I just scored a used high path on Fb marketplace after watching this yesterday, its going to be my daily driver to replace my outerspace living. rode my Korua pencil most days last year, directional is the what all the cool guys ride these days
Yeah that's a great size for your specs and yes it is a great all around board. If you go to thegoodride.com/snowboard-reviews/?mens=1 you will see it's a Good Ride All Mtn Favorite.
Yeah this or the 159 depending on what you ride now. If you like em a little bigger but still in the realm of control go 159 or if you want quicker turning/better control when it gets uneven or in tight spots go 159. Or hit me here to give me the info I need to help you much better and make sure this is the right choice. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/
nice review! just ordered this in 159. I'm around your same specs, 6' 185lb, 10.5 shoe. Should I consider going to 162? Been reading flex is pretty soft. Mostly ride groomers, some pow, rarely park. thnx!
Thanks! The 159 should be good with 10.5 boots and the 162 a little better. I think it comes down to what you ride now and if you wan more control with the 159 in all conditions or a little more speed/float with the 162.
Two massively different boards. If you like to go fast and want a little more forgiving ride go Crosscut. If you want a softer more playful turny all mountain board go High Path.
How do you compare high path with capita mercury for an early intermediate. Which one will be more suitable for carving, side hit, Powder and easy to turn. Thanks.
High Path carves harder than the Mercury and has more pop on an ollie. The Mercury is more forgiving and floats better centered in pow. The High Path floats better when you set it back. If you are an early intermediate I'd probably go Mercury just because it's more forgiving. Or if you want real advice hit me up here so I can help you properly. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/

Hi Guys, I am 5’11’’,190 lb, 12 US thinking bout buying 159. Will it be good size?
159w would work but not the 159 standard width. That would probably get you hurt with excessive toe/heel drag.
You reckon 156 would be the call for 180 x 8.5 boots?
height?
6’0
