I remember having Conch Fritters in Jacksonville, Florida but they were Puerto Rican style, I highly recommend them to ANY seafood lovers, or even if you like Fish and Chips- CONCH is delicious!!!
I love a good oxtail stew. In Filipino cuisine, it's called kare kare and it's a peanut sauce based oxtail stew with lots of veggies and served with rice. 😋

Also, a big LOL to "crack" conch. I was thinking the name was because it was because it was so delicious that it was as addictive as, not because they had to crack the shell!!! HAHAHA!!!!!
"Cracked conch" in the Bahamas is traditionally chopped pieces of conch tenderized and dipped in batter and fried. Unlike conch fritters which are dough balls with conch pieces filled in and then fried, Cracked Conch is just lightly battered conch fried up. In fact, in the Bahamas anything that is referred to as "cracked" is that protein lightly battered and fried. Like "Cracked chicken" is fried chicken. I'm here in Nassau now and am loving the various conch dishes.
I stopped eating conch as it is being over fished especially in the Bahamas and will soon be endangered. We need to let it start to thrive again so it can be enjoyed for generations to come

I just came back from a cruise from the Bahamas. The cruise was great the conch not so much.
