I had NO IDEA this was happening in the guitar parts on this masterpiece. Frankly I'm blown away not just by what the actual chords ARE, but also this incredibly complicated and layered guitar part. Well, I guess if this were a solo or duet guitar showpiece this playing would not be complicated, but as duo-guitar ACCOMPANIMENT as part of a band recording, it's amazing! They are really playing hell-for-leather and kicking the rest of the band in the pants, and I think that this helps contribute in a HUGE way to the incredible urgency of this song.
Oh man ... I get chills listening to all these harmonic hooks ... every single element of this track is soooo good - both in audio quality and musical content. I wonder if AI will ever be able to reach this raw multi-track level for gtr and pno. It's already pretty close on drums and vocals. The other thing is that some bassists add funky little percussive sounds that AI often moves to the percussion stem. Have you had much luck with rockabilly upright bass like the Elvis Sun sessions? Or slap & pop like Larry Graham with Sly? Off-topic but in Cuban music there's some astounding funky percussive stuff in the bass and chordal parts but the current AI algorithms really come up short when there's not a trap set.
