This encounter between these two changed me. I am a Christian already. But there was something about the exchange between them...my heart burned as I listened to them. I felt like I was literally watching the Word become flesh between these two. So awesome.

I feel. The holy spirit was so present in this convo. It made me feel some kind of way.
Steven is like a modern day Paul the Apostle. I think its his ability to continually submit to the will of God and to speak from a place of complete trust. Like if he thought God wanted him to say something, he would submit to God any embarrassment from sounding stupid and just speak without any insecurity. Super good example of what it means to follow Jesus

STEVEN FURTICK!!!!!!! I'm sitting here in the library (where I should be studying Anatomy and Physiology) watching this short film and I'm grateful. I'm grateful for your ministry and for the calling on your life. Amazing, amazing, amazing!!!!. Just so much truth, WORD, inspiration and authenticity. I pray that God continues to bless you, your family and your ministry.

I am currently enrolled in graduate school for counseling and I shared this video with my professor. She enjoyed it so much as it applies to what we have been discussing regarding multicultural counseling that she posted it for each of her classes to preview. I could not have been more proud of my pastor for stepping out of his corner!

The gospel of Jesus Christ is intimidating to people and people will be offended but the goal is not the change people it’s to share the news and truth of God. It’s not about changing people but having dialogue and challenging thoughts. It is the holy spirits conviction to work through the heart of the person or people.

I like when asked, by S/F"would you go through that again? Your kids?" But Charl. says "no, I went through that, so my kids wont have to." Jesus died took our sins, so we dont have to go through that.🤔☺ its amazing how much we may think differently especially when it comes to our children. This was such a good lesson! We judge before we know a person, but God, the Father wouldnt want it that way. Its about relationships- connecting with others we offend overlook- Thank you, Pastor Steven- glory to God. ❤

Something that hit me hard was when Steve said.. " The only evil im worried about is mine, I dont trust myself".I Can see why we need to be so close to GOD sometimes cuz he reminds Us who we really are when all that evil inside us tell us otherwise. The far you are the harder it is to see ourselves through all our failures and wickedness. If a Pastor like Him is aware of his humanity. Why im so hard on myself.. I got to find out this is the same reason i stay close.. I dont trust myself with my Life.. I placed it on GOD hands cuz i really mess it all up when i take charge.

Love the story! 7:00 is great. Whenever I'm in the big city, my home of Fort Worth, it can get tough focusing. All the noise of the big city can real get loud and tune you out. Whenever I go back to my hometown, Beaumont Texas, I always get a nice good reflection and whiff of motivation. Going back to your beginning and your "core" helps you remember your why. Your why will always help you get from where you're at to where you want to be. Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you so much for this conversation Pastor Steven, we're about to get on our university campus for ministry this year and we really want to know how to connect with people authentically so that people can meet Christ without us getting in the way. This conversation between you and Charlamagne is basically a class in how to connect with people from all walks of life. Thank you, thank you SO MUCH!!!!
