Thanks for watching.
After all, 5K gives the best picture unquestionably, some people write such farma that shock, people no longer distinguish between what is natural and what is not.
Thanks for this video, it saves me from having to do one :^)
My takeaway: The "Medium" sharpness setting appears to be sharper in 4K vs. 5.3K. Initially, it appears that the 4K sample is providing more detail, but when zoomed in to 400%, this is clearly not the case. 5.3K on Medium sharpness appears soft, but not in a bad way. We might be seeing a more realistic or even "film-like" image, vs. 4K. Zooming in 400% clearly shows that 5.3K is superior, with less noise.
So, Medium Sharpness in 4K = minor oversharpening, while MS in 5.3K is neutral, or a bit in the other direction, a little soft. I Prefer the 5.3K, but it's not a night & day difference.
Flat colours seem dull, but again, we might be seeing a more realistic image, and it only appears dull because we've been seeing too many over-saturated stills and videos over the years.
Thanks for the comment. It appears that the 4K footage is compensated by over sharpening. This makes it look un-natural and more noisy. I guess my next test maybe to try 5.3K with low sharpness to see if it will reduce the noise. I can later add a little sharpness in post.
why does 5k look out of focus?
Nice 👍
I like the 5k look much more. Same happens with my G9, the 4k footage lacks detail, but the 5k looks awesome. I use sharpness on low setting and do all color correction myself.
It is exactly as you write 👌
What do you use for color correction? Photoshop?
@@2infnbynd Davinci Resolve :)
Why your description cannot slide down?
I HARDLY SEE THE DIFFERENCE. IT LOOK THE SAME.....
OK!
Great vid. I subbed
4:00 they disappeared 💀💀😭😭
Nice😊
If I shoot a personal vlog outside to upload to UA-cam, which 4K mode should I shoot in? 30 or 60 or 120 fps?
I would suggest not bothering with 120 fps, as youtube doesn’t support anything higher than 60 fps
Other than that, it depends on if you want to reduce motion blur (if you want to cut down on motion blur, then go for 60 fps, otherwise, 30fps would be fine, although some people can apparently see the differences between 30 and 60 fps, as i have seen people complain when footage hasn’t been shot in 60fps)
60p much smoother than 30p when you pan.
@@COCOTEIER what do u mean by PAN ?
@@ClydeasterzVlogzmoving the camera from side to side.
Perhaps Bad settings
Bad quality for both. I prefer the go pro 12
Thank you
Not sure why but my GoPro 11 5.3K medium sharpness is sharper than yours...
4K so much better quality than 5.3K. Strange. Thank you.
I don’t know what this video was originally uploaded as, but if it was uploaded as 5.3k (or anything higher than 4k but not as high as 8k), then UA-cam would have processed it as a 4k video (UA-cam dropped support for resolutions between 4k and 8k in 2022)
@@pineappleroad Have the same problem.
@@pineappleroad A friend who works with camera technic explainted me:
The sensor size even from a full frame camera is not big enough to record a true 4k picture. So because of that, the constructors put the pixels on the sensor too tight togehter, so because of that, they distorb each other. So in fact you will have a worse quality, as you would yous a few steps lower. Because if you don´t use 5,3k on GoPro11 but 4k instead, there aren´t all pixels activated. So the image quality will be better in 4k or maybe even 2,7k.
I don´t use 5,3k anymore. It´s just a face function. Like the same hype years ago with more and more and more Megapixels (which made the image qualiy during the years also worse at a lot of pocet/digital cameras).
@@uwepierre Take a GoPro camera and check it out for yourself and you'll see that 5k is better.
@@MrPavlov18It’s not. Due to pixel binning, 4K is actually the winner.
lol why 4k and 5k? 2.7k is the best in terms of quality and least amount of noise
I seriously doubt 2.7K is "best" - please back up your comment. Do you have a Hero 11?
@@torontolistener5507 yes i tested everything. 2.7k has more details on fabric or tiles or any material than 4k or 5.3k. also less noise when youre filming things that are black or dark.
@@kllaskas810 What settings do you use, for Sharpness, etc.? 2.7K is less versatile, not allowing 30 or 24 fps.
4k is the best because 5.3k is not supported from a lot of device . Also ios doesn’t see correctly. So at the moment 4k 60fps is the best
@@riccardonurcis UA-cam doesn’t support resolutions between 4k and 8k anymore (as of 2022), so i think youtube processed this video as a 4k video
