My favorite tool is my hammer. Multiple guys have told me it’s a “framing hammer” and the things I use it for are totally wrong, but I could care less. It feels right in my hand. It does everything I want it to do. And, it could kill zombies in the zombie apocalypse no problem. 😊
I’m so enjoying watching your cats ‘helping ’ you, they’re so cute! Glad you’re taking your life back, it seems being self employed means having to work much harder than ever and you’ve recognised that! X
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I appreciate your perspective, but I've found that my current setup works best for my needs and space. It's wonderful how different spaces can be tailored to suit individual preferences, isn't it? I am hoping to get more of a work/life balance and have some workspaces off site. That way my home is more of a home, and not an office. Best regards, Catherine
Yes, Yes to solid wood drawers especially with Dovetailed corners. All of my furniture has this. Would not own anything without it. Built to last decades🤗
These are your plans and they sound lovely, but please bear in mind though, by 'knocking through' one sometimes loses space. Also it's useful sometimes when one is super busy, to have a room where the door can simply be closed to hide the busyness of life. Just a thought, but looking forward to seeing your new space.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I appreciate your concern about losing space and the benefits of having a separate room. I've considered these factors in my plans, and I'm confident that opening up the space will better suit my needs. I'm excited to share the progress with you! Enjoy your weekend! Catherine
It will be lovely to see the 2 rooms into one overlooking the garden. Your house is like mine small and it's good to see you reclaim it for yourself and B&B 😻😻😊
Hi Yvette! 😊 Thank you so much for your kind words and support! I'm excited about the idea of combining the rooms and enjoying the garden view. Small spaces have their charm, don't they? Reclaiming and repurposing them is all part of making it feel like home. Your encouragement means a lot! Best, Catherine
You cant beat old solid wood furniture, lasts forever and can move it as many times as you want and dont break, I'm like you so many craft bits and never use them, so thanks for the video it's making me want to clear mine out.❤
Thank you so much! I'm glad you love the big window and the garden view as much as I do. Removing the blinds has definitely made a big difference, and I'm planning to keep it open to enjoy the view. Thanks for your approval and kind words! Best, Catherine
Catherine, I think removing the wall to give you one big space is a great idea. With french doors of course ha ha. You have so many tools, and why not. Your cats are so lovely and very curious. Everyone needs to give their selves more me time. Thank you Catherine.
Thank you for your thoughts on the wall removal! I love the idea of creating a bigger space with French doors-it sounds lovely. My cats certainly do keep things interesting with their curiosity! And you're right, making time for ourselves is so important. Thank you for your kind words and support! Enjoy your weekend! Catherine
“Buying a crow bar in a floral dress!” 😂 Hi Catherine, thank you, you gave bags of inspiration to tackle my own crafty mountain! Or just mountains of stuff! Letting go is never easy for me, but I’m up for the challenge. Pleased to see you had helpers, not sure how much help, but they made my day 😊 take care, Suze. 🥰🤗
Haha, I'm glad my adventures with a crowbar in a floral dress could bring some inspiration! Tackling mountains of stuff is always a challenge, but it feels great once you start making progress. My helpers do their best, even if it's mostly moral support! 😸 Take care and best of luck with your crafty endeavors! Warm regards, Catherine
Imagine if you had stood there slapping the crow bar into your spare hand and saying “right, where are they” and then left the shop, imagine the topic of conversation with the staff after that🤣🤣
I am loving your first book SO much-it's beautiful, and so many great ideas. Next month (September) I'm gifting myself your latest book. Congrats on that by the way - and you ARE an author! How many people can say they've had TWO books published and while you're young! It is an accomplishment to be proud of!
When I buy IKEA or other cheap furniture with drawers I always use wood glue for the bottom, sides and front (aswell as the screws) when I put the drawers together. Only the drawers though in case I will be needing to take the thingy apart for moving or such. Wood glue is impressively strong. :)
The crowbar saga had me laughing when you told us your story when you purchased it. I enjoyed watching your video with your cute little helpers.I am starting my junk drawer and kitchen worktops today.
