When I saw the announcement for this collection my first thought was: this is for Stefanie. And I think here the theme, the collab and the polishes are beautifully cohesive. But frankly it looks more like a part X of all the previous collections than a stand alone unique collaboration which I think it should be. I am still waiting for my first ever Cirque Jelly to arrive (Dove) as I have high hopes I can use them as blurring base coats (like you I was not excited over the designed blurring base coats) and then I would get Odette or Kismet

This just makes me sigh. Cirque is losing me with these latest collections. They're too similar to what they've released already dozens of times. The only one I like is the black magnetic, but I'm never in a lighting situation where the holo would show, so that's pointless for me as well. At least I'm saving money.

I have staining on my nails. I had grabbed Mooncat's Getting Even Nail Primer to wear under sheers. I also heard it preventing staining, so I've been wearing it under strainers. Well, my staining has almost completely disappeared. Even though I wear polish 24/7 & with no breaks.
thats great to hear! i do love their primer too, i just prefer to show collection swatches over a clear base coat and not anything milky that can add to the opacity of a sheer polish if that makes sense lol but I’m glad to hear it definitely works to prevent any staining!

Maybe that one would look pretty as a jelly sandwich with Odette? I loved Tiny Dancer on its own! Even in 2 coats. So pretty and delicate! And then with the flash…wowza! 🤩 Coquette over Odette is so so gorg! ✨ But I think the standout for me is that beautiful thermal. So so perfect!!! It’s the thermal I never knew I needed! 😍

Do you ever try swatching magnetic polishes -cat eye style - by putting 2 coats, then use magnet on third coat. I find it resolves the too sheer issue.

I was way too clumsy to get into ballet, lol, but I still love that ballerina vibe 🩰, so I was quite interested in this collection. Interesting how it's beautifully cohesive but w/ different 'finishes' --- thermal, magnetic, reflective, aurora shimmer, pearl shimmer toppers and a basic base jelly --- so there's something for everyone and potential to mix-n-match. I like it for its dainty ethereal-ness overall, but I came away only really liking Coquette and Odette b/c those are finishes I enjoy over the others. I've yet to find a non-streaky white pearl polish so Sylph doesn't surprise me, but man, that one is...rough. Black Swan surprised me as well, I'm not big on magnetics, but wow, it has me intrigued to try.
lol saaame, i’m far from graceful but have always loved the art of it! and yes definitely love the varied finishes in this one, it almost doesn’t feel like it bc the colors are somewhat similar but i really loved how it worked out. i think Odette and Coquette are two of my favs too, with Tiny Dancer closely behind hehe, but yeah Sylph was a struggle for me 😅 and i’m glad you appreciated Black Swan too! it really is a cool finish!
Thanks for the quick release on this video! I have to say I am whelmed…again. It is a cohesive collection, and I do like Coquette and Odette - but I do feel that they would not be unique in my collection. I understand they want to hop onto the glazed donut trend (quite late now), but Sylph is not it! It looks so streaky that I would not want to wear it as a topper…but it would look better in a jelly sandwich to hide the brushstrokes?? I guess at the end of the day, they are appealing to the soft/feminine/ballet core trend, so I really can’t be surprised that every thing looks so…basic. 🙊

Had this playing while I exercised so I didn't comment right away but this had me practically gnawing my arm off. There's nothing particularly striking about these, but the collection works so well together!! I ended up painting my nails pink and white and I no longer have the urge to cannibalize myself, thank goodness :D I think I'm going to cave and get Coquette and Tiny Dancer. I don't care about flash reflectives polishes much but I love how delicate that rose gold is

I’m not sure if I would get anything from this collection besides black swan, (I just like more bolder colors rather than the more subtle things cirque tends to do), but they still really nailed this one! The polishes are all quite pretty while still remaining true to the theme :) black swan in particular was such a surprise since it doesn’t seem streaky at all and also has a beautiful holo shine that makes it stand out from just layering chemistry and nsfw jelly together If I had some excess cash, I would love to get the toppers from this collection just to experiment with them since i find the pearl shine is interesting? But it’s just not stuff I would wear personally lol
i totally get that! i know a lot of people are tired of these soft~ palettes they tend to do but yeah this theme just takes the cake hehe. totally agree that Black Swan was such a surprise! i did see another comment mention they have a KBShimmer holo magnetic topper (so a holo version of chemistry) and will try to recreate it with NSFW, so that’s another option too! haha yeah i can see the appeal in experimenting with layering everything and testing out combos! but at least your wallet will thank you for holding back 😝
Black swan, Odette, and Bisou bisou might just be my first cirque polishes. Even though I don’t really dress very femme (my closet is almost entirely black and red LOL) I still find myself drawn to cirque’s dainty sheers and delicate sparkles. Maybe it’s time for me to expand into pastel goth-
Do you find Cirque’s jellies take a long time to dry/cure? I only have two (777 and jade jelly) but both of them are still a bit soft 30 min after topcoat.
I’ve been experimenting with different topcoats- the cuticula has been my go to lately but yesterday I just got a top coat from this brand Pear Nova. It might be my new go to it dries very fast (no toluene!)I’m just hoping for no shrinkage.
oh i can see that, but yes they’re definitely very different imo where Sylph is a true white pearl but Flora is a white iridescent shimmer thats a bitt pearly lol and its more opaque too! the thermal is def cute going from the baby blue to pink, it just depends how often you’d wear it since it has a shorter shelf life 😣

