Hey, Doug. Love the bloopers at the end! Nice jig. I don’t use my drill press all that much. I’m interested in band saw tips since I cut a lot of blanks for turning. Have a great day while we are freezing to death here in the Midwest! At least it allows a lot of time in the shop!!
Hey Nancy so great to hear from you my friend. Thank you thank you so much I'm so glad you like the Little bloopers I thought they'd be kind of cute. I got a few good bandsaw tricks up my sleeve. I'll make a point to do that and put some out there. So great to hear from you my friend stay warm. I hear we have a cold front headed our way too. Here in Houston. great to talk to you from Doug

Love the outtakes! Your sense of humor kills me. Nice jig. Is this a take on the pencil centerer for board edges, just larger?
You're awesome buddy thank you not quite sure about the board edge. Just a jig that works pretty good for me glad you love it. and thank you my friend so much on the sense of humor 😃. I try not to go too overboard. Sometimes it's rough. Thank you buddy thank you so much for the doug
All i need now is a press drill and space to place it. :-)
I love it my friend you've got me smiling. Thank you thank you so much. I hope you enjoyed the video my friend. From Doug
Hey Doug glad to see you are getting back up to speed. What a great little jig and simple to make. Also, is that a Woodpeckers drill press table you are using and what do you think of its quality
Hi how are you doing buddy. I find it to be very helpful. Yes that is a woodpecker drill press table. I love the way the extensions are done on it. It's designed so you can collect dust out of the back of it from one side. But I'm going to modify it so I can collect dust from both sides. it comes with one metal drawer underneath which works fine. but I'm going to rebuild their metal drawer so that I have three drawers underneath it. I also want to modify the drill press so that I don't have to reach behind it with such a big table on it to raise the height and to change the swivel so I'm going to modify it and move the handles forward. I've been working on it for about a month and a half now. And filming it of course. And I'll be putting it out soon in the future. I do like the drill press table very much. I have to say honestly though I didn't buy it it was given to me as a Christmas present from my brother. But for the price it cost if I did have to buy it I wouldn't buy it. it's basically just a flat top with some extension rods underneath so you can slide some arms out. And a drawer box underneath that. With a couple of hole down tracks laid in the middle. That's something you could easily build. the one thing that I do like about it is the dust collection built into the fence on the back. They designed it so you could collect the dust from either side. but I'm going to modify it so I can collect the dust from both sides. Sorry to be so long-winded my friend but you tapped on a subject that's on my mind that I'm working on. And thank you buddy thank you so much. From Doug
@@fleetswoodshop3339 Thank you for the info and I will be looking forward to the video of you doing the upgrades. I think you are one of the best craftsman out there and really learn a lot from you
Guy that is very kind of you my friend and I hope I never disappoint you buddy a million thank yous from Doug
Hi Doug! I admire your shop. Its like a fairy tail.🙂 Do you do woodworking only as a hoby or did you used to do it professionaly because its to clean ATM. 🙂
JGW. Great to hear from you my friend. If you ever make a shop tour video don't make the mistake of not telling everybody you spent two weeks cleaning and detailing and putting things away before you shot the video. It's not always that clean my friend. Yes I work in it every day. For the most part it's just me and Mr berto that work in the woodshop area. the first section where that three-sided wrap-around benches is part of my business I have a construction company. That's why there's so many ladders and scaffolding and extension cords and that room full of tools that's all for the business. The two areas of the wood shop are my personal wood shop. and I kid you not buddy we spent two weeks. Or mostly Mr berto. Let me give credit where credit is due. Cleaning and detailing the shop before I shot that video. and thank you thank you so much for watching and asking. I've got a couple of other videos on the channel about the shop. If you're interested. But more importantly thank you so much buddy I appreciate that from Doug
@@fleetswoodshop3339
Thanks for the answer. Your shop is an inspiration.
I want to get jiggy with it too, Doug! Can you tell me where to find a centering bit like the one you are using? I cannot seem to find one online, but I am probably searching wrong. Thanks!
Hey there my friend how are you doing. It's not made as a centering pin although it works very well that is a standard attachment for bits in a drill to extend the length of the tip you know how you have those magnetic tip holders that hold the Phillips head and the Flathead tips. That is just a 6-in extension for those type of tips. And as long as it's not one of the plastic ones they are all exactly 3/8 of an inch round. if you don't have one the local hardware sells them for a couple of bucks and they work great at centering bits in the drill. If that doesn't help my friend please let me know and I'll get more in depth. And thank you thank you thank you from Doug
@@fleetswoodshop3339 Thanks Doug! I have a couple of Milwaukee extension bits that look different than that, but they will work great. Thanks for sharing these pro tips!!
You are certainly welcome my friend I hope it works wonderful for you it does for me and I get a lot of good use out of it thank you buddy thank you very much from Doug