I have been watching a long time. Sorry for not communicating. A bit shy. But really enjoy everything you do. You are so talented. And love you cats. And miss the ones that passed. Have a pleasant day
Another very relatable video. ❤ I now have a pile of items sitting to go to the charity shop, consignment shops and the trash. ❤ It is very therapeutic to clean out and have space left over . Thank you again for an inspiring video. ❤
My husband said that you have enough experience if you should want to, to remove the wall between your kitchen and office yourself. He said since there is electrical or plumbing in there, that you would be aware and Careful and could even haul the debri away. It would save you money. He thought your plan with the door is great! It would look great!! ❤
Thank you for the confidence and for sharing your husband's thoughts! I appreciate the encouragement. However, for major structural changes like removing a wall, I prefer to consult with professionals to ensure everything is done safely and correctly, especially with electrical work and plumbing. Sometimes mistakes can cost more in the long run. Thanks again for the support and the compliments on my plan! Best, Catherine
I can see you all dressed up and buying a crowbar! I went to a big box store to buy a chainsaw. I had just gotten off work, like you, and I had on a two piece suit (skirt and blazer). This woman asked if she could help me, and I told her I needed a chainsaw. We went to where they were and I chose one, and she got a ladder to get one that was boxed up. She told me that a chainsaw was the last thing she would have expected me to be looking for. Well, we do what we have to do! LOL Loved watching you sort and the cats definitely helping! Ha!! I have a small home too, and I need to be more disciplined about what to keep and what to let go of.
You can easily make yourself a Roman blind you're very handy Catherine 😊 I've made them they're really easy 👍 Thanks for the great vlog as usual. I must get cracking my workroom is a right state 🙈😄 x
My fav tool is my drill, for sure. You declutter & clean more than anyone I know. I’m super impressed. I think I would be better at those things IF I only had to take myself into consideration. lol
Thanks for sharing your favorite tool! I appreciate the compliment on my decluttering and cleaning efforts. Balancing everything can be challenging, especially when I have nobody to help out in the home, but it's something I prioritise and enjoy doing. Best, Catherine
Thank you so much! 😄 It's amazing what a crowbar can do, right? I'm glad you're looking forward to the renovation-it's definitely going to he a journey. Your kind words and support mean a lot to me. Take care! Catherine
Well done Catherine on all the organizing and it looks lovely. If it was me, since your window is in back of the house and no viewing from anyone that I can see, I’d leave the window bare. It’s such a beautiful view. Other than that a simple Roman shade. Love the kitty helpers, they are the sweetest. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your kind words and for your suggestion about the window! I agree, the view is beautiful, and I'll definitely consider leaving it bare or opting for a simple Roman shade to maximize the natural light. My kitty helpers are indeed the sweetest, and they make organizing quite an adventure! 😸❤️ Thanks again for your support! Best, Catherine
Hi Alana! Thank you so much for your kind words and for being a subscriber for all these years! I'm thrilled to hear that you find the decluttering videos motivating and satisfying. It's amazing how removing a piece of furniture can transform a space, isn't it? Your support means a lot! Best regards, Catherine
My favorite tool is a triangular, angled paint brush. Unbeatable for corners, cutting in and details. 🤩 I’m in gardening season, so my hori-hori is the most used tool atm. You might want to consider a support in front of the shelf you have your sowing machines on. My spidey senses tell me the shelf will sag and be annoying due to the weight 💕 Have a great weekend, and continued best wishes to your mum! (Edited to change wording) (yes, I read back my comments and think «that could have been worded better») (I know 😅)
Thank you for your suggestion and for sharing your favorite tools! I appreciate your concern about the shelf. I chose a thick piece of wood, if it sags, I just simply flip it over. I hope you have a great weekend too. Thanks for your well wishes to my mum! Best, Catherine
Roman shades would look nice in there. So easy to pull up when you want. Decluttering? Yup, my first thought is clear storage bins with labels into the new storage area. Clearing your space makes it feel like it's easier to breathe.
I love this cute room. It is the perfect office/craft room. Beautiful view and lots of natural light. Wonderful double storage unit with cabinets and deep drawers. A place for everything. If this becomes you kitchen where will you keep all your tools and craft supplies? Now it is all neat and tidy again. Perfect place for cats to play and nap. I changed my kitchen door to a full length glass with blinds in the glass for privacy. Opened the room up to more light. I didn't need a bigger space I just need the light and view. When I first retired I was always looking for somewhere to go. It was so hard for me to stay at home. I know how you feel about the blurred lines between work and home. Have a wonderful week.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I'm glad you like the room and appreciate the natural light and storage solutions. If the room does become a kitchen, I'll make sure to find a new spot for my tools and craft supplies to keep everything organized. Your idea for a full-length glass door with built-in blinds sounds fantastic-it's amazing how much difference light and a view can make. I understand what you mean about the challenge of balancing work and home life, especially after retirement. While I can't relate to retirement I do relate to the transition of working from home. Thank you again for your kind words and have a wonderful week too!