Do you know if the holo in black swan will fade? I had a kb shimmer holo magnetic topper that is no longer holo and I've heard it's a thing that holo magnetics aren't stable

omg yes its much lighter than Rose Jelly, that one is warmer and more mauvey than Chiffon (i think I compared those two in my Gourmand video btw) but no Morningtide is even more dusty and more like a periwinkle color, but Bisou Bisou is like a sky blue!

I noticed it’s been gone for a while, but I wasn’t sure if they discontinued it? iirc Voile was more neutral, I had a mini bottle but didn’t like how it looked on me because it was almost too yellow 😓
*sigh* Individually, some of these are not bad. But again I am underwhelmed by how this collection looks. I think that "glazed donut" polish is the worst though. I am actually not against pearly polishes, but the formula looks really sheer and streaky-looking. Not worth the Cirque price for sure.
thats definitely fair! i think OPI has a similar sheer pearl, Kyoto Pearl if i’m not mistaken which would be a great alternative! sadly don’t have that one but i’ve seen them use it in their socials to layer over/under other shades for their take on ‘glazed donut’ nails. sorry you’re not loving this collection, but at least you’re saving money!! 😅

Your skin tone is similar to mind & this is showing why I avoid certain yellows... 😅 Alchemy probably looks really good on warmer & darker skin tones.

I have staining on my nails. I had grabbed Mooncat's Getting Even Nail Primer to wear under sheers. I also heard it preventing staining, so I've been wearing it under strainers. Well, my staining has almost completely disappeared. Even though I wear polish 24/7 & with no breaks.
thats great to hear! i do love their primer too, i just prefer to show collection swatches over a clear base coat and not anything milky that can add to the opacity of a sheer polish if that makes sense lol but I’m glad to hear it definitely works to prevent any staining!

Stef you look so so pretty! 😍💖🩰This collection is so so pretty! I love them all except the pearly one Sylph. That finish is just not my jam. Maybe that one would look pretty as a jelly sandwich with Odette? I loved Tiny Dancer on its own! Even in 2 coats. So pretty and delicate! And then with the flash…wowza! 🤩 Coquette over Odette is so so gorg! ✨ But I think the standout for me is that beautiful thermal. So so perfect!!! It’s the thermal I never knew I needed! 😍

I love this collection! It's the first time in a long time that I am really interested by Cirque! I just have to decide if I need chiffon if I buy both kismet and Odette 🤔 also need to decide if I need coquette....I love toppers but I already have so many but I haven't purchased any shimmergraphic yet

Do you ever try swatching magnetic polishes -cat eye style - by putting 2 coats, then use magnet on third coat. I find it resolves the too sheer issue.
i actually haven’t tried that yet! i know it works as a time saving hack but i never thought about it working to cover up the sheerness 😮 thank you for letting me know!!
Ohh and honestly I don’t recall seen a thermal that changes from pastel to pastel that is really unique imo!!!!

I was way too clumsy to get into ballet, lol, but I still love that ballerina vibe 🩰, so I was quite interested in this collection. Interesting how it's beautifully cohesive but w/ different 'finishes' --- thermal, magnetic, reflective, aurora shimmer, pearl shimmer toppers and a basic base jelly --- so there's something for everyone and potential to mix-n-match. I like it for its dainty ethereal-ness overall, but I came away only really liking Coquette and Odette b/c those are finishes I enjoy over the others. I've yet to find a non-streaky white pearl polish so Sylph doesn't surprise me, but man, that one is...rough. Black Swan surprised me as well, I'm not big on magnetics, but wow, it has me intrigued to try.
lol saaame, i’m far from graceful but have always loved the art of it! and yes definitely love the varied finishes in this one, it almost doesn’t feel like it bc the colors are somewhat similar but i really loved how it worked out. i think Odette and Coquette are two of my favs too, with Tiny Dancer closely behind hehe, but yeah Sylph was a struggle for me 😅 and i’m glad you appreciated Black Swan too! it really is a cool finish!

