Your making me take a trip down memory lane with those game titles 😄I've played them all too. You must been a 1990s kid to have played them games. As much as I love video games now and how they have progressed you can never beat the old school ones on ps1 seriously
@@NephthysNoir what about legacy of kain soul reaver, tomba, blasto, gex2 and 3 , einhander, akuji the hearthless , metal gear solid, silent hill, resident evil nemesis, jersey devil, test drive 5, nfs high stakes, we lived the best years of gaming
Good game. Wish there had been a little more detail about the plot and the main character throughout. Heck, we only know the ninja's name, Kurosawa, via the game's manual.
Did you know this game was actually first build as an arcade game? I have some footage of that in my collection, it even had co-op. It was later was planned as a Sega Saturn exclusive but for some reason it was released as a Sony PlayStation exclusive. There are screenshots of the Sega Saturn version on the net. So they probably didn't bother too much about the story in its development. I'm happy they didn't scratched this game because of the troublesome development.
And there are obvious leftovers from the arcade version in there, like the score system and at the end of the game there's a leaderboard that's pretty much useless for a singleplayer game. But they left that in.
@@Casketkrusher_ Didn't know about the arcade bits but did read about the planned Saturn port/release that was canned. I think it was cut due to the Sega Saturn pretty much bombing by the late 90's. Hell, the Dreamcast was already in development at the time due to how poor the console was selling.
This track always instilled this sense of urgency throughout this whole level.
Best song from this game honestly
TheTobiGuy yeah this was the best theme of this game but this game was very hard to play though
@@shanuqurashi9004 I remember hearing my ninja shout argh argh argh argh!!!! A lot When he dropped off the mountain when them ledges disappear 🤣
4 years later I agree streamer playing it now had to look it up🔥🔥🔥🤙🏾
core design developer very hardest games like tomb raider, ninja shadow of darkness, fighting force and more.

My favorite part 0:57-1:16
This stage was very hard especially when the snow would fall and make ledges disappear
Nephthys Noir almost every stage of this game was very tough
Yes I always died at this spot
