Hello Cameron, my name is Dan from Michigan 58. I fell in love two years ago with RC rock crawling 15 trucks later lol my grand kids think I’m the greatest. But anyway found your channel through West Desert Wheeler. And I just wanted to say hi.
Just found your new channel! I bought my first Axial, its a Capra with standard steering and it goes places beyond my skill level, even in it's stock form! :) I thought it would be a good addition to the collection of TRX-4s that I've been putting together and I'm sure glad I selected Axial! Now I'm really looking at their Gladiator! You have a natural ability for making good RC videos, so I think that your friends encouraging you to do this was a good idea! I enjoy your style and believe that you will grow and grow... I'm new to RC and have been watching RC videos for about 8 years now, just getting into RC early this year. Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge and making this channel! I subscribed! :)
Great rig. I have a Gatekeeper but was thinking about getting either a Capra or Ryft. Love that crawling area. Wish I had a place like that to go. All concrete and asphalt around here.
Thank you, I'm very fortunate to have some amazing terrain locally. New element transmission and artful dodgers lcg trans kit just installed. Expect some more videos of this build testing the new performance upgrade.
They do make an optional belly pan for the Capra that is metal and flat to replace the plastic one.. You do gain about 1/4 inch of clearance. Great crawling. At some point I will get another Capra with straight axles and the dig function. I can see the difference the straight axles make climbing. Thanks for sharing.
I'll be sure to share that in the next video. Capra links in the front, scx10ii high clearance links in the rear. Soa on element axle, element stealth x trans with artful dodgers lcg trans kit in it now.
@@DesertRockCrawler thing is killer! West desert wheeler makes a 3 link for the capra to rid of the soa. Was thinking more ar60 to keep the width and to leave it 4 link. Or enduro with 3 link. Idk yet. Every straigh lt axle ive seen seems to slay some lines
Awesome work man! You mentioned the Element axles, the aftermarket trans and links but what skid are you using? Is it the stock Capra skid? Subbed for more!
How much did this cost for the for this build not including axles electronics tires etc so basically how much did it cost to get this rig running with this cage?
So let me mention I'm trying to do this conversion from an Axial Bomber. Ok I could maybe ask my dad to 3d print me a skid. So, I have axles should I buy links, prebuilt cage and a transmission or could I buy the Vader products 3 gear trans adapter and use the Bomber transmission? What transmission are you using Stealth X I assume? @@DesertRockCrawler
I'm assuming you've swapped the transmission out for an SCX10 II transmission? As the stock Capra transmission would be way too fast with straight axles?
Your crawls awesome, not sure it can be called a Capra. Seems the only thing Capra on it is the cage. None the less you did build a very capable rock crawler.

Thanks for the kind words. It's an awesome hobby

Thanks for following and the positive vibes.
Awesome video, my friend!! The ending got me good 😂 but that’s quite the capable rig you’ve put together there!
HI Alec just wanted to let you know that I've received BOTH prize my friend. I'm VERY HAPPY THANKYOU 🇺🇲🕊️✌🏼🤟🏼

you are quite the crawler. nice rig. wish i had a spot like that near me.
Thank you. I'm fortunate enough to have quite a bit of wheelin time in
Eyyyy I just found your channel. Always cool to see another local posting videos! Let me know when you get that reaper done!
It's done. I'll be ready this weekend
Your buggy climbs awesome! Beauty spot you have there to crawl

Nice video. I really like it! Greetings from Germany! 💪🏻
Great video dude! Definitely looking forward to more!
What angle is that first steep climb? I know video and picture doesn’t do justice. What motor are you running?
That first climb is awesome rig nice job 🔥🔥🔥😎👍
Dang mi big bro that is an amazing rig awesome build freakin SWEEEEEEET!!! Crawlin!!!
Luv the vid!!!👍👊🔥💯🍻
Great video and crawling, good work. Love the area, Capra doing a good job also. Subbed and liked keep up the good work. Thanks
BTW what tires & foams, thanks again.
Thanks. Proline bfg krawlers in predator compound with proline dual stage foams.
In the process of doing this but with the Axial straight axles. Seems like your rig is really capable. Thanks for posting 💥💯🤙

This is a flat skid. I'd rather have plastic. Metal gets hung up on rocks.
Awesome video! Subbed and liked. How'd you get gearing that low on straight axles..
Scx10ii style trans. Gearing is too high using the capra trans
Stoked to see your content brother
wow nice can't wait for my flat skid to come and run my ar44s now
Which links did you use? Did you stick with capra 4 link and just soa the element axle? Would love to see an in depth overview of this rig! 😁
I'll be sure to share that in the next video. Capra links in the front, scx10ii high clearance links in the rear. Soa on element axle, element stealth x trans with artful dodgers lcg trans kit in it now.

Great video thanks for sharing Sir 🇬🇧🇺🇲🕊️✌🏼🤟🏼

I 3d printed the scx10ii trans pattern flat capra skid. Thank you. New video coming next Monday/Tuesday
Well, I’m finishing up your video and that thing is impressive How it climbs. Is that rear axle extended out? It just looks long rig .
13" wheelbase. Stock capra is 12.5"wb. Longer wheelbase increases incline climbing degree
what tires are those ?

Cage was $35 new and the body panels were $36 new. Skid I 3d printed
How did you get the screws for the cage i looked on ebay and saw some prebuilt for about 45$ thoughts on that?@@DesertRockCrawler
@MXman2011 I have a bin full of hardware. If you don't then the assembled one would be a good call.

Also what links are you using and can you send me a link to the skid you 3d printed or did you design it or what did you do for 3d printing that?
I'm assuming you've swapped the transmission out for an SCX10 II transmission? As the stock Capra transmission would be way too fast with straight axles?
Correct. It was a hot racing 3 gear trans