Thank you so much! 😊 I'm thrilled to hear that you find my craft room relaxing. It was a lot of work, but seeing it all come together and reading comments like yours makes it all worth it. 🥰✨ Happy crafting!
I just love your house, and garden, you are always looking everything on the bright side, even decluttering and making your space a happy one, I love to declutter too and keeping my home fresh, clean and cosy. And as you always with a big smile, life is sometimes hard enough, but with a good fresh sweep, the sun comes shining in to our heads and hearts ❤
I love your idea to remove the wall and expand your kitchen/dining room space. The garden view is calming and the light is gorgeous. You could even build floor to ceiling storage on the wall currently holding the Hemnes storage. I too had the IKEA draw bottom fallout problem. I found a simple fix using plastic wedges I found on Amazon. Now my drawers are able to hold heavy items with no problem. They are called Sagging Drawer Bottom Support Brackets by GIFTED LUGAR. As always, I enjoy your videos and am really enjoying your book as well.
The room looks nice and tidy. I like your kitchen, to me it's big enough. I have a galley kitchen, tons of cupboards and drawers, not much counter space, but I don't cook, so it works for me. Interested in seeing the design for your kitchen vision.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like how the room looks. Your galley kitchen sounds efficient for your needs-it's great when a space works well even with specific limitations. I'm excited to share the design for my kitchen vision soon. Stay tuned! Best regards, Catherine
My favourite tool is my rechargeable screwdriver, it goes in my pocket and is powerful enough for most of my jobs. Well done for sorting your craft stash mine is a constant battle. My dad has just given me my great grandfather jeremiah's cupboard which was made for him on returning from WW1. It's in my she shed and now all of my odd bits go in jeremiah lol trouble is I need about 4 more to hold it all lol.
Hi Catherine I really enjoy all your videos this one gave me so many ideas and I relaxed and forgot about everything as I watched your video loved it hugs for your 2 pretty cats an you all have a fun safe week. ❤❤❤
Love it. I think that we have all fallen prey to the cheap furniture to get us by...but like you I have been removing and replacing those pieces for the past several years. You did great work getting the room readjusted for the season of life that you are in right now.
Thank you so much! It's definitely been a journey of refining and adapting over the years. Definitely one of the downsides to cheaper furniture, you end up paying more replacing it. Your kind words mean a lot-I'm glad you appreciate the effort I've put into readjusting the room for this season of life. It's all about making the space work best for now! Enjoy your weekend! Catherine
I made flat files out of 4 Alex drawer units. Stacked two on top of each other and connected them with metal plates. I also added small brackets under each bottom insert to make them stronger and put nice pulls on them. I love them for storage.
@swenger27a That's awesome! It sounds like you created a really sturdy and functional storage solution. I bet those nice pulls add a great touch to the drawers. Thanks for sharing your DIY project!
Hi Catherine, loved this video. Think the room will be a lovely space as part of your kitchen. It's nice to have a clear out and change up your space. Erm the hammer is my favourite tool 😂 my late dad's one is the one I use I do have a new one yet I prefer his lol . Have a lovely week xx ❤️
Wow, tackling a teenage son's bedroom sounds like quite the adventure! 😄 Thank you for watching tonight's video and for your kind words about the kitchen-it's definitely an exciting project. Sending you lots of positive vibes for your decluttering journey! Take care! Catherine
Thank you, @nicoladavies7831! 😊 When the hair is pulled back, you know it's time to get things done! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Best wishes to you and yours as well! x
Hi Theresa, Thank you so much for your kind words and for being a subscriber! I truly appreciate your love for the view and natural light from my office window. Your suggestion to leave it uncovered is thoughtful and I'll definitely consider it. It's wonderful to hear you enjoy the beauty of the surroundings as much as I do! Best regards, Catherine
Hi Catherine, I have so enjoyed your new book many congratulations. I’ve had a great time catching up on your videos too . Hope your mummy is keeping well . Have a lovely weekend. 💞🙋🏻♀️ Patricia x.
