Self shame has got to be one of the most difficult things to let go of. You figure if you shame and hate yourself enough in this life for the bad things you've done or continue to do, then maybe God won't hard core punish you, like you know you deserve. I know this isn't God's intentions for us but I still believe it to be true. One other thing, I go through periods where my faith and love for God is strong, then I go through periods where I can barely feel him and question his very existence. My wishy/washy ways have got to anger him to a point where he just looks at me and confesses that I'm not the believer he is looking for. Anyone else feel that way?

I just watched this season again and I keep rewinding this part because I am going through something untenable to me and my human thinking is so dark. I have to more than Hope but BELIEVE that He accepts me in spite of my flawed and human frailty. This helps.
I have watched The Chosen 4 times. Amazing work Dallas, crew and actors have done. I experienced this Easter in a different way. A deeper way and I believe it is because of The Chosen.

Among these names, which is the traditional spelling: Jesus, Iesus, Iesous, Isa, Hey-zeus in Spanish, and Joshua in English? Historians have made it clear that Christ has never been known as “Jesus” in His lifetime (Ernest Renan, The Life of Jesus, p. 90). If by “traditional” one means according to “the traditions of men”, which defies the revelation of God, then “traditional” may be correct. We have been warned of the traditions of men by the Savior Himself! “Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?” He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men...” He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition” (Mark 7:5-9). Christ has a revealed name (Matthew 1:21; Luke 1:31). According to revelation and history, it is not the name “Jesus “Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem” (Luke 24:46-47). The name of salvation according to the Bible is YAH according to the prophet of God, Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation’” (Isaiah 12:2 NKJV). YAH means the “I AM” revealed to Moses (Exodus 3:13-14). Christ told the people that He is YAH, the “I AM” (John 8:58). YAH is the name which is above every name, and the apostle Paul heard the name YAH in the Savior’s name in Hebrew on the road to Damascus (Acts 26:14-15). We know that Paul did not hear the name Jesus, a name that has only existed in its present form since the 17th century. Paul acknowledged that Christ has the name YAH which is above every name (Philippians 2:9-11). Behold the only name of the Savior, YAHSHUA. YAH meaning I AM, and Shua, “my help,” as in Salvation. Jesus, Iesus, and Iesous are counterfeits. To reject the revealed name of Christ is to be condemned already (John 3:18). Please, I say lovingly, take this to heart all you leaders (Malachi 2:1-2)!
