Too bad not many people (as far as I know) are listening to music in cinema. Would love to go to a listening party in a cinema though!!

SO: It's better to create an "alternate bed" with objects in your DAW on fixed positions, and leave the bed inputs on the Dolby Audio Renderer unused. Right? This way we also avoid using the LFE channel (as objects are full range) and leave the sub content crossover separation to playback systems. I´m thinking I can even get rid of the Center "bed-object" as well, provided the phantom center of Front L&R will come out of the center speaker anyway...

Nice. Thanks for the clarification. Would it be safe to say that I can choose to use Objects as my default workflow? You mentioned you only use Beds if its coming out the front speakers. What other instances would you choose Beds over Objects? Because from my understanding it kinda seems redundant to have Beds to begin with. (please excuse me if this sounds dumb, Im new to Dolby Atmos and trying to understand all these concepts) Peace from Singapore!

Yes I personally use objects as my default. I find for me it's good practice to use objects when you are positioning sound anywhere of the LCR.
The other times I may use beds is if I am using atmos reverb or creating sends to put certain sounds out of specific speakers.
You could quite easily not use beds at all. I prefer objects because when you open the ADM each object has it's own individual information. Whereas a bed is all rolled into one.

Thank you a million times for this explanation; it's hard to come by - despite the fact that it's so straightforward.
I watched dozens of tutorials till I eventually got it; obviously, I'm new to Atmos.

Mirror the bed channels into fixed-position objects, and you're set.
