Hello!! Im glad i watched this. Im trying to cook 1 cooler of rice and was wondering if 5.2kg would be enough. Please did this give you 2 full coolers.
I was literally researching what the purpose of bayleaf was yesterday, because i attempted trying to cook and perfect my jollof recipe for the first time in a couple of years and only used thyme and curry. Some people said there's some herby menthol taste to it, some said if there's no taste it's because the leaf is old. I'm going try fresh ones, they do seem unnecessary. We can get "Herby" flavour from thyme
Yes I'm just not a fan of bay leaf at all, i dont see it's usefulness, And the clients requested no onions. So many times i don't go over board to impress clients. They can be very difficult
Thank u ma for this video,it was very helpful especially the tips for the cooler.pls i want to cook for 200 guest and its only jollof rice that will be served so pls how many kg of rice will be sufficient with a little extra to take home? Tnx in anticipation for ur quick reply
Hi, lovely video. I was supposed to make Jollof for 150-200 guests an I was told to make 25kg of rice(half bag or rice). I don’t know if it would be too much tho.
Hello and thanks for your enquiry. 25kg of rice is too much. From my own experience three coolers of rice should do which i would say each cooler is 26 liters. Minding you its not only jollof rice that would be consumed. So i would say 15kg, unless your client wants in excess so their guests can have takeaways. I hope that helps
Thank you very much for this video. I'm glad k found it. Please I'm really particular about getting the right measurements for party jollof rice. Please how many Kg of rice do I need for 150 guests (jollof rice) ?
Let me get chilled coke to enjoy this rice
Most hardworking. The rice is looking yummy. I love that they are standing on their own even after cooking

Thanks for watching. I will suggest you cook 10kg of rice, that should do. To get even enough just add a few bowls of rice. I hope that helps
This is just so perfectly cooked. We love you too beautiful.I totally enjoyed ❤

Also, did you cook it in two batch or you made the two coolers at once
At once

For 150 guests roughly say 15kg
Lovely
Many cups of rice would fit in 6 or 14litre cooler
Nice! How many liters are your coolers?
24litres
@@Honeyzkitchenuk alright thanks for your swift response. Is it for each or both combined? I was hoping that the rice would be more after cooking.
You are very welcome ma'am 🙏
Was the plum tomatoes added to the blended bell peppers.
Yes it was blended together. Apart from the tomato 🍅 puree which you would fry first before adding the blended pepper
@Honeyzkitchenuk Oh, okay, thanks a lot.
You are welcome 😊
Can you make this with normal gas cooker?
It depends on the cooking equipments you have
@Honeyzkitchenuk for a pan like yours or big size pot. Also, can I please confirm that you used just tha bag of rice to serve 150 to 200 people?
Looks yummy! Enlightening! Thanks
Hope you enjoy
Yes, I did, and I'm going to try it.
Hi
This looks nice ❤️
Just wanted to ask, would a bag of normal longrain rice serve 400 guests?
You havent specified the Kg of the rice
And this depends on what you want to cook Jollof rice and fried rice?
What time did you add the plum tomatoes
Once you are satisfied with the outcome of the fried tomato 🍅 puree
I didn't see you add onions to your fries
Why didn't you put onions and bayleaf
Because I don't like bay leaf, everybody has different style of cooking. For the onions the customer didn't want.