You made such a big step forward towards the next transformation of your space. Love how the room allows now to breath, and surely think more freely. The view of the garden is absolutely lovely!❤
Lovely video, watching someone else declutter always gives me inspiration. I always look for secondhand furniture in solid wood rather than by new. Can't wait to see what plans you have for the kitchen ❤
Thank you so much! You're absolutely right-it can be a bit chaotic during the organizing process, but the end result is always worth it. I appreciate your kind words and support! Have a great weekend! Catherine
Lovely inspiring video, my craft room desperately needs a sort out again! Looking forward to your next room adventure. It’s so good to hear you are getting your life balance in place .
My son and daughter-in-law installed Roman shades in their kitchen and family room with remote controls that raise and lower them. They are so nice. You might like that in your kitchen renovation.😊
Asking me what my favorite tool is is like asking which child I liked the best 😅. I have just about everything you can imagine because I've been building for years. You probably really need a paint cabinet which is metal. Then you can cover it with some of your beautiful wall paper. I know you can make it look fab you are talented.
I have a set of junior dresser and chest that got a 1x1 wood brace from font to back in the middle of the bottom of each drawer. They also have a groove at the back of the frame, coupling the brace, to keep the drawer from moving side to side. I don't know what it's called in woodworking, but it surely makes my furniture set sturdy in the past 3 decades (and survived 5 major house moves). ❤😊❤
Thank you for sharing your experience with your furniture set! That sounds like a clever design for ensuring sturdiness and longevity. It's always fascinating to hear about well-made furniture that stands the test of time, especially through multiple moves. Have a great weekend, Catherine
This morning I saw that you uploaded a new video and that became a motivation for me as I said I’ll treat myself with this after my shift ends❤removal of old drawers made difference really, and maybe it can make it feel wider if you remove the Kallax unit at the top of the cabinet too, so that wall space can get bigger and make it feel more spacious🐾
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment, @elifnurnergiz3184! ❤ I'm thrilled my video could be a motivating treat for you after your shift. That's a great suggestion about the Kallax unit-I'll definitely consider it to make the space feel more open. Thanks for the insight! 🐾😊
Oh! Now this is perfect timing as I was thinking of decluttering my bathroom yesterday then lost track of time. Now I have the inspo to start it today! Thanks. My fav tool - my drill for sure and my 10M tape measure, I’m always using that thing 😂
You have inspired me to get into my pile if stuff. Yep little bits of this and that.. rolled up outdoor carpet, jewelry making tools, winter clothes, tiny little dresses i know i won't wear, craft paper, extra tools people have given me, all that wood and tin roof I can't through out, on and on 😂
Love my tiny hammer 🔨. We're doing a basement clean out this 4th of July holiday! Like you, time to pass along old craft items that are taking up space.
I do like an open plan to an extent. My kitchen and sitting room are semi open plan which I think is the best of both worlds. But I can see why you want to open up your kitchen. That would make a lovely area but you will miss that separate room a little. Can I suggest you look for a vintage unit to replace the IKEA one in your office. Those things were made to last and they, well some of them, still look so stylish today. I'm forever hunting down mid century pieces for my home. It's cheaper than buying new but despite being close to 100 years old now those things are solid. No flimsy board drawer bases there, no siree
Hi Karen! 😄 I'm glad my crowbar antics brought a smile to your face! Storage ideas for small spaces can be a challenge, but they're also so rewarding when you find what works. Thank you for your kind words about my cats and the video-I appreciate your support! Take care! Catherine
What a lovely view out your window🤩 I’m considering full height sliding doors at the back of our house. The front windows directly overlook the street. No front garden or even a flower border. So hoping to connect more to the garden and move our main living room.
I have a giant crowbar that my husband bought me one summer many years ago. I've torn down an old barn, an old machine shed and now getting ready to start in on a dilapidated old farmhouse. My husband has been refurbishing his grandfathers old ski boat, and it has some rotted wood that need pryed up so it can be replaced. I offered him my crowbar but he said it was too big for such a small job. 😆 Works for me!