Thanks for the quick release on this video! I have to say I am whelmed…again. It is a cohesive collection, and I do like Coquette and Odette - but I do feel that they would not be unique in my collection. I understand they want to hop onto the glazed donut trend (quite late now), but Sylph is not it! It looks so streaky that I would not want to wear it as a topper…but it would look better in a jelly sandwich to hide the brushstrokes?? I guess at the end of the day, they are appealing to the soft/feminine/ballet core trend, so I really can’t be surprised that every thing looks so…basic. 🙊

Had this playing while I exercised so I didn't comment right away but this had me practically gnawing my arm off. There's nothing particularly striking about these, but the collection works so well together!! I ended up painting my nails pink and white and I no longer have the urge to cannibalize myself, thank goodness :D I think I'm going to cave and get Coquette and Tiny Dancer. I don't care about flash reflectives polishes much but I love how delicate that rose gold is

I’m not sure if I would get anything from this collection besides black swan, (I just like more bolder colors rather than the more subtle things cirque tends to do), but they still really nailed this one! The polishes are all quite pretty while still remaining true to the theme :) black swan in particular was such a surprise since it doesn’t seem streaky at all and also has a beautiful holo shine that makes it stand out from just layering chemistry and nsfw jelly together
If I had some excess cash, I would love to get the toppers from this collection just to experiment with them since i find the pearl shine is interesting? But it’s just not stuff I would wear personally lol
i totally get that! i know a lot of people are tired of these soft~ palettes they tend to do but yeah this theme just takes the cake hehe. totally agree that Black Swan was such a surprise! i did see another comment mention they have a KBShimmer holo magnetic topper (so a holo version of chemistry) and will try to recreate it with NSFW, so that’s another option too!

Black swan, Odette, and Bisou bisou might just be my first cirque polishes. Even though I don’t really dress very femme (my closet is almost entirely black and red LOL) I still find myself drawn to cirque’s dainty sheers and delicate sparkles. Maybe it’s time for me to expand into pastel goth-

Do you find Cirque’s jellies take a long time to dry/cure? I only have two (777 and jade jelly) but both of them are still a bit soft 30 min after topcoat.
they can take longer if you do thicker coats, so i would suggest thinner ones for faster dry time and a quick dry top coat! which one are you using?
I’ve been experimenting with different topcoats- the cuticula has been my go to lately but yesterday I just got a top coat from this brand Pear Nova. It might be my new go to it dries very fast (no toluene!)I’m just hoping for no shrinkage.
Sylph reminded me of Olive Ave's Flora but Cirque's is probably a bit more of true white? I'm very tempted to get the thermal
oh i can see that, but yes they’re definitely very different imo where Sylph is a true white pearl but Flora is a white iridescent shimmer thats a bitt pearly lol and its more opaque too! the thermal is def cute going from the baby blue to pink, it just depends how often you’d wear it since it has a shorter shelf life 😣

Do you know if the holo in black swan will fade? I had a kb shimmer holo magnetic topper that is no longer holo and I've heard it's a thing that holo magnetics aren't stable
i honestly have no idea, I only just heard about that recently myself 😅 but that sucks, if it happened with your KB holo magnetic then i guess i could see it happening, where it’s like how thermals have a short shelf life? 😓
I think a ballet theme is a clever way to do a spring collection. It makes the black swan make sense. I can live for now without any of these, though.

omg yes its much lighter than Rose Jelly, that one is warmer and more mauvey than Chiffon (i think I compared those two in my Gourmand video btw) but no Morningtide is even more dusty and more like a periwinkle color, but Bisou Bisou is like a sky blue!

Individually, some of these are not bad. But again I am underwhelmed by how this collection looks. I think that "glazed donut" polish is the worst though. I am actually not against pearly polishes, but the formula looks really sheer and streaky-looking. Not worth the Cirque price for sure.
thats definitely fair! i think OPI has a similar sheer pearl, Kyoto Pearl if i’m not mistaken which would be a great alternative! sadly don’t have that one but i’ve seen them use it in their socials to layer over/under other shades for their take on ‘glazed donut’ nails. sorry you’re not loving this collection, but at least you’re saving money!! 😅

This collection is immensely dull and some of the colors just make the nail look yellow and gross!!! They seriously wasted their time and seriously need to step up their game!!
that’s just my nail being stained lol if your nails aren’t stained, these won’t look yellow, but its okay that you don’t like them either way!
