Use this step-by-step tutorial video alongside your Owner's Manual to correctly assemble the new front mounted ZTR dethatcher by Brinly.
Its patent-pending one-bolt design allows it to be mounted to a wide variety of zero turn makes and models in under a minute by clamping firmly around the wheel casters on the mower. Its position in front of the machine gives the operator greater control and articulation, allowing the tines access to corners and other tight spaces where a tow-behind unit simply couldn’t reach. Placing the dethatcher forward of the mowing deck also provides a significant increase in efficiency by enabling pickup of thatch and either collection or mulching in a single pass. What would normally require one pass to extract the thatch and another to collect or mulch it can now be accomplished in half the time.

When I try to screw in the locknuts I'm unable to go all the way. They seem to have a stopper on them.

Some lock nuts have an insert in them, that may be what you are referring to. They can take a little more effort to get on then you would think.
