Really stunned by how "TV program" these first eps are, and how the tortoise was 10 years ago. Thank you for putting the list at the end of the new videos Mr.Kenan!
Man I be been watching all your new stuff and just went back to watch these two episodes per your suggestion in another video. I’ve just noticed how large Darwin is now compared to your first episodes!
Artisticly speaking, your color choices are wonderfulllll!,....There's nothing wrong with brightening up the property. The colors DO NOT affect the "TORTS" either way BUT the terrain changes/additions are CRITICAL to any life-forms well being. So,so very cool and ANOTHER intelligent, interesting, educational, instructional "VID".Thank YOU sir.
Do a care video on caiman lizards!!! It is so difficult to find a good caiman lizard care video as well as what they need to thrive as a captive kept species
I love turtles there my live. I have 6 turtles there names are turbo, lemon,Paris, peter, peanut, peter pan.Turtles are my favorite animal. I love what you do with your turtles. I will have a channel in the summer it,s called taylor,s turtle world
AsianAcey you should! It's only as expensive as you make it. My sister had the most gorgeous tort safe weeds in her yard last summer. I went and got tons of them to transplant in my torts pen (only we tort nerds PLANT weeds lol). I dug my own mud wallow and I looked around creeks and collected big rocks etc. All free except gas 👌
that pond looks really beautiful when the black was added it became really defined. he is a good landscaping artist. But I feel like the pond is too high and the water too low for the tortoise to reach. No?
That tortoise pond looks way too steep to me. It looks as if they could stumble on the way up or down and turn over. Also, how would you clean it, for instance, if they happened to defecate in it?
Hi very cool tort collection I am wanting to build a concrete waterbowl but not that big and was wondering do I need to put anything in the concrete to make it water proof so the water does not soak in or is concrete already waterproof
I am looking to do this in my Leopard torts outdoor pen but on a smaller scale, lol. do you have any suggestions or is there anything you'd do different looking back? how do you drain and fill the pool?
This was so cool! I live in Central Florida, and have a little family of four gopher tortoises in my back yard. The mom and dad have been here for over 30 years! I know by law I'm not supposed to touch them, but is there anything like this that I could add to my backyard for them to play on and enjoy?
Dude!!!! How do you drain it and filter it?? Watched all your pond videos never heard you say anything about drainage and filter. Get back to me! Please lol Thanks I got a couple of redfoots from you a large male sulcata and a male leopard tortoise from you and I've been procrastinating on the ponds curious how you set yours up. How do your the mechanics work.
+Matthew Sansone, based on the size of that thing, and the fact that it does not hold more than 9 inches of water (which Kenan mentioned in an earlier post), you could clean it out every couple of days with a shop vac.
I love everything about your place m fl. And the pond at the house is fricken awesome!! But this looks a bit too.....up n down. Ya know what I mean, to steep maby. I can't tell a Lot from the video, n hell I'm sure u know what your doin. I watch u to know how to take care of my baby girl Romey (sulcata 9mo old). I just thought it be more shallow, n not so far to the h2o strait down.
Hi, I am not sure if you are replying to comments, but I love your tortoise pond. I have been looking at making one for my own tortoise. We are in England and mine is an approximate 60 year old thur spied tortoise so not giant like your amazing ones. I also only have a small ish garden - which my two bunnies also live in, plus my children. I had planned to make a pond that the bottom part could hold fish and the top half allow for the tortoise, but I just can't think how to make it properly in a small space - would you have any suggestions please? I was thinking of placing a wire (coated) net and rocks over the base, but I am worried he might slip and drown if I don't get it right. any help would be greatly received. Thanks, Carrie
I find it interesting when "hardcore herpers" insist tortoises arent turtles when, taxonomically and phylogenetically, they are. Anyway, gorgeous pond!
+Kamp Kenan I love it when people have lots of tiny little microclimates on their property it's so much nicer than the big boring blah expanse of dry grass and fire ants that i and my parents have at our house😔. If I had it my way our backyard would probably look just like yours but when your 15 whattyagonnado?
Kenan, I have two Aldabras and want to make a large enclosure with pool for them. I have an old water feature in my back yard that I want to convert. Would love to speak to you for some tips
+SkeleBun Bun Red Ears are like Billy goats very tough water turtles, will eat anything. If they're small, Put them in an aquarium with something for them to climb up on, must have a water heater set at around 80 ( double check that number ) and a light that gives them UVB ( I believe ) to simulate sun light , which they need to stay healthy. Feed them the turtle pellets from the pet store.I also like to ad minnows from the creek to snack on. and you also will need an aquarium filter, or the tank will get smelly in a few days and become a very unhealthy environment .
hey I love what your doing I found a tortoise the other day his shell was cracked so I bright him to my house for safe keeping I perfor lizzards but I just couldn't leave him out it the wild I'm feeding him fruit and greens I'm in Florida too I know You can care for him better then I can atm form watching your videos can you plz get in contact with me I'd really what him to go to a good home and you can provide it for him I'd greatly appreciate it
I own a 1/2 dollar coin size res and a desert tortoise they are the best they even play together when I let them or attack each other I don't know😂 what do you recommend for a new semi aquatic turtle
how do u clean the tortoise all kind of crazy stuffs coming out from their inner parts , it stings really bad the land and the ponds too gets bad in a week .
Really stunned by how "TV program" these first eps are, and how the tortoise was 10 years ago. Thank you for putting the list at the end of the new videos Mr.Kenan!
I’m watching the oldies. It is now 2023!!! And I am lovin it!!!! Beautiful job on the pond
Watching in 2024 and I'm obsessed with the tortoise adventure action at the end. Its the cutest and so entertaining.
Love to hear it Danielle!🤠
Man I be been watching all your new stuff and just went back to watch these two episodes per your suggestion in another video. I’ve just noticed how large Darwin is now compared to your first episodes!
It looked like you had “Norm” from Cheers working with you.
I was thinking the same thing!
Ur funny .everyone should yell Ken instead of norm
Would have really liked to see them get into and out of the water/pond.
Yay me to
i was waitin for him to slide down into the pond aswell. bummer
Me as well, but its fine
ItsYoGirlNikki
I can't seem to get my Sulcata to drink water.
Margo
reallly liked the end of the video, just watching the tortoise climbing the pond
Defanantly some great motivation to get out and update our turtle and blue tongue skink pits (even if we are only a fraction of the size haha)

