I'm 22 years old, I just got married and my husband and I LOVE your sermons. So when I saw this up close and personal interview especially with YOUR OLDEST!? When y'all said y'all were about to close it out to do a fire round like NOOOO give another hour or 3 😆 this was absolutely phenomenal biblical sound advice!! So powerful, so encouraging, so life-changing!!!!! It's so awesome to get to see you just hanging out and not really worried about anything. I know with all of the backlash from social media has got to be very upsetting at times but you have TRULY been a pivotal roll in my walk with Christ!!! I am so glad y'all don't care or focus on what others say about you and your family because people are always going to talk and at the end of the day you know your heart's and motives and they are pure and genuine. Sadly people will find anything they can. I actually had quit going to church and had become angry at God for things that happened to me when I was so young and in 2020 my soul sister passed away on our graduation year.. 3 days after her birthday.. in my grief and pain after months of not working I went back and your sermon came up on my phone and completely cut out my music so I KNEW it was God speaking to me. Since THAT DAY I have listened to you and Hollys sermons and watched you guys videos. I led my best friend of 11 years to Christ and I told him since I struggled with reading the Bible and my addiction to smoking and drinking that it was easier for me also with ADHD to listen to these and Joyce Meyer, Mike Todd, Craig Groschel, and Jerry flowers because you paint such amazing illustrations for every age range and now we're married with Christ CENTERED foundation not just a Christian couple , but one who's lives are souly focused on what our purpose is for where God is leading us and I can't thank you enough Steven and Holly for your love for Christ and all you've done on these platforms AND WITH YOUR KIDS spreading it as well changing wnd most importantly saving lives with Gods word and wisdom Hes blessed yall with. I just NEEDED you to know.. I wish I could share more because of the rest of my family not being Christians and active addicts and alcoholics THEY ARE asking questions and wanting more for their own lives! Just love y'all so much and thank you! We live in VA so we hope to visit y'all's church soon ❤ much love Morgan & Xander Fowler!

I’ve always enjoyed listening to pastor Steven. I listened to him everyday when I found myself single and pregnant as a teenager, which led me to devote my life to God. God sent my daughter to save me, not “ruin my life”, like the world tells us. This podcast has strengthened my love for this pastor and I think it’s beautiful to see the relationship he has with his son, something that I pray I have with my daughter as she grows!

I am in my late 30s and this spoke to me in so many ways, and will help in so many areas in my current life stage. So many important and helpful words, quotes and examples. Not one minute was wasted in this podcast. So fruitful. Thank you Pastor Furtick for leading this incredible life-enhancing session, and great questions & hosting, Elijah and J.T 🙌 Powerful work. I am so grateful for this sit-down, it felt like I was in the room receiving it all. 🙏🌟

Extremely encouraging! I’m a pastor in the Northeast… helped a pastor launch a church in Salem, MA, in 2012 married my awesome wife then moved to a church in East Hartford to youth pastor. The church in Salem closed during the Pandemic. After being in East Hartford for 8 years, my family moved back with plans of launching a campus in Salem in the fall of 2025. Loved the words here from Ps. Steven on sustaining and not giving up. Great word guys!

The most foundational mindset in the book is: Christ is in me, I am enough. If you don’t start from enough, you’ll never get there.

    • @davidbradford9631
      @davidbradford9631 10 місяців тому +5

That is such a man-centered way to look at Christ. God says in Ezekiel that when he gives us the Spirit and the heart of flesh, it is not for our sake, but for HIS holy name. So you should be saying "Christ is in me, God is enough."

