Yup. And If You’re RUNNING He has the experience to know where Your Running and Cut You off. That can’t be the strategy.
Reach, Youth, and Proficiency may keep Him from being embarrassed.
But if Mike is bringing His surgical Expertise to just One of the First 3 Rounds…nothing anyone can do to stop Him.
He’ll Hit what He sees, and set You up for More damage.
Jake better have a hell of a jab, and be able to slip what’s coming inside, up close, and personal.

Ur brain can push ur body further than what the body would want you to allow it to. Mike has a strong mind. One of the biggest disadvantages most athletes face as they get older is their body physically deteriorating gets compounded over time in sports especially football or basketball. But the nature of Boxing is different in that in is spread out. The other major issue is the drop in hormones like testosterone inhibits your ability to recover and maintain muscle mass however with the right medical treatment this could be bridged. Tyson maybe like that 1960s corvette that has been in a garage for 55 years and has less than 50 thousand miles on it.

Of course elite atheletes would degrade sooner, but those thinking Mike is pasted it will be in for a rude awakaning. Of course stamina is the problem and 3 minutes is a long time to box, also Mikes style caused him huge stamina issues later in his career. So I see Mike winning but he has to take care of business quickly.

And Mr. Tyson has taken the shots of the toughest and greatest and still rose to the top because of his mindset. Mr. Tyson strikes with devastating force from his Mr. powerful legs - his most important weapons- which will be a solid foundation for the impact and recoil of his impeccable striking deep and seated He is a Heat-Seeking-Missile pursuing his target Jake who is under prepared and incapable of deterring this violent and vicious encounter in close combat and will be smothered and will wither under the crushing onslaught of sledgehammer fists which will cause the demise of Jake's amateur career. Mr. Mike Tyson has a lion's heart forged through numerous kill-Or-Be-Killed battles on the dangerous New York City streets as a streetfighter. He will bite off your ear at the very least and deliver much more punishment to destroy the threat. There are no rules on the street. Fighting in the ring does not compare with street fighting. NO Referee to stop it. Pure animal survival. Those personal experiences develop a heightened level of brutality which, when unleased does increase power substantially.for destruction of the enemy. Jake does not have that awareness and those experiences available in his tool box to bring to the action.

The first time I saw Mike Tyson in person I was around 29 years old, 6' 4", maybe 230 lbs, NFL-QB athletic, and I was walking toward an exit in the Forum Club after a Laker game to re-enter the arena. Walking toward me and the same doorway, heading in the Forum Club was a figure. The figure reached the threshold about 6 steps before me BLOCKING ALL LIGHT COMING FROM THE ARENA THROUGH THE DOORWAY and then the light hit him...Mike F-Ing Tyson!
I say, "How are ya', Champ?", and extended my hand to shake his. Without hesitation and with great warmth he extended his hand and said, "Fantastic, how is your day?"
Mike could not have been nicer as we shared pleasantries for a minute or two, I introduced myself and then exited into the arena as was my plan.
We both gave each other a friendly nod when we caught each other's eye later that night inside the Forum Club.
As fate would have it Mike and I began to run into each other on a crazy basis in L.A. Evidently, we both grew fond of the same "backroads" to drive our cars, he in his Lamborghini and me in my Porsche. We became recognized, respected friendly acquaintances.
This is the point of my story....
Mike's personality never changed with me. He was always warm, interested, interesting, dry sense of humor, as nice as could be. Still, there was not one moment I didn't feel like he could kill me with the effort of a lane change. His physical presence was majestic, his aura palpable.
This was over 30 years ago and I gave Jake Paul a 0% chance against Tyson before seeing the workout video. Mike's body is strong, his mind is stronger.

Using mikes age isn’t a great factor to determine his ability. People forget Mikes career wasn’t very long and a majority of it was him ending people pretty quickly. He doesn’t have the wear and tear like many long term boxers have. He also has a bunch of money and the ability to use all the latest technology. Mikes also smaller but hits like he’s way bigger. So he’s much faster for a guy who hits like a truck.