AsianAcey you should! It's only as expensive as you make it. My sister had the most gorgeous tort safe weeds in her yard last summer. Wow fantastic job x
Kenan has an adorable underbite......LOL
thanks for the info.
I couldn’t art this I’d be too perfectionist
Kenan is the man but, this looks like certain tortoise damage to me. I bet he has fixed the precarious tortoise fall situation by now?
that pond looks really beautiful
when the black was added it became really defined. he is a good landscaping artist. But I feel like the pond is too high and the water too low for the tortoise to reach. No?
I real love your episodes I would buy a pair

Good job
That tortoise pond looks way too steep to me. It looks as if they could stumble on the way up or down and turn over. Also, how would you clean it, for instance, if they happened to defecate in it?
Lisa Craig actually they’re great climbers because of the islands they come from, make sure you research the species before you come at people :).
Hi very cool tort collection I am wanting to build a concrete waterbowl but not that big and was wondering do I need to put anything in the concrete to make it water proof so the water does not soak in or is concrete already waterproof

You should teach us how to build a box turtle enclosure
Yes. That would be awesome. Also more information on land tortoises would be nice.....
I need to build a pond for my 18 year old sulcata, do you have a video.?
Dude!!!! How do you drain it and filter it?? Watched all your pond videos never heard you say anything about drainage and filter. Get back to me! Hi, I am not sure if you are replying to comments, but I love your tortoise pond. I have been looking at making one for my own tortoise.
