Bought our 2025 K4 EX just before Thanksgiving and we love it. It's my first new car in almost 20 years, so we are still learning the screen functions. I fell in love with the sporty look; moving up from a 2006 Ford Focus station wagon. No comparison, right? But over my many years, I've had a Corvette, Barracuda, Jetta, Saab, just to name a few. My only complaint, as a 70ish couple, the K4 sits low and we struggle a bit to get in and out.
Quick note because of Kia concerns, the 2.0 engine is The Smartstream G2.0 MPi Atkinson Cycle (G4NS) is an inline 4-cylinder engine with MPi and a 12.5:1 compression ratio; the engine makes 149 PS (147 hp; 110 kW) at 6,200 rpm and 18.3 kg. m (132 lb • ft; 179 N. m) of torque at 4500 rpm, it’s supposed to be a better engine, it also did just win the iihs top safety pick award for 2024
If Kia/Hyundai would stick with MPI engines, there possibly would be less carbon buildup. I actually like the K5 but the GDI engine is definitely a deal breaker.
I appreciate what Kia is trying to do and keeping affordable sedans around….however, not in love with the new design language. And this coming from a proud stinger owner.
I agree I liked this car at first but now the more I looked at it and I saw one in person at my dealership and and I finally seen some on the streets now. But now the sedan is just looks unappealing to me now. The Forte had the best looking design coming from Kia. That's my opinion
You won't get out the door for less than 25k! They add 1,500 inland handle fees, and 350 for most paint colors. So tired of the car industry's bait ya with a base price that doesn't exist. Then add tax, title and dealer fees and you will be close to 30k. Well that was easy.
I just got one, and I love it!
Awesome car! Congrats! 👏
did you really?

Same exact engine that was in my 2017 Elantra. Excellent car, bought new. Sold it 4 months ago at 104.000 miles. 0 repairs, 0 issues.

But how??
Yeah the design isn’t great.

The back area behind the side window looks like it was welded on to make the back seat bigger. Fugly.

Fun car, high style
Compared with Acura Integra

Then learn to negotiate its not that hard just a little research and knowledge beforehand
I appreciate that Kia is trying to keep prices down on the compact K4. I don't exactly like the style of it, preferred the Forte sedan.
Then get a forte it's not like they're going anywhere... plenty will no doubt be on the used market from people trading to the k4...
Why isn't there a HYBRID?