I'm honestly shocked that anyone believes JP even stands a chance. I think people forget that one of the reasons Tyson was so great was not just his physical strength, but his mental strength. Iron Mike has an iron will. He believes he's a lion. When he gets in that head space, he truly is invincible. You dont lose that. It's a joke. Paul is going to see heaven for a minute. Hopefully only a minute.

If, and this is a big if, Paul can survive Tyson's first 30 seconds, we have a fight, but if Paul can't hit Tyson hard enough to make him flinch, it will go Mike's way for certain.

I hope this is a great fight and that Tyson wins. I expect him to show up better than he's looked since the late '80s. Iron Mike isn't going to walk out to the ring in a huge venue like AT&T Stadium...with the world watching on Netflix...and be anything other than Mike Tyson Prime. Paul had better be ready. Having said that, if Paul does pull off a win against Mike Tyson and on THAT stage then he'd better go on to unify the heavyweight titles and become a legitimate face of boxing like we used to have in the 70s and 80s. For a while now I've wondered where are the Alis, the Fraziers, the Foremans, the Ken Nortons and even the Larry Holmeses of this era. Boxing has gone the route of MLB and NBA both of which were supremely popular in the past but you couldn't pay me to watch it now. So, Paul, I'm rooting against you in this fight but for you moving forward if you win. Although I find you abrasive, maybe you've got what it takes to bring boxing back. But you have to get past Tyson.

People raise concerns about Mike’s physical health due to age, and while 58 is old it’s not like he is grandpa old. He looks better than most 30 and even 20 year old lads.
I am not concerned about Mike, I am concerned about Jake. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Mike probably won’t go all in like he used to. He will observe and feel Jake out and time his attacks to conserve energy, while keep putting pressure moving forward.
Just look at the Roy Jones fight and see how Mike constantly was being clinched by Roy in order to avoid Mike’s devastating knockout power, even at his age.

  • @MarcPlaysDrums
    @MarcPlaysDrums Місяць тому

The problem with Paul’s view is that for men, the very first thing you lose is stamina, then speed and the very last thing to go is power/strength. And as a 58 year old I gotta say that I found that it’s actually true(it’s actually freaky and kinda scary like your old muscles can still push weight no problem but you’re afraid of tearing a muscle). Old man strength is real and that strength translates into power for fighters. In short, Mike still got the power to knock the liver out of you gut with one body shot.

Some of these comments are old. I thought the fight had been upgraded from an exhibition fight to a real fight? That means 8 oz gloves which firmly gives the advantage to Mike even if he only has a small window to use his power in each round, I still back him to beat Jake. Jake's best chance of course is riding out the early rounds, stay light on his feat and move around alot. Force Mike to chase and jab to keep him away. I don't think it will make a difference however.

His chin stays in the same place for far too long at a time to last against Tyson. The run and gun strategy seems the best option for him IMO.

Two physical problems with Tyson, besides his age: his feet are slow, and if you look at his neck, he's got a thin neck (relatively speaking). Makes sense, he's close to 60 after all.
Foot quickness is incredibly important to Mike's fighting style, and Jake will be able to pop out of Tyson's reach with ease. All Jake has to do is jab and keep his distance and rely on his youthful endurance 'till Tyson runs out of steam, then finish him. Mike probably only has 2 or 3 rounds in him before he's gassed.
As for the neck problem I mentioned; without big supporting muscles in the neck, Tyson won't be able to withstand many, if any, haymakers to the face, which is what Jake is known for. Compare pictures of prime Mike to current Mike and pay attention to the size of his neck to see what I mean.
I think Mike is stupid to agree to this fight, and Jake is horrible AND stupid for doing this, but I'm rooting for Mike. I'm hoping for Mike to get in tight with Jake and rip him apart in the 1st round , which is probably Mike's best strategy at winning this. End it early, end it fast, just like he used to do, one last time.
