You could tell that from names, jokes aside I think it just fucks the algorythmus, everybody will stop watching after the 3-0, so there will be 30-40% of video with 0 watchtime and that leads to a really bad watch time/video length rate.
They learned from last year T1 and also the DRX the year before But since next year there'll be three splits, I think Split 1 and 2 they're still being meta slaves while Split 3 they're starting to innovate

Zekas yone is probably the best in the world. His engages never leave him vulnerable like with other players. It's really amazing. It seems he's the only one who truly figured out yone.
Zeus is not bad, but you cant play top carries in swap meta - you are just getting swapped on and get starved and killed under tower... you can only play tanks or bruisers; So yeah just give Guma Ziggs, Trist, or other scaling / turret destroyer champs and lets go..
I really like hanwha not depending on Viper anymore especially when you compare it to spring where hanwha's main goal is to let viper get more gold as much as possible. but now they just do their own thing and execute teamfight perfectly🧡

Main takeaway for me is, DK and T1 dont really understand the meta and how to draft, T1 tried and failed to counter the Ziggs Smolder comp and it looked like a weak draft and then tried to do the Ziggs Smolder comp and then got properly countered in draft by HLE. Also the Hands diffy in Mid and the brain diffy in JG is really hard to play into.

I like that ziggs proven to be OP in draft like caedrel was saying during GenG DK, and zero teams in top 4 this r2 banned ziggs so it ended up with a 100% pick rate And still t1 managed to end the ziggs winstreak
he's really good on melee champs, i mean his signatures for years were akali and sylas. and honestly, with things like garen, yone, nasus, melee's going back into mid, he can bring his champs back out of retirement. and its a great time to come back into form for him.
right now Worlds can be very entertaining due to the wide pool of champs which are getting picked :D better than this worlds with yuumi every game first pick or every game same Lineups around jinx aphelios for example :D so very pointless :D
this is actually a REALLY good meta for HLE if it continues on this trend. viper is an excellent mage player, and with melee's becoming more prominent in midlane to counter adc's, thats...thats zeka's wheelhouse.
Zeka is one of the most mechanically talented players this generation together with Peyz and Keria. Honestly zeka's ability to learn new champions, improve on them and win team fights is insane. I would pick zeka for carries, chovy for scaling and laning, faker for game sense.
The meta has been.... not stale & I am seeing HLE GenG make great use of macro, draft, champ pool, champ pick Meanwhile our legacy stars.... Showmaker, Faker seems a bit out of place as if they are just old one-trick player unable to keep up with the ever changing landscape.

It isn't like HLE just played it perfectly and owned them, many of the fights looked like they'd be different if the various bad executions from T1 didn't happen. HLE had a great performance but you can see plenty of points where slightly better play from T1 (which the players are capable of) could've potentially changed the games.

it's kind a funny because while the drafts are far more entertaining, the gameplay is far more boring, the games far more one-sided too because it's all macro with nearly no playmaking - last years playoffs was boring drafts but absolute banger games..this time its banger draft and boring games
I like vlad a lot. He's one of those infinite stackers too. Even though it's pretty negligible you can get a ton of bonus health if you play around it. If the pros focussed on hemo stacks like Sennas and Dragonboy stacks, I think they'd find some value from that passive too. Vlad deals with dives very well and has some of the best potential to counter a lane swap situation. A Vlad late game is hard to deal with for a lot of squishy champions too.
T1 being this bad in teamfights is rough to watch because it's where they (usually) shine. But at least it's against the minigoat Peanut and the melee goat of giga-Zeka. This man's Akali and Yone are so nice to watch
Honestly ziggs is not really the problem, sure he is strong but T1 just got out drafted and out team fought. Like the first game the real problem was vi and the rest of the dive on hle, and the fact that t1s comp was all over the place when it came to what they wanted to do- guma wants uptime but noone can peel for him, lee sin and lb want to pick off, kennen wants to flank, braum was just completely useless. Second game was even more confusing for the draft. I think everyone was so confused that t1 didnt ban ziggs that they just didnt care that t1 first picked nasus mid and had a 4 bruiser and 1 mage comp, which is bad enough but it was also into a smolder who is free farming. In game three we see why ziggs isnt always amazing, this champ isnt a free win and i also dont think it should be first picked. I think the strength of ziggs is just the fact that he allows adcs mid and teams are not punishing this mostly immobile mage
DK and T1 must have been scrimming eachother a lot. They have very similar reads on what the meta should be, and they are both apparently WILDLY off. Both teams also played a lot worse than their opponents and I think HLE and GENG would have taken both series no matter what, but a better meta read may have at least made them close series