Hi Cindy! 😄 Wow, your giant crowbar sounds like a powerhouse! It's amazing all the projects it's been a part of-tearing down barns, sheds, and now a farmhouse! Your husband's refurbishing of the old ski boat sounds like a labor of love too. It's great that your crowbar is always ready for the next big task. Cheers to versatile tools and exciting projects! Best regards, Catherine
It really is a labor of love. My mother in law actually owns the boat now and she's getting ready to retire. She wants to first take it fishing and then pull the grandkids around behind it at the lake.
What a good feeling to clear out and get organized. But, what a pain in the behind.😂 That vine of your neighbors that grows over your fence is a menace.
It does feel great to get organised, even if it's a bit of a challenge! Regarding the ivy, I actually find it quite beneficial. It's fantastic for pollinators, especially honey bees, and serves as a great security deterrent. I prefer it to a plain white wall. Thanks for your thoughts! Enjoy your weekend, Catherine
What a brilliant idea to knock through from the kitchen…….Im excited to see the process and the results xxx I have a tiny 8’ x 4’ kitchen in my cottage so I do a lot in my nice big conservatory. I got loads of ideas from Instagram and Pinterest for using it as a kitchen/ dining room xx
Always love to watch how you manage to optimise your space, especially as someone with a looot of craft obsessions 🤭 and you’re right, the crowbar brings so much satisfaction 😂
Loved this tidy up Catherine I’d love to see you make Roman blinds I was thinking about it but haven’t got a clue were to start, love the mischievous cats 😂have a lovely weekend.😊
I have a small house also and find, as you have, that it is a constant struggle to keep the hobby supplies organized. Thanks for the inspiration to work on my craft space - again. I enjoyed watching your fur babies "help" you clean. So cute!
Hi Gracie! 🖐🏻🤚🏻 Your sweet comment made my day! I'm so glad my videos bring a smile to your face, and I'm thrilled you enjoy my kitty’s antics too. 😸 Thank you so much for watching and sharing your kind words! ☀️🌸🌼🐝
Your office is one of my favorite spaces - that Laura Ashley wallpaper. I have a Expedit (now Kallax) with drawers and an Alex for my studio (I make cards and journals) and they were purchased in 2009. I have not had the problems you have mentioned. Well done, on the organization and thanks for sharing the info about scammers. Cheeky thumbs up!
I find it very therapeutic watching someone else sorting and decluttering
It’s always more satisfying ❤️😍
My favorite tool is my hammer. Multiple guys have told me it’s a “framing hammer” and the things I use it for are totally wrong, but I could care less. It feels right in my hand. It does everything I want it to do. And, it could kill zombies in the zombie apocalypse no problem. 😊
I hereby name your hammer, the zombie apocalypse hammer 😂
Yup. I agree. Hammer. Next maybe my stud finder.
I’m so enjoying watching your cats ‘helping ’ you, they’re so cute! Glad you’re taking your life back, it seems being self employed means having to work much harder than ever and you’ve recognised that! X
It has its perks, like flexibility of your schedule, but I miss having the backup of a team and the social aspect of it ❤
Your kitchen is a nice size as it is, I think I'd rather have a craft room/office space like you have now.
Best regards,

There is nothing better than tackling and completing a declutter and reorganization project in the home!

Roman shades would look nice in there. So easy to pull up when you want. Decluttering? Yup, my first thought is clear storage bins with labels into the new storage area. Clearing your space makes it feel like it's easier to breathe.
Clear boxes are so handy!
I have two favorite tools a small screwdriver and my Hammer Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤❤😊😊
And those are probably the most used too x
Great job organizing! It always feel so good to clean out!
Your craft room now feels very relaxing 😌 I love how it turned out after this declutter 🥰
Thank you so much! 😊 I'm thrilled to hear that you find my craft room relaxing. It was a lot of work, but seeing it all come together and reading comments like yours makes it all worth it. 🥰✨ Happy crafting!
Yes, rooms will look amazing opened up.
Still lovely as is.
You are a real inspiration Catherine.
