I have one of these. It’s excellent to hear a price it also works really well to cook Hashbrowns two.
Didn't say if able to program time with "steam" option. Also, I thought the classical music playing in the background was distracting.
agreed the music was so annoying. No idea why people add music to videos. I almost stopped watching but there are so few reviews on this rice cooker.
Ok, here's my question, since none of the videos seem to answer my question about using this unit. I'm used to cooking rice the old fashioned way, 1 cup rice, 2 cups water, cook for 20 mins and you're good to go with 4 cooked cups of rice. Perfect every time. This unit says 45 mins and this cup is smaller than a standard cup so, how do you "not get" chimpy rice?
The 2 to 1 method still holds true, you don't have to use the included cup. As for the time that includes time to heat to boil. I've noticed you can shave a few min off or you can use the manual timer.

I'm looking for a stainless steel replacement. This one will last a fair while longer though with the coating, which has been pretty durable. (no scratches yet)
Is it used to make a beef broth?
I don't see why you couldn't. You'll need to be sure you don't steam out too much liquid.