Brother you are not enough. Thats the whole problem with Furtick and his entire ministry. We dont need any more Christians thinking they're worthy, or enough. We are wretched sinners in the hands of a wrathful God and it is only because of Christ in which we have grace. NOT BECAUSE WE ARE GOOD, BUT BECAUSE HE IS GOOD

Thank you, Pastor Steven and the YTH nation podcast for being so real. We started watching online years ago and then lived briefly in Charlotte and volunteered and attended at Ballantyne. Through the years, I enjoyed watching you let us see a little bit of the man behind the ministry-your fears, your anxieties, your failures, and your successes. I keep telling my husband during church, “there’s another piece of Steven, the man, not the minister”. I’m far from being a youth, but thoroughly enjoyed this. Please do a Part 2. With Gratitude! Chris

I had stepped away from Elevation Church's online presence for about two years now (probably more) because the last time I looked up, Elijah was still in high school. So stumbling upon this podcast had to be GOD's direction in my life, right now. I could not have chosen this in my own strength. So this spoke to me on many levels:
    1. the relationship of father/son,
    2. the friendship of the podcast team,
    3. the introduction and testimony of the new book,
    4. the theme of obedience and courage that permeates the whole podcast.
I listened in 40-minute increments, reflected, and then continued and the whole episode has blessed me:
    1. I'm not stuck unless I stop.
    2. Christ is in me, I am enough.
    3. With God there is always a way, by Faith I will find it.
    4. God is not against me, but He's in it with me, working through me, fighting for me.
    5. My Joy is My Job.
    6. God has given me, everything I need, for the season I'm in. BELIEVING this final sixth one is EXACTLY why I came through above all else.
    Blessings GENTLEmen.

"Some of the things you're trying to figure out, let Him work on those things, do what you can, stay in the season He has you in faithfully, and let God fight the battles that are too big for you" That is excellent practical advice. That's us acknowledging that He is in control. We are to be obedient to Him.

I love that! The story of you and Holly waiting to kiss until you were engaged and then deciding to wait to kiss until marriage. That is so beautiful. That's what I'm talking about. When Jesus becomes the center and you sacrifice the desires of your flesh for all that God is building in each of you. That's one of the highest forms of honor. To let marriage itself be special.

I think that is an awesome way to learn scripture the way you played guitar and sang to the youth when you were young. I love that! I want God to use me. How innocent. To ask Him to use you in every day ordinary things, simple things, not needing to be seen by people, only by God, cause He is the one who is calling, He sees who has a need. It's about serving Him through obedience. "Is that what you want, for God to use you, or do you want for people to see you?" Wow. That's direct. That hits like a snare. PREACH

"I'll go off-track, and sometimes it's been too uptight" that's me right now. This past week and a half and even now. How can you so easily put into words what I'm going through? I feel like I want to be called Moses, I'm not good with speech, putting my thoughts into the right words, and not even sure that I can sort my thoughts out. You make it so effortless. God uses you that's the simple truth!

That's so humbling to know that you internally struggle, even before and during starting the church. You were and are the perfect candidate. You don't know when God is using you. That is powerful. Where God put you He will help you. Calling from God is greater than temptation to quit. It's amazing to realize that we're all just human. And then we realize Jesus was too.

“you’re never too far gone for Gods grace to reach you, but don’t go any further than you have to.” Don’t make it more painful for yourself than it already is. To acknowledge and accept that you’ve fallen further than you wanted to and that now you’ve got a little further to go in order to fall back where God called you to. ❤❤❤❤

Too far gone, too happy, too joyful, too tired, too sad, too scared. Don’t do it is ok but not when it keeps us from rational thoughts. I always thought if you can get to far one way you can be closer to home then what anyone or I Make it up too easy or too hard. Why not now instead stop saying it’s anything but possible. You must lay down, you must work hard. But now God gave us what we need. People do bring out their best of each other but God is the only way not to get off course with him with others! Together staying steady together through us all amen❤️🦋never fails like the world sometimes makes us feel like❤️🦋

God so loved us all amen! Align with him and others that know we fail but we also know it’s not easy but it’s to know what the intentions are and trusting them because we came together with good intentions with each other not to judge. Here is the table we can all come to. Amen! Then you and God can step it up better next time together! Event one not the only event! Amen! It’s look’s crazy if someone never watched it done like that they immediately dismiss it not qualified according to the world. Gods got our best interest first so we make him first amen I believe ❤️🦋
