Love the attention to detail. I would, however, customise it with an off road, baja style body, large paddle type rear tyres and give it a blue and white colour scheme. Oh! hang on...
I'd love to see more of those boxes presented with racing kits! I'm always having to go out buying boxes for the cars because I'm having to take the cars to the track and back again. A lot of kits are in boxes that are only able to fit the PIECES that the cars are made up of and NOT the actual complete car itself! Although saying that the TRF kits are quite good with that.
I bet you could mod em to flip em over for a heavy drop. But considering it does use vw style suspension, I bet you could modify it to just slam it with some simple tweaks
I do like beetles ....and minis. I have loads from tamiya in different schemes. Not as good as yours. I think I will invest in this one. And do something special. Keep up the good work.👍
Love Herbie, so I obviously very happy to see this version coming out. I wish it was a bit more different than the Kommandeurwagen, but I'm still happy it exists in civilian form. BTW, you can assemble the wheels reversed by turning them 180deg and that would make it look closer to Herbie, if a bit tiny with those tires. Using a new camera? great, crisp close ups on this vid!
No same old iPhone 10 for close up footage running at 30fps in 4K. Audio isn’t from the iPhone, that’s recorded from my DSLR like the wide shots of me.
I would love to get one to paint up and weather it up some. It would make a great Herbie but I would love to make it look like a survivor car that may have been painted a few times with some tiny spots of rust starting to show and other little "fixes" here and there. It would be a lot of fun but it is pretty pricey to then spend more to change the looks and all that time to basically make a shelf queen out of it. Not sure it is worth or not, I am still weighing the pros and cons and seeing if it will fit into the budget!
It's crying out for a slow motion video it's crying out for a purple paint job they go into point so that way you have the ultimate paint job I would do a royale 💜 I think I saw it turned purple the Citroen is better
great review! I admire the level of detail of this brand! But there is something that worries me a lot, is it the quality of the stock electronics, esc, battery, servo, were these 3 components designed to last long periods of use? Can Fms live up to axial, gmade, kyosho or traxxas in terms of electronic quality? greetings
It's a stunning rc modell, they truly went the extra mile on details, but I don't like portals and 4wd on a regular bug, that puts me off. Without all these offroad features, and different liveries (herbie, s.o.), it would make a difference for me.
But... this civilian version of the 4 wheel drive military 'Kommandeurwagen' VW Beetle is pure fantasy (all post-war Bugs are 2wd with a more lower stance). And the shape of rear air intake grill is not as the real one... Anyway, if you want to make a correct Herbie replica, this is not the Ideal base: this is a split rear window (production years: from 1938 to 1953), very different in many details from the 1958-on square rear window models (as Herbie).
It’s an epic truck and it depends. At this price you will never be able to build it as you will lose so much money. If you love collecting NIB kits and that’s your passion, well you can justify it. It still feels a little expensive so I would try a few offers £850-£900 as that feels a little safer. One thing to be mindful about is we could see a rere at some point and that will lower this kit by a good chunk for 3-5 years. I think we will see the Dyna Store first but after that it would be really easy for Tamiya to release the Blaster. At the end of the day it depends on how deep your pockets are and the joy you get from a NIB kit👍🏻 As an investment it wouldn’t make you a large return as you are purchasing at the top of the market. What do you guys think? I’m I totally wrong or do you have a different take on it?
For model builders a high detail model for not crazy money...... Yeah.... No. That would be no where near enough out of scale detail for more money than say a mini art version. Or two. Or probably three. That's for an accurate ww11 version. Otherwise I guess tamiya, fujimi or aoshima for a equally cheaper civilian model.
I wouldn't buy this thing, just because I'm getting tired of these fascists' trinkets... this is a split window, representing the first production model of Volkswagen touted by Hitler during WW2. Not saying it is not a nice model, but this is at least the 3rd release modeling military vehicles from the third Reich. It's just getting old, is all I'm saying
I find it really frustrating that big channels like this always have the worst test footage… you say it’s good on tarmac but essentially drive it on the two worst terrains just because it’s close to your house… put in the the work and test it somewhere decent heck why not somewhere scenic? Just feels lazy as hell! the amount of effort I go to find good places to drive and no one’s even watching me just seems crazy to have so many viewers and then to quite frankly give a lack lustre reviews is wild to me. Plus when a vids just over ten minutes feels like it’s made for ad revenue rather than from passion. Just how it comes across to me. Could be wrong but really not impressed with this review really don’t learn anything new about it at all.
It might be best served to focus on your own channel and it’s content than trying to bash others. I wish you all the best success with your channel but yes, it takes effort, dedication and hours of work to grow. You can’t expect 1000 subscribers with only 25 videos and nothing new for six months. Try three videos a week for three years. Like you say, put in the work.
Absolutely gorgeous!👌🥰👍very impressive!
The heat is always a concern. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Wow 🤩 I love it ❤️ 😊😊
These are awesome

Awesome.!!! Beautiful car.!!
I love that they more or less kept the suspension style of the old bug. Swing arms in the rear, trailing arm beam in the front.

Love the detail on it, you could go to town with the paint job and do a proper Herbie "love bug" tribute.
FMS and ROCHOBBY have made so many stunning vehicles now. I wonder if they would ever offer kit versions of anything.
1/10th and kits would be epic
I wonder if those portals can be turned upside down to slam it and turn it into a Cal Look style bug
I bet you could mod em to flip em over for a heavy drop. But considering it does use vw style suspension, I bet you could modify it to just slam it with some simple tweaks
looking good Gavin

Hey there Gavin, the original Beetles and Kublewagens were the first vehicles to use portal axles, not Traxxas lol 😂

man, 2 hobbies in one, rc and model cars
Did you try switching it to rear wheel drive also
at first glance it looks like a Beetle, but to a fan ,quite a lot looks odd/wrong.These differences at least should help keep this on the market .

I’ve had a few for a few years now and no issues so far

Could it fit 3 inch scale action figures
Not sure on that one sorry
Id turn it yellow make it more “bee” like
So nice and very detailed, but why they make a four wheel drive in a Beetle? 🙈

Hi Gavin loving the vids keep them coming. Found a new in box Dyna Blaster £1150 is this stupid or worth it. Hope you don’t mind me asking.

@@RCKickschannel hi Gavin thanks for the advice. My problem is I would build it as love to have a new one rather than restoring one.
@@aron3322 well you will end up with a mint shelf queen but you will lose hundreds of ££
The blue light is very off putting. Just makes it look like there is a problem with the camera.

Will it take 3s ? 🤣🤣

I agree in the way I'd rather a 67 bug