Blessings to you 🙏
I just love your house, and garden, you are always looking everything on the bright side, even decluttering and making your space a happy one, I love to declutter too and keeping my home fresh, clean and cosy. And as you always with a big smile, life is sometimes hard enough, but with a good fresh sweep, the sun comes shining in to our heads and hearts ❤
aww, thank you for the kind words x

I love your idea to remove the wall and expand your kitchen/dining room space. The garden view is calming and the light is gorgeous. You could even build floor to ceiling storage on the wall currently holding the Hemnes storage. I too had the IKEA draw bottom fallout problem. I found a simple fix using plastic wedges I found on Amazon. Now my drawers are able to hold heavy items with no problem. They are called Sagging Drawer Bottom Support Brackets by GIFTED LUGAR. As always, I enjoy your videos and am really enjoying your book as well.
Thanks for sharing, this will be really helpful
The room looks nice and tidy. I like your kitchen, to me it's big enough. I have a galley kitchen, tons of cupboards and drawers, not much counter space, but I don't cook, so it works for me. Interested in seeing the design for your kitchen vision.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like how the room looks. Your galley kitchen sounds efficient for your needs-it's great when a space works well even with specific limitations. I'm excited to share the design for my kitchen vision soon. Stay tuned!
Best regards,
Catherine
I'm so glad you found it relaxing! X
That window you cleaned has the most beautiful view of your back garden - I totally see double doors there.
Thank you! The view is my fave x
I have a little crowbar too! It hasn't seen much use though but i do find that having lots off different tools tends to be useful
I'm happy to hear you go all in with craft supplies because I do the same thing..
I have de-cluttered my teenage sons bedroom this evening - lordy lord, massive task😮 Lovely video tonight & exciting times with your kitchen 👍🏼🥰
Wow, tackling a teenage son's bedroom sounds like quite the adventure! 😄 Thank you for watching tonight's video and for your kind words about the kitchen-it's definitely an exciting project. Sending you lots of positive vibes for your decluttering journey!
Take care!
Catherine
Love the plan of expanding your kitchen👌
Love the garden Catherine and can hardly wait to see the new kitchen
Aww when that hair gets snatched back we mean cleaning business!!Looking fresh. Best wishes to you and yours x
Thank you, @nicoladavies7831! 😊 When the hair is pulled back, you know it's time to get things done! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Best wishes to you and yours as well! x
I love the view and light from your office window and would leave it uncovered since it’s in the back of your home. There’s so much beauty there. ❤
Hi Theresa,
Thank you so much for your kind words and for being a subscriber! I truly appreciate your love for the view and natural light from my office window. Your suggestion to leave it uncovered is thoughtful and I'll definitely consider it. It's wonderful to hear you enjoy the beauty of the surroundings as much as I do!
Best regards,
Catherine
Always enjoy your videos? It's so beautiful looking out that wind.
Hello, sometimes Instagram is a bit buggy and that happens. Unfollow and re follow and see if it opens the comments for you x
Hi Catherine, I have so enjoyed your new book many congratulations. I’ve had a great time catching up on your videos too . Hope your mummy is keeping well . Have a lovely weekend. 💞🙋🏻♀️ Patricia x.
Gorgeous kitties!! 🐱💖🐱💖🐱💖
You made such a big step forward towards the next transformation of your space. Love how the room allows now to breath, and surely think more freely. The view of the garden is absolutely lovely!❤
Thank you so much, the view of the garden is my favourite
Can’t wait to see the kitchen upgrade, you’ve been talking about it for a while now, you have your home looking so good!
Oh Catherine I really need to clean my windows, if it would ever stop bleeding rainin 😮
I don’t know how you get anything done with those 2 adorable helpers 😻😻
Lovely video, watching someone else declutter always gives me inspiration. I always look for secondhand furniture in solid wood rather than by new. Can't wait to see what plans you have for the kitchen ❤
My skill saw, my weed wacker and my battery operated drill - are my most used tools and my favorites.
Very handy! Thanks for stopping by Helen ❤️
Helpful kittens 💜 I really need to declutter 🙈
My favorite tool is the drill, you are so funny! I love watching your videos!
Ugggggh love your quality inspectors!!! They’re sooo cute!!! And helpful!!!
Nothing like a good clear out. Definitely good for calming your brain. Lovely video 😍😍
Your room looks fantastic! I know what you mean about areas looking worse before better. It always feels better when organized.
My pick ax is my favorite tool, and my flat nose shovel
Have a great weekend,
Catherine
Love a good clean up videa, will be decluttering tomorrow Catherine and entered your secret competition 🤞🥰
Love your little cottage 🤗
Thank you! 😊
Oh! Now this is perfect timing as I was thinking of decluttering my bathroom yesterday then lost track of time. Now I have the inspo to start it today! Thanks. My fav tool - my drill for sure and my 10M tape measure, I’m always using that thing 😂
Hi Catherine, love a good sort out.
