Comparisons Then and Now - Ducky and Illya -NCIS - Man From Uncle
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 тра 2013
- For David McCallum fans. Similar views of mostly Ducky and Illya. This is a slightly longer version of it's predecessor, with a few extra clips. Recorded in HD for full screen viewing.
His smile is unbeliveble. Such a cute guy. Scottish Gentlemen .
He has aged really well. He is still a good looking man.
He's not old. On his next birthday, he'll only be 87. I only wish he could've said "I'll be 100 on my next birthday in 2033."
I’ve loved David since those Illya Kuryakin days. When he was cast on NCIS it was so wonderful to have him again. He does a genius portrayal of an amazing character. While we don’t get to see him too much anymore it’s something to get excited about when he’s there.
And, fortunately, cable stations and streaming channels let us see the older episodes whenever we want.
Nobody can touch Ducky. And his relationship with “Jethro” is the best.
For me David McCallum will always be Ilya Kuryakin --remember him from the 60s ;grew up with him ,glad that he has found a new generation of followers.
He was an awesome man then and now even more so. I always adored him. 💗💓
Some things never change. In David, they only got better.
In an early episode of NCIS Kate asked Gibbs what Ducky looked like when he was young, Gibbs said “Ilya Kuryakin.”
Lol
my wife saw this and said "ducky as a duckling" perfect comment.
He will always be Illya Kuryakin for me. And I hope fans of David got to see him in the Perry Mason episode "50 Million Frenchmen" he played Phillpe Bertan.
great job this video! I'm too young to know Man from Uncle but I'm into NCIS
and I like David McCallums performance a lot. many thanks for sharing!
time is very kind to Mr McCallum - hes also a very good musician / composer
My UNCLE vote goes to Illya too. Loved him in UNCLE and still do. Has aged a helluva lot better than I did!
David is a legend! A great guy wish I have my looks when I turn 80 !!!!
when i was a kid he was super cool in the man from uncle....but it ran from 10 to 11 pm and it was hard to stay awake
Always loved David. Thanks, nice job
I had a high school crush on him then, he was cute with a gorgeous accent. Still handsome. He should have been Bond in his younger days.
Still has that same adorable smile
Beautiful man, then and now
A kid when MFU had it's run, even as a kid I thought there was something about Illya, he was different and may I say so dreamy, liked his Illya Kuryakin and Robert Vaughn's Napoleón Solo, the fact they they were so opposite is what made the show work and now generations of fans know him as " Ducky" on "NCIS" but for me is is still stuck in the 1960s as the dreamy "Illya" a man's man and every girl's fantasy...
I used to get I Spy and the Man From Uncle mixed up... I was just a kid.
The Illya Kuriakin in-joke in NCIS was gold, when Kate once asked Gibbs what Ducky looked like when he was young, and Gibbs replied with a smile: "Like Ilya Kuriakin."
He just told her, "Illya Kuryakin". Gibbs, no doubt watched "MFU" when he was younger. I'm not sure if Cait knew who he was referring to, but Abby had a painting of David in her lab. I think it's one maybe Jill Ireland-his former wife-painted of him (or possibly a self-portrait he did himself) that he let the set borrow or have for that episode. There was also a photo of David and his father in Ducky's house , but it went by too fast for me to see it.
great video as Illya or Ducky he's beautiful.
Now we know why Jethro Gibbs told Cait what Ducky looked like when he was younger and we'll know what Illya will look like when he's Ducky's age!
David has aged well remember he's not young anymore he's in his 80s
True, but he still looks younger than some people who are much younger.
I would LOVE to see Ducky in a turtleneck sweater, just for comparison. Rose Prulx
Some things never change, even as you get older.
You should see him in "The Great Escape"
He is absolutely BEAUTIFUL in The Great Escape! That blonde hair ... sigh...
G L Puerner I met Robert Vaughn once at the Hyatt Hotel in Atlanta. He'd asked if I was a Democrat and I wondered why that mattered. I was a Libetarian at the time and told him. At first, he Didn't want to sign my autograph and I stated that his pal, David didn't ask before signing mine. Fortunately, he did apologise and signed it with a smile. Can't believe he's gone now. David was much kinder I think. I guess we had more in common.
G L Puerner Ducky with that hat of his reminds me when he played Ashley Pitt! Saw him in other movies too over the years. Still good looking!
I loved him in Colditz.
You did a wonderful job here
Blessed with good genes.
Como siempre muy bello!!
Still looks good be safe
My tovarishch ! I did the same thing. He is eternal.
muy buen trabajo, gracias, siga en la linea man from uncle please.
Some things never change! See the comparisons!
Has anyone noticed how remarkably similar the young Ducky looks like Illya?
Yes, they did a great job of casting - and the actor's availability allowed them to do more than one episode with "Young Ducky". Of course the best job of casting (or the easiest) was "Young Gibbs", a.k.a Mark Harmon's real life son!
I had a crush on him in high school. Never missed the MFU He’s good looking now. Never liked Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn) he came across as stuck up in that series.
By the way tom and Jerry cartoon did a takeoff on, man from u. N. C. L. E. Tim was a spy from thrus, and Jerry was illya. It was great.
Can you believe his hair was considered long in 1964?
DiNozzo and McGee remind me of Solo and Kuryakin as in "Illya gets the dirty work, Napoleon gets the girls" but put Tim and Tony instead.
Aged well.
Oh yes still Yummy To Look At !!
I think the writers then didn't know that the spelling of Illya should've been Ilya-so a Russian friend told me. I've always preferred David and met both at different times after plays they performed in Atlanta. Robert Vaughn was nice, but didn't want to sign my autograph because he thought I was too "right wing" when he asked if I was a Democrat and I said no. David didn't ask, I told him, and he signed it,but I had the feeling I wasn't going to be one of his greatest fans. David was a whole lot kinder and let me take his picture then, even after I had kissed him in '76! I wonder how they're going to portray the Illya-Napoleon relationship in the new movie. Will they mess it up like they did with the Starsky-Hutch film or the K/S fanzines? I think men can be friends ,especially if they've worked together for a long time without being gay. Is this how they're picturing Ducky? It's not that I'm homophobic, it's just that I want to see honesty in characters-not just to make them gay just to make the cause widespread. MY sister is a lesbian and I have female friends, but I want to get married to my boyfriend-just not now. Illya was shy around girls then and so is my boyfriend (he has Asperger's Syndrome).Maybe, Ducky hasn't given up yet, just because that woman nearly stiffed him. If you see younger pictures of David's wife, Katherine, you'll see that Pauley looks a wee bit like her and they 're both taller than he is and the lady that tried to stiff him-Sophia-that's his daughter's name.
I always preferred Robert Vaughn to David McCallum in TMFU ....now I have to say I think David McCallum definitely has the edge. Possibly explains why I always get in the wrong line at the supermarket....
always loved them--had pictures on my bedroom walls and would kiss them goodnight!
Kathleen Fillo Illya was always my favorite. Fun show--the original Man from UNCLE.
David was a pretty good actor in the movie "Sol Madrid", Stella Stevens not so good.
My favorite TV super spy, Vaughn was handsome but there was something about David back then, cool and sexy without being overt with it..
Se mantiene muy bien...:)
I'm only 43 and he looks better than me !!! Life is SO unfair..!!
Aww 🤗💖
