Sorry you are going through this. Sleep deprivation sucks. I'm not an insomniac per say, I would just always stay up late watching tv or playing video games. The blue light from the screens always affected my sleep. So I'm not 100% sure if this would help you out. About a year ago I bought a pair of blue and green light-blocking glasses. They have helped me tremendously in setting up my normal sleep pattern. I put them on an hour or so before I need to go to bed, and within a half-hour, I start to get that real sleepy feeling, then I'm normally out within an hour. Can I just add that carbohydrates for your last meal can IMPROVE your sleep! I'm not saying eat a whole pizza but maybe some potatoes, bananas, honey, berries, kiwi.
Those who choose not to be in control of their lives, yeah. And that's true for the vast majority of humans in the present phase of development. Sub 8 hours blurr the lines of what is wanted and what is not wanted. Which is why most people bitch about life, bc they buy into the conditional lie that they aren't worthy if they get optimal sleep and so they don't know how to want deliberately & authentically yet. So yeah do what you want I guess. Full sleep just allows you to get it.

Stop working graveyard shift... I worked graveyard shift for years and it destroyed my health.
@@rebeccaarel3040 i got your i pay my bills
Read “the end of night”. Great book on light and sleep. Best thing is to change jobs if possible.
I completely understand about the need to pay bills that's what kept me in the job so long. But you see my health made the decision for me I ended up in the hospital really sick and then my doctor wouldn't even sign my papers to return to work for 3 months. Then when I did try and return I realized how bad I was. I was so weak I couldn't even do what I had been doing for so many years. I ended up losing my job.. I literally had to take 6 months to work on me and my health so I could function again. It was a huge wake up call. Scared me so bad.. From that point I had to realize I needed to do what was right for my health or the decision wouldn't be mine anymore. It doesn't feel good not feeling like your in control of your own life or body. And I never wanted to feel that again...
@@rebeccaarel3040 thanks, I do understand, i will be making changes in the near future
Insomniacs don’t choose to sleep less.
I so need better sleep 😴
To clarify it’s a myth obesity is the sole cause of sleep disorders. Slender, healthy people can still suffer from sleep apnea and need a CPAP. But losing weight if needed and improving health is always a benefit.
Turn ALL technology off 2 hours before bed, makes a huge difference
Hard time fallin asleep😩
💯
Can I just add that carbohydrates for your last meal can IMPROVE your sleep! I'm not saying eat a whole pizza but maybe some potatoes, bananas, honey, berries, kiwi.
Life does not allow in most cases 8 hrs. Do whatever you want... you cant
@@Brofessorben1017 that is basically everyone. Even people who have the money don't always get 8hrs. It is nice to say they aren't in control but there is more that goes in to it
A marine can sleep anywhere on any ground because bc he needs too.... that doesn't mean he can get 8 hrs even if he wants it
There's a lot of emotional practice that's required to optimize life. No everyone knows how to yet. Even us Marines.
@@Brofessorben1017 the point i made was you a marine can sleep anywhere...but it doesn't mean you can get 8 hrs...you are only proving my point
Nice any other tips on not living life according to your own will?
What do folks do who can’t sleep.
Typically your videos are great, a bit long, but great info. This time the content and the title do not match, my sleep is shyte, I know it’s bad in many ways, I was waiting for your solution which is.... “do something about it” face plant emoji !
Less cutsey camera angles and over hyping products on EVERY video wouldn't hurt either
is the brain resilient enough to repair itself after long term sleep deprivation?
Anyone else feel that the shooting style where you *pretend* to be talking to someone off-camera (pretending to be interviewed) while being shot at an angle is goofy AF?
Take 1 tablet pill of magnesium at night and you will sleep like a baby + you’ll get your 340mg of this important nutrient.
There are 4 or so different types of magnesium. Take magnesium glycinate.
Doesn't help me. I'm on day 4 of zero hours of sleep. I usually average 2-3 days of sleep per week.
@@Jfresh55 Sleeping pills, there's no other way. Im taking 1.5 of Stilnox and if I'll sleep 4-5 h I'm a happy man...!
OMG, if I sleep more than six or eight hours I wake up with my neck in a pretzel!
You didn't say what "THIS" was to improve sleep !
