They could’ve (and should’ve) ended the game right here. Full circle: a fight in space as her other versions assist her in the grand finale. This version of the song literally screams “this opening harmony means it’s the end and Bayonetta won”
@@lowhp_comic like literally I would’ve take Enzo suddenly summoning a demon before I would’ve taken the finale they gave us. It just felt too forced, like give Bayonetta struggle, but don’t wash away 2 games of steady built up power, Bayonetta getting taken down by Tilda Swinton? No, I don’t think so, it just seemed too forced and they have acknowledged “fixing” that in the next game, which probably means Viola is gonna be contractually bound to Cereza or Rodin will turn her soul into a main weapon for Viola
@@tmmaston that’s what I think they’re gonna try to do, cuz ultimately Cereza is dead, they did that and can’t go back without doing another multiverse story and they can leave that alone. Bayonetta becoming Viola’s contracted demon sounds like the right move to make tbh

This is beautiful. As a fan of the series and knowing it was the last game, I shed a few tears during the cutscene. Seeing all the Bayonettas working together flawlessly, the music, and even the reused voice clips worked well to create a spectacular moment
Game really should've ended here... I can't take the fact that Viola is now "Bayonetta"... for real man, this looks like DMC 3 to 4 all over again, but it's as if they killed Dante. I also hope Bayonetta 4 doesn't become a DMC for God's sake.
Death is meaningless in this franchise. You’d think after 2 games of implied/actual instances of cheating death, fans would not take the ending at face value. I don’t doubt for a second of some grand return. They’ll be back.
Dante already is now beta male in this franchise because of great Nero. Viola at least is shown to be clumsy weak witch who is nothing compared to her mother.
@@jayguero2123 Not really, otherwise there would be more Witches in the living world. And in B2 Bayonetta was on a time limit to save Jeanne, otherwise she really would have been the last Umbran witch

Lyrics for anyone as lost as I am : I stand at your gate and the song that I sing is of moonlight I stand and I wait for the touch of your hand in the June night The roses are sighing a Moonlight Serenade The stars are aglow and tonight how their light sets me dreaming My love, do you know that your eyes are like stars brightly beaming? The choir part I assume is part of the "event" music the game has, like for example you had tracks in 1 that were for example "EV31-1 Jeanne - To The Heavens I" (you can check it on spotify), these are usually very short and not a theme of their own, more like a jingle of sorts
@@yorigalvan6891 Interesting. Once the soundtrack officially releases in Japan, I wonder if it will legally fall in as a “remix” of Moonlight Serenade or if it will be considered a completely original piece to the game.