I never understood why people stopped playing Yone after the Worlds when Yone and Ksante literally owned that Worlds. Now watching this series and seeing Yone solo winning the first and third game in team fights kinda make my point valid. This champ has so many tools for a great team fight, it is crazy not to pick. All you need is a little bit CC from teammates which can be possible with so many champs like Leona, Alistar, Rell, Vi, Kennen.

idk alot about the rules for these tournaments but since the meta is favoring adc mid, mage bot (ziggs) and lane swappping. Why doesn't t1 just switch guma and faker out. faker plays ziggs in bot and guma plays the ad meta on mid? pls correct as i know nothing about pro play.
Swapping players entire role for them to play a champion they are comfortable on would ruin all strategy and macro they’ve practiced for laning phase. Now faker and keria have to learn to synergize together in bot lane and guma has to learn a lane that can be ganked from both sides. There’s endless reasons it’s a completely different laning phase than they’ve been doing for years.
Also to add to this, if Guma and Faker did swap, the opponent will take advantage of this by banning certain picks and forcing them into metas/champs they're uncomfortable on. A player like Zeka on Corki or Yone would just bully Guma for the entire game and Oner would need to babysit Guma, losing so much map control.
The diff between GenG and T1 now, GenG cooked the draft and can execute it. Meanwhile T1 cooked the draft and pray it.ll work for them. I love this SoloQ mentality from T1 🥲🥲

Honestly ziggs is not really the problem, sure he is strong but T1 just got out drafted and out team fought. Like the first game the real problem was vi and the rest of the dive on hle, and the fact that t1s comp was all over the place when it came to what they wanted to do- guma wants uptime but noone can peel for him, lee sin and lb want to pick off, kennen wants to flank, braum was just completely useless.
Second game was even more confusing for the draft. I think everyone was so confused that t1 didnt ban ziggs that they just didnt care that t1 first picked nasus mid and had a 4 bruiser and 1 mage comp, which is bad enough but it was also into a smolder who is free farming.
In game three we see why ziggs isnt always amazing, this champ isnt a free win and i also dont think it should be first picked. I think the strength of ziggs is just the fact that he allows adcs mid and teams are not punishing this mostly immobile mage

I've never seen T1 get bitched in teamfights like this. Usually they always get stomped in drafts or sometimes macro but rarely in teamfights.

DK and T1 must have been scrimming eachother a lot. They have very similar reads on what the meta should be, and they are both apparently WILDLY off.
Both teams also played a lot worse than their opponents and I think HLE and GENG would have taken both series no matter what, but a better meta read may have at least made them close series

I never understood why people stopped playing Yone after the Worlds when Yone and Ksante literally owned that Worlds. Now watching this series and seeing Yone solo winning the first and third game in team fights kinda make my point valid. This champ has so many tools for a great team fight, it is crazy not to pick. All you need is a little bit CC from teammates which can be possible with so many champs like Leona, Alistar, Rell, Vi, Kennen.
Picking AD champs that can buy stopwatch really swung some fights.

imo, there IS no meta in midlane atm. like, there's smolder, corki, zeri, trist, azir, and..i guess ori. and then there's the absurd amount of counterpicks people take: draven, garen, nasus, ori, yone, etc etc.
i'd say it should be more entertaining than it is because of how fucking varied and widespread the meta for mid is but at the same time, im so sick of the adc midlane meta. xD

idk alot about the rules for these tournaments but since the meta is favoring adc mid, mage bot (ziggs) and lane swappping. Why doesn't t1 just switch guma and faker out. faker plays ziggs in bot and guma plays the ad meta on mid? pls correct as i know nothing about pro play.
Swapping players entire role for them to play a champion they are comfortable on would ruin all strategy and macro they’ve practiced for laning phase. Now faker and keria have to learn to synergize together in bot lane and guma has to learn a lane that can be ganked from both sides. There’s endless reasons it’s a completely different laning phase than they’ve been doing for years.
Also to add to this, if Guma and Faker did swap, the opponent will take advantage of this by banning certain picks and forcing them into metas/champs they're uncomfortable on. A player like Zeka on Corki or Yone would just bully Guma for the entire game and Oner would need to babysit Guma, losing so much map control.