The view from the window is beautiful, no wonder Bán & Beag love sitting on your desk. Have a lovely weekend.
It’s one of their favourite spots 🥹
You have inspired me to get into my pile if stuff. Yep little bits of this and that.. rolled up outdoor carpet, jewelry making tools, winter clothes, tiny little dresses i know i won't wear, craft paper, extra tools people have given me, all that wood and tin roof I can't through out, on and on 😂
Oohh you got this! Happy organising 🙌😍
I am the same…all in. And then the supplies sit there. 🫤
Love my tiny hammer 🔨. We're doing a basement clean out this 4th of July holiday! Like you, time to pass along old craft items that are taking up space.
That will be a wonderful addition to your kitchen 😊
I do like an open plan to an extent. My kitchen and sitting room are semi open plan which I think is the best of both worlds. But I can see why you want to open up your kitchen. That would make a lovely area but you will miss that separate room a little. Can I suggest you look for a vintage unit to replace the IKEA one in your office. Those things were made to last and they, well some of them, still look so stylish today. I'm forever hunting down mid century pieces for my home. It's cheaper than buying new but despite being close to 100 years old now those things are solid. No flimsy board drawer bases there, no siree
I agree with everything you said. ❤️
You cracked me up with your crowbar 😂😂😂 im always looking for more storage ideas for my miniscule house. Lovely cats and lovely video ❤
Hi Karen! 😄
I'm glad my crowbar antics brought a smile to your face!
Sounds great! Love the idea of bridging the garden into your home
Hi Cindy! 😄
Wow, your giant crowbar sounds like a powerhouse!
Best regards,
Catherine
Enjoy your weekend,
Catherine

What a brilliant idea to knock through from the kitchen…….Im excited to see the process and the results xxx I have a tiny 8’ x 4’ kitchen in my cottage so I do a lot in my nice big conservatory. I got loads of ideas from Instagram and Pinterest for using it as a kitchen/ dining room xx
Pinterest is amazing for ideas for small spaces too ❤️ your kitchen sounds lovely!
Always love to watch how you manage to optimise your space, especially as someone with a looot of craft obsessions 🤭 and you’re right, the crowbar brings so much satisfaction 😂
Why do we love collecting hobbies so much 🤣
Good job! I’m amazed it took so much time, after all you had so much help from the cats 😉well done lt looks great and some great tips
They’re there for the moral support 🤣🥹
Loved this tidy up Catherine I’d love to see you make Roman blinds I was thinking about it but haven’t got a clue were to start, love the mischievous cats 😂have a lovely weekend.😊
Aparently they are easier to make than you think, my friend made some, but il have to see lol x
Catherine you sure made a big difference. The office is more open and better energy flow.
👍👍❤❤
Yes, the energy definitely feels lighter x ❤
I have a small house also and find, as you have, that it is a constant struggle to keep the hobby supplies organized. Thanks for the inspiration to work on my craft space - again. I enjoyed watching your fur babies "help" you clean. So cute!
It can be so hard, but! I often think, more storage more stuff 😁 so it’s nice to have to regularly think out as it keeps us on top of it ❤
Hi🖐🏻🤚🏻 Your videos always make me smile! I adore the kitty’s antics! TFS☀️🌸🌼🐝…. Gracie
Hi Gracie! 🖐🏻🤚🏻 Your sweet comment made my day! I'm so glad my videos bring a smile to your face, and I'm thrilled you enjoy my kitty’s antics too. 😸 Thank you so much for watching and sharing your kind words! ☀️🌸🌼🐝

I love your kitchen just the way it is!

Wish i had ur energy Catherine
My favorite tool is my Makita cordless driver drill. I use this a couple of times every week.
Makita is a great brand too!❤
your kitchen is so cute and cosy ❤
Your office is one of my favorite spaces - that Laura Ashley wallpaper. I have a Expedit (now Kallax) with drawers and an Alex for my studio (I make cards and journals) and they were purchased in 2009. I have not had the problems you have mentioned. Well done, on the organization and thanks for sharing the info about scammers. Cheeky thumbs up!
