- We made it to Northern India! We are visiting the popular Pink City of Rajasthan, India. Jaipur is known as the pink city due to the colorful pink buildings in the center of the city. We are walking around to see, taste and smell what this city has to offer. There were definitely some culture shocks and first impressions based on our multiple day stay in this city. And of course, we have to try the local food and cuisine.

I have been to Jaipur, several times, most wholesome experience every time , one of my favorite holiday destination.....as for many foreign tourists, they come in hoardes.....
Amber place of jaipur visit there
I've been to Jaipur a couple of times.... It's definitely chaotic, especially in the old town "pink city" and traffic and walking can definitely be an adventure! Never really ate at food stalls (my stomach wasn't in shape to handle that) but there are some great rooftop restaurants in hotels there!
I was actually kind of amazed when you showed Jaipur. I was last there in 1988 and it looked just like that then! Even all the honking was the same. Enjoyed your video!
Loving these honest India videos! India is an absolute shock to most Westerners. And its not for everyone!
Cherry picking the places, then cleverly editing the video etc.... Yeah! Sure
They are doing the same sh!t, selling the fake propaganda image set by west Towards India!
Yeah please do not come here with that attitude. It is better for everyone.
It would be nice not to come here. Better for everyone.
Don't come to India then
Aagaya western culture ka choda gyaan dene ke liye🤣
If these people come to Bangalore I am sure they will roam around in Chor Bazar KR Market, Neelsandra, Shivajinagar and Tannery Road.
They will skip UB city.
😂😂
These are dishonest or lazy people in addition to possible broke. Let's not watch their videos and give views instead mass dislike all of their videos
These clowns will always show half baked truth about India. These clowns want to get more by paying less money
I hope y’all do a full debrief here when you get home. Traveling in India is so daunting. What did you love, where would you go again? What did you wish you had seen/done?
They will eat pork in Germany
To appreciate dal baati choorma, u hv to eat it the proper way. Crumble finely the baati ( round dough balls). Pour good quantity of ghee on them and mix. If u did not get ghee, then ask for it. After that add dal to your mix and mix. Have some. Then add choorma ( the crumbled sweet stuff on the side) to some of the dal baati mix and have. Sweet and savouri. Then try same with different choorma. At the end take one remaining baati, crumble and mix with choorma only. So you end meal with something sweet. Good quantity of ghee and dal is a must. The yellow curry u had is called kadhi. It is gram flour and buttermilk based. Could be spicy and sour. To be enjoyed with kachori, baati or plain white rice. Enjoy next time
Ohh good to know! Thank you! Next time we'll have to try it right!
Thank you for showing what is like to get to the places you are going not just skipping ahead and only showing us the places. It gives the real feel of the places you visit. Love your vids, Guys! Safe travels
We are glad you enjoy! The biggest culture shock for Phil coming to the USA was the driving culture and traffic after watching so many movies and youtube videos. We like to see and also show some of the transportation travel of traveling!
I consider myself one of your biggest fans. I definitely enjoy your recent videos, but really miss the grocery stores. I suspect they don’t get the views street food and restaurants do, but they’re my favorite. Y’all do an incredible job in that format with some restaurants mixed in. Just my HO.
Finished the video, now i'm just sitting here enjoying the peace and quiet. 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for a video showing not only posh and touristy destinations, but also gives an impression of street life. In contrast, Mark Weins would be guarded by handlers, and only showing the glimmer glamour of a destination. Anyways, do take care and stay safe.
Thanks! Although maybe a guarded team would have been the smarter route haha
To be fair, Mark Weins has gotten so big that the tourism bureaus of the countries he visits contract him out for marketing purposes which would explain the “handlers”, and I’m not a huge fan of his.
Best wishes on Deana and Phil getting there some day, they’ve done a bang up job thus far.
@@th6252 I do support the concept of fairness, and yes, you are correct about Mark Weins. Take care and kind regards.
@@Sure777 same to you as well.
it is not tofu it is paneer(indian cottage cheese)
Recently I m seeing a Trend that Many Foreign UA-camrs not visiting TOURIST PLACES..
instead they are roaming on streets, near traffic lights....
Are they here to travel tourist places or watch traffic on roads?
They are here to see India. That includes all of em.
Maybe they are trying to get across the street.😅
Travelling and vlogging about a country is used to show the reality of the country...
Tourists in Europe or USA don't always visit the grand canyon...
Even if they show residential areas of those country they are cleaner and beautiful than our so called touristic places...
Zoom in GMaps in USA any state and look for residential areas...Their residential areas are more beautiful than our poorly maintained parks in india...
Just zoom in and see the reality...
Residential areas not downtown and see how they keep their nature green still having good amount of people...
You two please be safe, not everyone is a nice or friendly person. Love your channel.
I am watching this video again. I found it interesting and kept thinking about it. There is a mixed perception of India in the US. This city looks very different to Mumbai. I started watching a few other India videos, but they are not showing the journey to get to each spot.
I have been watching your India videos. I have never been, but I am enjoying your videos. It seems like a country where I would want a tour guide with me at all times. Stay safe, you two!
