This carrier doesn’t work on straight steer tube. Only works on tapered.
Today i got my EDC Tool. What is the ring on the cable tie for?
That ring rubber is required if you're using FOX 38 fork.

On 4.42 - washer. What is it for?
Hi, on 5.47- there's is rubber washer/ring i have removed it, that to be replaced by that rubber star washer (on 4.42) but only if you are using FOX 38 fork and the threaded EDC Top Cap version, for the EDC threadless Carrier v2 that rubber washers are not required. thanks

I got a chrisking headset and im afraid of destroying it by inderting this - anybody got any experience on this??
Will not damage your headset and will replace your headset top cap. It’s important to ensure you purchase the correct one for your fork tube sizes
