Ep258: As sticklers for organization and cleanliness, the Shakers made Peg rails and used it in just about every room from basement to attic. And it’s just as useful today, as a coat rack, to hang garden tools, and so much more! Even though Shaker Peg rail is a traditional creation, it still looks great in a more contemporary home. And the best part is it’s easy to make. In this episode I show you a couple great methods for making your own historically accurate rails. No worries, we’ve got this pegged! (Closed captions)

Your "little rubber conforming thing" you use to sand the bead at about 14:55 - what is that? I struggle to sand my beads. Thanks. (I searched little rubber conforming thing on Amazon and came up empty! 😀)

Wood craft lists them under "sanding pad," Amazon calls them "sanding tadpoles," and Lee Valley calls them "contour sanding grips. I've had a set for nearly 30 years and they are extremely handy.
