    I got the monster 1200 and MT-10. You feel the torque more at low RPM on the MT-10. The monster is more agile. The monster pulls hard all the way up to 150mph where as the MT-10 about 130mph doesn’t pull hard. My monster doesn’t have a flash yet. The MT-10 do. It hard to find someone in Maryland to flash my Monster 1200😤

    Man the monster is such a beautiful bike. Super cool.
    I have an mt10 but this is a different type of bike.

    I dig seeing something other than the big four from Japan. I am a big vtwin lover in sport bikes. Nice to see what the Monster was putting down, too bad you couldn’t tune it. Also love the M109’s. Used to have one and it was such a fun bike. Are you doing a dyno video of the 109r and maybe an ecu flash? 🤞🏻

    He also has only the slip on from termi. The full exhaust deletes the exhaust valve and the headers are bigger. The bike will constantly pull wheelies from 1st-3rd gear. Its a blast. I did sold mine to get a panigale v2 since the headers and footpegs started scraping on the track and the front end feel wasn’t great.

  • @SquireSCA
    @SquireSCA 2 роки тому +2

    I had a 2014 Monster 1200S with the full termi race exhaust. Mine made a couple HP more, but the AFR wasn't crazy lean like that one is. I almost wonder if they didn't install the Up-Map for that pipe and were running the stock fuel mapping?

    I know the M109R is not a drag bike but I would love to see how quick you could make one in a 1/4 mile.

    One of the best exhausts for power on the m109r. We tune a lot of them. I have a twin turbo one myself

  • @TreeOfLifeCG
    @TreeOfLifeCG 2 роки тому

    The V twins will make power sooner (and a good amount of it), which is why they're such hoon bikes; you twist the throttle, power's there. 4 cyls turn way higher, they're for top speed. Horsepower is based on RPM after all.

    M109 great sound after the exhaust install...sounds like a Harley🔥🔥🔥

    • @exothermal.sprocket
      @exothermal.sprocket 2 роки тому +1

      Why does every Vtwin get compared to a Harley? It's like saying any stringed instrument sounds like a Steinway. While I couldn't recommend a better brand exhaust for the M109R (REVO is out of Canada I think), the now-discountinued Yamaha Raider 1900 was an awesome sounding engine. They all have unique sound due to firing order, displacement, valve train, compression ratio, gears/belts cam drives, etc.

    I have a 21 1200S and own a dyno we have made 133 with a slip on stock tune the UP MAP from Ducati in my opinion is a waste of money it was a different day when I installed the tune it did 128 canned maps suck. Now that being said we put it back on the dyno last fall because I road it to the shop and it was a beast that fall day so I was curios as to what was going on. 4 pulls 146,148,148 and 149hp. I know dyno's numbers change from one day to the next but that's strange I've never had any other bike swing more than a few hp. Food for thought.

  • @MartinMcMartin

    Not a brand I would ever want to own, but man that sound 😍

  • @DarR1299
    @DarR1299 Рік тому

    Absolutely love those types of comparos. I have a Monster 1200R with slightly more power than the "S" but it's a meaningless difference. On the street, the Monster is a fun beast. Unbeknownst to me at the time, the Monster surprised me by lifted the front wheels in 2nd so high on a Ducati ride day it scared the bejesus out of. Bought one a few months later. It's still scary compared to my Panigale 959 which I had at the time (which I traded for a MTS 1260 Pikes Peak) but that's part of the Monster's charm. I'm was biased for a twin but I'm changing slowly as my next bike may be an S1000RR .

    A cool suggestion!
    Is it possible to do retunes for smaller displacement bikes like the ktm390, ninja 300s 400s. Smaller disp bikes are more common around the world so I think people would love to see what they are capable of unrestricted

    REVO I believe is out of Canada, and they have the best sounding exhaust for big Metric Vtwins that I've heard to date, super deep bassy sound without the raspiness, and not obnoxiously loud. Here's an example of how good a Yamaha Bolt can sound: ua-cam.com/video/4XkqrDCLaqQ/v-deo.html