You just need to be smart that is it.
I'm only a few minutes into the video, and I'm just laughing at the duck sounds.
Thank you for not contributing to the abuse of the elephants! You are both now more my kind of people, not that you werent before. Also, i would have had anxiety attack after anxiety attack there. So many people and vehicles and noise, i couldnt do it. But at least you gave me the opportunity to see it, good and bad. And damn, that food looked incredible.
Hi, viewer from the Netherlands here, i love your travel style of walking around and experiencing everything in the city, the good and beautiful, but also the bad and ugly.
Phil with a beard.... 👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯
Almost of the foreigners visit cities only, so many times we said visit Kashmir, jammu, ladakh, uttrakhand, uttranchal, himanchal, 6-7 north eastenr states also, but they usually visit only mumbai delhi bangalore calcutta rajasthan only.
Well, its because they are either brokeor lazy to do prework or just looking for content like this for superiority complex I suspect they being combination of first and third category the worst one I even think they never visit these place you mentioned because they want comfort of KFC, McDonald etc in metropolitan places which they never show for staying in spirit of content like this that's not available in place you mentioned. Let's mass dislike all of their videos given its seen trend on X.
Nowadays uttrakhand Himachal is also getting dirty by our own Indian tourists...
So yeah these are getting worse day by day...
The himachalis and all say all the time our own INDIAN tourist has ruined this place...
@@debarsheechakraborty219 tag Pm Modi & others that we want a separate cleaning agency at all markets and tourist places, ready to pay more.
Hi, just saw u guys in another youtubers vlog, you were in Japan:-) love u guys, Thank u !
I guess it was Rion. „Let’s keep walking“ :D
Me too, lol
Haha very cool! small world!
There are many himalayan States & North Eastern rainy states..
Why they just visit 3_4 big crowded cities delhi mumbai kolkata banglore Rajasthan only?
That too on streets in traffic lights??
Except northeast even Himalayan regions are getting dirty by our own tourists...
Northeast is also being polluted sooner or later...
Guwahati Assam in Northeast is ranked 2nd most polluted city in the world...Delhi is 3rd...
Can u imagine that...
One thing...
The places where there are Indian citizens in india...it will be destroyed sooner or later...
Except the indegenous ones who wanted the natire to be well kept but people from certaim parts of India ruined it...
Great video. It was an adventure watching it! 😂
Oh my goodness the car horns would drive me insane 😵💫😭😭
Dont come then
No one is forcing you to come.
@@hanipasha8859 oh please!
@@AussieAngeS we don't want you to loose your sanity you should go to Thuringia in east Germany and try to say something bad about the Austrian painter. They are friendly people they will treat you well.
@@hanipasha8859 yeah no thanks I will pass on that one
So in India people honk, a lot, because it's how they seem to be told to make their presence known. Especially to trucks as a lot of them do not have mirrors. There's been attempts to ban honking in cities in some places but...Well, that's never gonna work.
Jaipur is not a good example, it has one but not that developed, but please, if the city has a metro in the future, use it. It's much more reliable, safer and easier to use to travel around. Any metro is going to be better than those ubers or rickshaws as trains will not have traffic to deal with and no scams.
The honking to show presence is common all over Asia. I remember being a kid and traveling in China. I tried to count the number of honks in a taxi ride and gave up at 200 😂
Great to see you both in India.... enjoy this beautiful and unique country!!! As a food enthusiast, I would recommend you visit Kolkata and Kerala as musts among others.
I've been to Rajasthan fourteen years ago. I was also in Jaipur. It seems it hasn't changed much since then. I travelled with a group led by a guide. His best advice was, eat at places that the good situated Indian women visits. The food there is usually way better and authentic.
If you want to know more about further destinations, I can recommend you Udaipur situated in a beautiful lake scenery, that is known from the James Bond movie Octopussy, Jodhpur the blue city with the impressive Meherangarh Fort towering over the city, Jaisalmer a small town deep in the desert Thar with the beautiful Jaisalmer Fort. In Jaisalmer is the Mandir Palace hotel (probably one of the most elevated Hotels in India) but with an excellent Restaurant, Pushkar known from the visits of George Harrison. The city still has this sixties backpacker vibe to it which feels like a nice contrast to the usual Indian chaotic energy. And of course Agra. If you are in northern India you must visit Agra with the Taj Mahal. It is even more impressive seen with your own eyes than from all Postcards and scenic photos.
Compared to Jaipur is Delhi even more chaotic and busy. There are some areas where you can get authentic northern Indian sweets that are very, very good.
Thanks for the tour definetly not in a rush to go there.
no welcome
Don't come
Brother, first you get visit places information of city then plan how to visit them
With the traffic and noise,I don’t think I could be calm or happy there.Coudos for trying it .The food you had looks good, but the filth is ridiculous
Exactly my thoughts
Yes, I too made a similar comment because I like peace and quiet. I don’t think I could ever visit India, because of all the honking and the food and they have mobility issues too so long trip to India would be out of the question for me now.
Isn't ironic the land that gave us_Yoga-Karma Sutra_"Everyone is in a hurry_'Get out of my way"!
That was our golden period. Many generations have been robbed of their culture, knowledge, identity, wealth and lives. For example, over 3 million people were killed by depriving them of their food and man made famine just to supply the grains for the WW2 west was fighting.
Please bear with us, we have literally started from zero and currently in the process of rebooting.
That honking...!!!!
Crush the baatis and mix in the dal and churmas in proportion to the taste you want and eat. And lol tofu and paneer are two very different things. Paneer is actual milk cottage cheese and tofu is soy milk cheese. Very different.
Ok. Before i watch the video, a have to get same food for myself.
Subscribed due to the honesty of both of you ❤
If you want actual spicy food come to nalasopara East in Mumbai
Dont come if you dont like simple...
Please visit kerala state in southern part of india
In this summer u have to visit hill stations such as Ooty, Kodaikanal, munnar, Darjeeling, Shimla, kulu manali
Entweder du wirst nach 3 Tagen Wahninnig u. landest in der Klapse oder du gewöhnst dich dran. Ich habe mich daran gewöhnt !
I m seeing a trend.. All of them are roaming on from one traffic light to another..
Are only traffic lights & roads left to visit?
You will find different culture..different food ...different language after every 500 km in India..enjoy colourful INDIA 🇮🇳
That's a long stretch... Food changes from state to state... Also same dishes have different methods and different taste from city to city...
I'll recommend you a good guide to understand indian and Indians , so can't crappy things about good things 🙂
You are so brave! Thanks😂😅
Guys search tourist places list..
Search Kashmir Jammu Ladakh Uttrakhand Uttranchal Himachal Assam Meghalaya Sikkim & many North eastern rainy and green places..
Why only big cities?
Just crumb the bati and pour the dal on it... let it soak for a few min and then eat it...
Waiting for south india series..
En:
Hey you two, really funny coincidence. I saw you both walking by in a video from a Japanese UA-camr in Osaka near Shinsekai yesterday :D
So there's still content coming from Japan! I'm already very excited.
Hehe! Ja! Wir sind jetzt in Japan.
The overpopulation would be too much for me. Thanks for the video.

My freezer is warmer than Germans
Come to goa
best way to try Indian food is to try local thali at every place you go. in Rajasthan you should try Rajasthani thali.
I hate those coriander seeds with a passion 😂
Wow, India is so much like Egypt 🤣

No desire to go to Jaipur, but I can get the food you had in my own hometown. Traffic noise is too much and the walking is not easy. I liked that rooftop dinner location.
Welcome to Kerala next here less pollution and more clean and visit fort kochi, munnar, allapey, munnar, thekkady, varkal and kovalam beaches, and wayanad welcome to gods own country kerala🌴🌴🌴
You can visit film city also😊
If you come Mumbai, then I'll definitely meet you, 😊😊
These guys are carrying bias and perceptions with them instead of enjoying the food whole heartedly. India is definitely backward in quite a few areas but Indian food is absolutely delicious.
I don't think their view and perception were biased. If anything, I appreciate their honesty. It seems you are offended.
@@doraemonforever1726 They are. I know that India isn't for rich and levish westerners but these guys, especially the girl are clearly just finding reasons to hate. Also, check their thumbnails for India vs other countries, the perception gets stronger. I am glad they aren't getting much views, which they deserve for those blank faces throughout the video. They were trying to farm Indian subscribers and views but failed.
This was anxiety inducing.
Why?
Jaipur looks like a place to be from! FAR AWAY FROM!! Your videos are always grear to watch and enjoy. This city doesn't appear to be very inviting and the people on the street peer at you like Predator looks at it's Prey. I once walked through Harlem in New York City. Your experience in this city reminded me of my experience in Harlem; and that wasn't pleasant. Looking forward to your future videos, so, stick to the main streets and stay safe. Best Wishes and Safe Travels.
Think Indian culture every masculine
If you didnt see amber palace in jaipur it means you see nothing even france president visit there go and see its beautiful 😊
Hello sir , when will you come to Mumbai??😅
If I were walking those streets I would make sure to keep a close eye on Deanna. Those guys definitely looked a little unsavory.
Have you seen Mark Wiens videos? He's a foodie and was in India too.
Gianna and Phil, it was so hard to watch this video. I like it quiet, and it was hard to listen to all the honking. I know that’s what it’s like in India from watching other UA-camrs go there, but I don’t think I could get used to that and I definitely will never go visit India.
It's frightening. 😢
Go to Shimla
I know its uncomfortable being there but thank you for showing us because it sure does make for great videos.
You guys just walking around and getting the real view is what is the charm of these videos. Not just showing the good, but the bad and the ugly too. Thank you for being you.
Safe travels🍀
Visit North East India 7 sister States, assam ....try lots of Assamese foods......and have the best pork dishes in here.... waiting for Assamese food videos
In India there is no tofu, there is PANEER
Why don't you come to Goa it's any day better than Germany.
